The day after the alien invasion of New York, the entire world came to a stark realization—they were not alone in the universe. Life forms beyond Earth existed, and like the aliens who attacked New York yesterday, others might come to invade in the future.

World leaders convened, discussing how to handle such situations moving forward. Amid these talks, a name began circulating: the "White Sorcerer." This title referred to the mysterious white-caped figure who commanded an army of the dead, like something out of legend, and helped the citizens of New York escape the alien invasion disaster.

His efforts were lauded for saving countless lives, but his image was shrouded in controversy. People questioned why he fought against the Avengers—the other team who also helped New York battle the Aliens. it was even more weird when Captain America and Tony Stark were on the Avenger team, both are famous and clearly not villains yet the White Sorcerer who fought against the Aliens also fought them, confusing the people.

Thought it was not their fault for their confusion but actually the Government.

The government-controlled media to make sure people don't view him as hero though they also deliberately omitted the truth about the nuke incident, choosing not to paint Michael as a villain either. They knew if they did, the White Sorcerer might expose evidence of the nuke, creating a scandal. Instead, they portrayed him as a neutral party—neither hero nor villain.

Michael, watching the news coverage, remained calm, but...

"This is absurd! How dare they!" Rose shouted angrily, glaring at the TV. "Michael risked his life to protect the citizens, and now these cartoons—the Avengers—are getting off scot-free and even getting more fame than my Son, when it was their fault to begin with!"

"Yes, Madam, this portrayal diminishes the young master's achievements," Mia agreed.

"Leave it. It's better this way," Michael said, his voice steady. Rose and Mia turned to him in disbelief.

"Why?" Rose asked, clearly upset that her son's efforts were not being properly acknowledged.

"I mean, I'm no hero. I'm not going to save the world or anything if another invasion happens elsewhere. The only reason I helped here was because you were here," he said with a shrug.

For a moment, Rose smiled fondly at him. But then, she walked over, pinched his ear, and twisted it.

"Your father would surely be furious if he heard you say that!" she said sternly.

"Mom, it hurts!" Michael protested, wincing in pain.

Rose didn't let go, adding, "Your father always helped the poor whenever he could, even without any special gifts. Yet you, with such power, are refusing to help anyone!"

Michael looked at her, confused. Just yesterday, she had been worried about what might happen to him if he got involved in such matters. Now, she was encouraging him to fight for others. He couldn't help but wonder what had changed.

"And I thought you were worried about me," Michael said, rubbing his sore ear. Rose gave him a smug smile and replied, "My baby can defeat gods, tech geniuses, spies, a monster like the Hulk, and even aliens. Why should I be worried about you?" Her smile radiated pride.

Mia nearby nodded in agreement as they looked at Michael.

"Well, whatever. Is breakfast ready?" he asked. Mia nodded, and a few maids brought over the dishes, serving him while the duo continued watching TV.

Michael, on the other hand, ate his fill, then stood up and headed to his room. Once inside, he sat down and examined the information on the artifact he got as reward for beating the Avengers.

[As you can see, the system promised the Crown of Sabbac, and you received it,] the system replied in its usual matter-of-fact manner. Michael's lips twitched in irritation.

"Haah," he sighed, rubbing his temple. "I should have just joined the Avengers," he muttered under his breath before glancing at the simple black crown in his hand.

"Hmm, it can store souls and grant me their powers, right?" he asked. The system confirmed with a notification.

[Correct.]

"So, any souls? And how many can it store?" he asked, seeking clarification.

The system promptly responded:

[This version of the Crown of Sabbac is an upgraded model. Unlike the original, which could store only five ancient evil souls, this one can store up to ten souls and allow the host to use their full power.]

Michael nodded, deep in thought, as he looked at the crown. "Interesting," he murmured, his mind already plotting how to utilize its potential.

"But system, this isn't even close to the power of Black Adam. How come the easy quest of joining the Avengers gives such a good reward, but this doesn't?" Michael asked, trying to squeeze out more benefits.

[Host would have had to sacrifice his self-respect if he had joined the Avengers. By choosing to fight against them, host maintained his dignity. Hence, this reward is not the slightest bit lower compared to the alternative,] the system replied matter-of-factly.

Michael fell silent for a moment, realizing the logic. Finally, he sighed. "Okay, you're the boss. But at least give me a chance to obtain a god's soul," he said.

The system remained silent for a moment before responding:

[Opportunity for such an acquisition requires host's active effort. Seek out powerful entities or beings and create the circumstances necessary for their souls to be claimed. A god's soul will not come without proper trials.]

"still gimme one chance at least, or just gimme a good quest that regard me a good Soul" Michael said as System replied.
