MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Assassin

Chapter 10: Anonymous

Shadow narrowed his eyes at Yone, his grip on his dagger tightening even stronger.

"Who the hell is this guy?" One of the assassins whispered.

Shadow didn't immediately reply. He watched how effortlessly Yone had dismantled his teammate in seconds as he fought. The assassin called Requiem didn't have any wasted movement. No hesitation.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance," Back off. We have unwanted company."

Shadow didn't know why would anybody be in this far off place, he would understand Anonymous way of finding this place given his identity and background, but the new assassin, he found it hard to believe anyone would come all this way and risk their life as they passed all those level 4, 5 and 6 monsters.

"A friend of Anonymous?" Shadow frowned. But that didn't make sense since he had never seen this assassin before in End World, and he had never seen him on the ranking list.

"We will meet again Anonymous. Watch your back." He waved his hand, choosing to drop the matter. It was a great headache, and he didn't want to risk losing a level for nothing.

"Go ahead and try," Anonymous replied with a smirk, clearly not placing the assassins in his eyes but just worried about his teammates.

Shadow smiled and walked away, acting like he had just let them go out of his own goodness, with the other three following behind him.

"Tonka, do you know the assassin who just stepped in to save my little sister?" Anonymous had his eyes on the fleeing figures of the assassins as he inquired on the party voice chat.

Tonka went through all the famous assassins on End World in his memories, but even after several moments, he failed to find any resembling name or image of the guy." No, Ano, but his skills aren't something to be trifled with. I might even dare to say that he is better than your big brother, Night."

"I...I see, its just very hard to believe even though I just saw a glimpse of his skills," Anonymous swallowed his friends words that he had a very hard time accepting himself and approached Requiem, his lips curling into a smile.

"Friend, I'm truly grateful for your interference. Without you, we would have surely died." He paused for a moment before continuing," If you need any help in the future, whether it's in a dungeon or a war, just call me."

He swiftly sent an invite, which Yone accepted directly." Haha, I have always hated such guilds anyway, so don't think much about it, but let's have a chat one day."

Right after his words, Yone didn't seem to be leaving this place at all. He just roamed around in circles, his right hand stroking his chin as he thought deeply." The location of their secret hideout was near the noobies' deep forest, so more or so around this place since this is its border."

Yone couldn't quite remember the exact location of the assassins' hideout, but he knew it was somewhere right on the shore of this lake. It just seemed like he had to do some work to find them.

'Still, I'll need to level up to at least 2 before I can confidently say I can take them on,' he thought as he looked at the lake a few meters ahead of him.

Yone stepped toward the lake's edge, playing with a small rock between his fingers. He let out a slow breath, and his eyes locked onto the dark surface of the lake.

"If I remember correctly… you guys should be right about here."

He flicked the stone forward. It skipped once, twice, and then sank into the deep water.

After a bit of silence, a loud sound was heard as water splashed in all directions.

Rumble!

Rumble!...Rumble!

"Big brother, is this guy crazy? Is he actually taking agro of those giant level 6 monsters as a level 1 solo assassin?" HealtheWorld had already moved with her party a bit to the side as they also didn't plan on leaving and took agro of a pack of four tiny crabs the height of a meter to farm relentlessly.

Their levels were five and could more or less be tanked given their small size and their specialty in defense rather than attack, making it easier with their party that consisted of five balanced classes with a tank and healer.

It's just that the petite girl found it hard to believe that the assassin who just saved her life was sane as the one he was agroing was by no means something their party could handle, much less a solo player and an assassin class at that.

"Little angel, I know that you are worried about him and wish to repay the favor, but he is a grown up man and know what he getting himself into, let him play his game," Anonymous albeit surprised too, he still wished for the assassin to be in trouble so he could repay his debt instantly.

His fists clenched tightly as he felt that being in debt to someone else made him quite anxious, it felt like his status as a leader and a big brother had been tarnished,' Damn it, if only I was stronger, would I have to suffer such a feeling of humiliation?!'

Suddenly, two massive identical crabs the size of a small house appeared out of the water, their skin red with several black lines spread on it, their eyes locked at Yone as they ran towards him.

'Big, tanky, and strong. But predictable. If I can bait their attacks and strike their joints, this should be easy,' His mind raced with different fighting styles to deal with them.

Monster Name: Lake Shore Crab

Level: 6

Type: Beast (Aquatic)

HP: 600

'Here we go.'

The crabs immediately lunge forward without any warnings, their pincers snapping fiercely at an astonishing speed.

Yone barely sidestepped the first attack, as he felt the rush of wind as the massive claw slammed into the ground with a thud and cracked the earth.

"Tsk. Slow and it is something I can handle like I thought, but it sure is heavy."

Yone knew how to approach this fight, and he had done it so many times that he could even do it blindfolded.
