Chapter 1 Two Paths
```
"Wow, is Dantalion really leaving? I'm going to miss her so much." Belfeng hugged Hexia, rubbing back and forth constantly, and her ears on top of her head also swayed left and right, brushing across the face, tickling Hexia's cheeks.
"It's okay, I'll come back again later, and the manager also said that I could be allowed to use immersion mode to engage remotely from here," Hexia comforted Belfeng while holding her.
"I know that, but it means I won't be able to touch Dantalion, right~?" Belfeng lifted up her head, her red eyes wide open.
"It's not easy to have a couple of obedient and well-behaved juniors, and now both of them are leaving; I really hate to see them go," she continued.
Seeing Belfeng clinging to Dantalion and refusing to let her leave, Botis, on the other hand, came over and scared the rabbit away. To Belfeng, Botis, who keeps snakes, was a natural enemy.
"Alright, alright, Dantalion is not leaving forever. She'll come back in the future." Botis came over, pulling Belfeng's hands away, and looked at the girl surrounded by everyone.
"It's time for Dantalion to go to high school," she said, her voice lacking too much reluctance because she knew there would be plenty of opportunities to see Hexia in the future.
After seeing that everybody had almost finished chatting, Botis approached Hexia.
"Did you say goodbye to Lady Isabelle?"
"Not yet, I'll go in a bit," the girl shook her head.
"Hmm, don't forget, I think Lady Isabelle still has quite a few things she wants to talk with you about."
Afterward, Hexia continued to receive gifts from a succession of maids, including snacks, little accessories, and books that Hexia liked. She almost couldn't hold all these things in her arms and finally had to find a large box to store them first.
After finishing her farewells, she walked towards a corner of 'Dream of Glazed Glass,' where a familiar noblewoman sat, sipping coffee while looking at the screen of a projector, seemingly not in a hurry at all.
Although Hexia was no longer as timid as she used to be, she still became quite cautious in front of this noblewoman, tidying up the hem of her dress before approaching Lady Isabelle.
"Sit down, no need to be so cautious," Lady Isabelle put down her cup and then turned off the projector screen.
Looking at the girl in front of her with light gray hair, her gaze was gentle, and then she began to talk about some things.
"Unknowingly, you've been here for three months already."
"Yes," Hexia nodded.
"Three months, and you've changed quite a bit," she remarked with a hint of emotion.
"Leave the past behind for now; when you have enough strength one day, many troubles that seemed daunting in the past will become trivial."
"Is Dantalion curious why I'm helping you so much?"
"Yes," the girl nodded.
"To say that there's no selfishness at all would probably be difficult; sometimes I can't tell if it's an impulsive fondness or a sense of cherished affection triggered by seeing you."
"Songstress Talent is very rare, averaging only about 2-3 people per Star Domain, and most of them are at Starry Level. As for those breaking through to Moon Class, that is even rarer."
"Yulanduoja was one with the Songstress Talent back in the day; she has now retired, oh right, you don't know her real name, do you? Yes, I'm talking about Botis." The noblewoman seemingly revealed Botis's identity in front of Hexia without much thought.
"I once taught Botis for a time during college, and since then the contact between us has never ceased, and when she had the intention to retire, she came to discuss it with me."
```
"Perhaps to many people, the right thing to do is to let a songstress continue shining in her position, but humans are not machines, if we force some matters, it only adds to the pain."
"Although you have a songstress's talent, I won't say that you must become one. While it brings great benefits and income, the consequence is that you'll stand in the spotlight, under the scrutiny of countless people, and any slight action will be subject to various interpretations and magnification." She shook her head, looking into the distance.
"Not every songstress can bear this kind of pressure, so it's common for some to leave the profession."
"Because of your sensitive nature, you can perceive the subtleties in emotions and sing songs that are more sincere and moving. But this sensitivity also makes you more susceptible to getting hurt, what others may shrug off, might linger in your heart for a long time."
"So I often think, if every songstress could perform on stage and continue their ordinary lives off stage, wouldn't that be a better way."
"Therefore, when I learned that you were noticed by both academies, the idea took root in me to let you attend both, to experience two different lives, and ultimately allow you to make your own choice."
"At Yuanting Academy, you'll take vocal lessons, and there, dedicated teachers will instruct you on how to deploy your songstress's talent. However, I suggest not performing publicly during your school period. Instead, use this ability to interact with animals. It's much less stressful, and you can also develop talents for a side-line career." She said with a laugh.
"Actually, a songstress becoming a breeder is quite fitting. Botis had never learned anything related to breeding before, but in just a few months, she was able to get along well with those highly aggressive venomous creatures."
"Additionally, Yuanting Academy is close to a natural mountain area, with fewer outsiders and a relaxed atmosphere, a place where you can freely expand yourself."
While listening, Hexia nodded slightly, realizing Lady Isabelle had considered so much.
"Things are completely different over at Edith Academy."
Find adventures at empire
"There you'll meet heirs to various large companies and enterprises, stars, geniuses, and those of significant family backgrounds. Even student interactions involve many considerations of interest and numerous off-stage factors."
"Securing a foothold there is not an easy task; it will be a test for you. However, I still suggest you go, and not just to quietly pass the four years in a corner, but to boldly participate in the competition, facing all sorts of challenges and problems head-on."
"If you can truly persevere, by the time you graduate, you will have developed your own strength, and you will be able to effortlessly adapt to the various situations faced after gaining fame."
"Acquiring power is troublesome, not just the study of the Transcendent Sequence, the building of personal influence, but also various professional skills and abilities; all require a lot of energy, and you may even encounter setbacks and feel sad. But the advantage is, once you have power, you can avoid many minor annoyances in life."
"In fact, most people who have a rough time do not suffer from major setbacks but from an unending series of minor troubles. These issues drain energy, hold back steps, and prevent full immersion in one's career and growth."
"Although life at Edith Academy will bring you pressure and challenges, I believe it will also train you quickly, enabling you to truly live freely and easily in this world."
"That's all I wanted to say, I hope Hexia doesn't mind that I've arranged these things for you in advance."
"Not at all, thank you Lady Isabelle." The girl stood up and bowed respectfully to the noblewoman.
"With that, I'm also relieved." Lady Isabelle beckoned gently, inviting Hexia to sit beside her.
"You're still young, I don't want to talk to you about the interests of adults too much, but a famous songstress is inevitably subject to interference from various forces. If you come across anything you don't understand in the future, come to me. You could consider yourself half my student."
"Botis learned from me during her college years, and I tutored Andusia when she was a child. They both speak highly of you, I trust their judgment, so I'm more than willing to look after you. Don't feel overwhelmed or anxious about it."
"If you want to repay me, then advance boldly on the path of a songstress."
"Keep moving forward, sing to your heart's content, let your voice resonate through the cosmos, and eventually ascend to the throne of the Day Class, becoming the most influential songstress in the Federation after the two Color-Class songstresses."
"Then, my wish will be fulfilled."
