Chapter 59: Our Decision
Chapter Fifty-Nine:
That night I already planned to sneak out of the palace and since that my father already sends someone to spy on me. I am more careful to go out and I did everything that I could to hide my entire presence and went straight at the mountains to meet Melite.
"What are you planning to do now that your father knows about Haimon?" Melite asked after I told her what just happened earlier at the palace.
"I was planning to tell the truth to Haimon." I honestly replied since I don't want to hide things from him.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, indeed. I will tell him.
Manu Palace
"Aren't you going to report that to our King?" suddenly a woman came out of the blue and she already knew who that was.
"She's not going to downtown so what should I report?"
"Is that so?" she just nodded in silence. "Or maybe it's because she's going to the magical mountains so you have no intention of reporting this thing?" she said because the truth their power was void in the area protected by the Nymphs. Because Nymphs also known as Demigods are known children of Gods.
Witches and Warlocks like them have no match with their powers even though our entire abilities have been given by the Gods still our powers have its limits against them. This is why, we Witches and Warlocks avoids those Demi-Gods as possible.
"You know what, you're too nosy." She replied. "But anyway, how long will you hide from being a normal person even though you are a Witch, Sai?" she asked as she look at her.
"I have my own reasons, Alcina."
Alcina was the spy that King Harkan put for Siara and needs to report the things that happening to his daughter at downtown. And like Sai, she also came from the Cabot Tribe of the Witches and Warlocks, and she's one of the powerful Witches at the tribe just like Sai. Though the Cabot Tribe was already been long destroyed because of what happened from the past. Only few of them survive the catastrophe and decided to go on their own.
She sighs heavily. "We do all have our own reasons."
"Indeed." Sai replied. "Anyway, is there something going on that I don't know about?" she seriously asked.
"That… I couldn't explain."
"Is this about the alter history?"
Alcina looks up above. "I don't really know what the Gods want to happen but we can't help but let everyone know what really happened then. The reason why the elders wanted to alter the truth is to protect them till the end."
"Did they really manage to protect them or did it all get worse?" she answered meaningful and she knew what Sai talking about.
The next day…
For some inexplicable reason, I felt very nervous and scared after I received a message from Siara. Because of the content of the letter, I am sure they will talk seriously. So, I immediately went to the mountains to meet Siara.
As soon as I came, I immediately saw Siara waiting for me and I went straight to her.
"What happened?" I worriedly asked.
"We have a problem and I need you to know." She seriously stated.
"What is it?"
She takes a deep breath. "My father already knows about us."
I feel relieved after hearing it but then I feel unease as I look at her seriously face and I know there is more to what she wanted to say. "Tell me, what is it?"
"He knows who you really are. And he wants me to stop seeing you."
When I heard what she said, my worries were finally answered. "What will you do now?"
"I will not follow him." she seriously answered. "I will fight for you because I love you so much, Haimon. I will do anything just to protect you no matter what happens. I'll--"
I didn't finish what she was going to say and just hugged her tightly. From what she had just said, that was enough for me to fight her wholeheartedly even though I would face the elders in both clans.
Del Gazini's Residence
Uncle Norward looked at us quietly after we said what Siara and I had agreed on. But in the look he gives us, we can hardly read any reaction and the silence he gave us hardly to stand.
"Uncle?" I finally decided to speak up but then he takes a deep breath before he speaks.
"Your father will not simply agree with the decision you two have made."
"I know." Siara answered. "But I don't want to be away from Haimon anymore, so I hope you can help us. Please, I beg you."
Uncle Norward sighs heavily. "Alright, I will try to help you two."
I felt peace after hearing Uncle Norward's answer and that was enough to calm me down. "Thank you, Uncle." I said and firmly hold Siara's hand. "Really, thank you Uncle."
"I haven't done anything yet so don't thank me first. For now, you have to go home first Siara."
We both surprised from what he just said and Siara immediately disagreed.
"No! I don't want! Please, let me stay here with Haimon." She begged not even letting go of my hand.
"I understand how you feel but this is not yet the right time for you to be together. I still need to do what we have to do before you two be together. So please bear with me. So, Haimon, send her back for a while. And I promise you two that I will help you as much as I can."
We both look at each other and took as a while before we decided to agree with Uncle Norward's suggestion. So, I send Siara back to her home with a heavy heart and a worry thought. The same as what Siara feels, even if she stays quiet, I know she still wanted to protest but keep quiet. I just squeezed her hand to assure her.
