It had been four days since the weekend at Peter's house, and Nova had made solid progress on setting up his café. Things were slowly coming together—May had already agreed to become his cook, ensuring he wouldn't have to worry about food quality. For now, he planned to handle the cashier duties himself until he found someone trustworthy. The only position left to fill was that of a waiter.

To speed things up, he posted a part-time job listing on the school's online forum, expecting a few students to apply. Sure enough, requests came in, but one name in particular caught his eye.

Skye.

Nova paused, staring at the screen for a moment. Skye, huh? That was unexpected. Daisy Johnson, future Quake, an Inhuman with seismic powers, and eventually a top-tier S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Right now, though, she was just Skye—an independent, sharp-witted hacker trying to survive.

He knew her story well. She had dropped out of high school midway, never fitting into the system. Instead, she had thrown herself into hacking, becoming a skilled member of The Rising Tide, an underground group dedicated to exposing government secrets. What she didn't know yet was that her hacking antics had already put her on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar. If things followed the original timeline, Coulson and his team would pick her up soon.

So why was she applying for a simple café job? It didn't take much digging to find the answer. She was technically an orphan, struggling to make ends meet. Unlike in the original timeline, she hadn't yet joined The Rising Tide, which meant she wasn't currently under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s watchful eye. That gave him a rare opportunity—one that could be worth exploring.

Nova leaned back, considering his options. Hiring her could be… interesting. At this point, she was still searching for her past, unaware that she was actually the daughter of Calvin Zabo and Jiaying, an Inhuman leader. S.H.I.E.L.D. had buried her identity deep, but it was only a matter of time before the truth surfaced.

Maybe he could speed things along? After all, his mutant ability, Wish, was all about granting what people truly desired, and Skye's greatest wish was to find her parents. It wouldn't cost him much, but would that be the right move? He wasn't here to play fate's puppet master—at least, not all the time.

His thoughts drifted elsewhere, to the string of messages Harry Potter had been bombarding him with lately. Ever since Nova sent him those pictures—ones of Harry kissing Cho and Ginny—the wizard had been in a state of near panic. He had demanded an explanation, his messages jumping between disbelief, frustration, and sheer confusion.

And as if that wasn't enough, Harry had also informed him about something far more serious—an attack by Dementors. Nova remembered this incident, the powerplay between ministry and Dumbledore, using Harry as a pawn. Unlike in the original, this time Harry figured that dementors didn't just roam freely outside Azkaban unless something—or someone—was pulling the strings. It didn't take a genius to figure out that the Ministry, or a death Eater spy in the ministry did it.

Anyway he got the date to he trial and the order just picked him up. Him reaching Grimould or whatever it's called, will be beneficial for him, as order some people that can be very good to trade with for example the tonks girl, she had a tragic end with not-so-good love life. Besides she can change her appearance at will as she is metamorphmagus.

Then their is Hermione Granger. Nova wants her to be his trade partner not because she have more knowledge than Harry, but because of her talent in research and her hard work. He have some plans in future in which she can be a massive help.

Besides this we have made little progress in the serum. But it's just a little as we were busy helping Harry deal with funeral and all arrangements. Altough Harry Hates his father, its still important for him. So..

Before he could dwell on it further, a sudden shake on his shoulder jolted him back to reality.

"Hey, Nova! You still here?"

Peter's voice pulled him from his thoughts. Nova blinked, refocusing on his surroundings.

The school cafeteria was packed as usual, the air thick with the scent of food, lively chatter, and the occasional burst of laughter. Students clustered in their usual groups, discussing everything from schoolwork to training, but today, the dominant topic of conversation was prom.

Nova shook his head slightly and looked at Peter.

"You know," Peter muttered, poking at his untouched food, "when we made this deal, it seemed like a fun idea. Now, it just feels like a public execution."

Harry smirked, leaning back in his chair. "Come on, Parker. No backing out now."

Ned adjusted his glasses, his expression caught between excitement and dread. "At least if we crash and burn, we do it together."

Nova, ever the confident one, rolled his eyes. "You guys act like we're about to fight Voldermort. It's just promposals. No big deal."

Peter groaned. "Easy for you to say. You're first."

Nova smirked. "Exactly. Time to set the gold standard."

----

Across the cafeteria, Gwen Stacy sat at a table with Michelle Jones (MJ's half-blood sister), Mary Jane Watson, and Felicia Hardy. MJ and Felicia, very much a couple, were leaning against each other casually, while Michelle scrolled through her phone, occasionally chuckling at memes. Gwen, however, was idly stirring her drink—until she caught sight of Nova striding toward her.

Her heart skipped a beat.

"Uh-oh," MJ muttered, nudging Felicia. "Incoming."

Felicia smirked. "This should be entertaining."

Michelle barely glanced up but still raised an eyebrow.

Nova stopped right in front of Gwen, took a deep breath, then flashed his signature smirk.

"Gwen Stacy."

Gwen arched an eyebrow, pretending to be unimpressed, though her fingers tightened slightly around her drink. "Nova. What brings you here in the middle of lunch?"

Nova dramatically placed a hand over his heart. "Only the most important mission of my life."

The cafeteria quieted as people turned to watch.

"Oh, this is going to be good."

Then, to everyone's surprise, Nova dropped to one knee in front of Gwen's chair, the thud of his knee against the tile echoing through the room.

Gasps rippled through the cafeteria.

"No way, he's actually doing this."

"Damn, this guy has confidence."

Nova took a deep breath, then projected his voice for the entire room to hear.

"Gwen Stacy. From the moment I met you, I knew you were something special. Smart, fierce, beautiful—someone who could outshine the stars if they even dared to compete with you."

Gwen's face turned pink, but she quickly hid it behind an exasperated eye roll. "Nova…"

Nova grinned. "Now, I could have asked you somewhere private, but where's the fun in that? I want everyone to know that I, Nova, am formally requesting you to be my date to prom."

The cafeteria exploded.

"Damn, he really went for it!"

"That's smooth as hell."

MJ burst out laughing, while Felicia clapped slowly in amusement. Michelle, still not looking up from her phone, muttered, "Ten out of ten for theatrics."

Gwen, completely red now, narrowed her eyes. "You know, you're way too cocky for your own good."

Nova smirked. "So, is that a yes?"

Gwen sighed dramatically before a small smile slipped through. "Yeah, fine. I'll go to prom with you, you overdramatic idiot."

The cafeteria erupted into cheers.

Nova stood, grinning triumphantly. "I'll take that as a compliment."

As he strutted back to his table, Peter shook his head. "You are insufferable."

Harry chuckled. "Your turn, Parker. Try not to choke."

-----

The cafeteria was buzzing with conversation, but the main topic of discussion was Nova's recent promposal to Gwen Stacy. Students were still reacting to the moment, exchanging comments between bites of their lunch.

"I still can't believe Nova just dropped to one knee and asked Gwen to prom like that," one student whispered, shaking their head in disbelief.

"Yeah, no big speech, no crazy setup—just straight-up asked her in front of everyone," another replied, clearly still processing what had happened.

"Well, it worked. She said yes," someone else pointed out.

A few tables over, more students were speculating about what this meant for other promposals. "Man, if that's the standard now, some guys are in trouble."

"Nah, not everyone has to do it like that. I mean, Nova's Nova, y'know?"

"Still, makes you wonder who's next."

Right on cue, Peter Parker stood up.

At the table where Gwen, MJ, Michelle, and Felicia were sitting, the shift in movement didn't go unnoticed. Felicia's lips curled into an amused smirk as she immediately caught on. "Oh no," she muttered, clearly entertained. "He's about to do something stupid."

MJ, already suspicious, watched as Peter walked toward Michelle. Her expression turned from mild curiosity to outright disbelief. "Wait… is he actually—"

Before anyone could finish their thoughts, Peter stopped in front of Michelle's seat. The cafeteria, already noisy, didn't exactly go silent, but there was a noticeable shift. A few conversations slowed, students nearby started paying attention, and the ones who had just been discussing Nova's proposal turned their heads, nudging each other excitedly.

Michelle looked up at him, unimpressed as always. "You need something, Parker?"

Peter took a deep breath, rubbed the back of his neck, and shrugged casually. "Yeah. You, at prom with me."

Michelle blinked. MJ nearly choked on her drink. Gwen bit her lip, trying not to smile, while Felicia, on the other hand, outright laughed.

A ripple of hushed whispers spread through the nearby tables. "Wait, is Parker actually asking Michelle out?" someone whispered.

"Damn, first Nova and Gwen, now Peter and Michelle? What's in the water today?"

"If she says no, this is gonna be brutal."

"Nah, I kinda respect the confidence."

Michelle, still eyeing Peter, raised an eyebrow. "That's it?"

Peter nodded. "Yep. No big speech, no grand gestures. Just figured I'd ask."

She studied him for a moment, as if weighing her options, before leaning back in her seat with a small smirk. "Fine. But you're paying for everything."

Peter let out a breath of relief, a grin forming on his face. "Deal."

Felicia clapped her hands together, her grin widening. "Wow, Parker, that was smooth. Almost unrecognizably smooth."

MJ, still processing, groaned as she put a hand over her face. "First Nova and Gwen, and now my ex and my sister? What is happening today?"

Gwen simply smiled, glancing over at Nova. "Well, at least they kept it simple."

Peter, now aware of all the eyes on him, rubbed the back of his neck again. "Uh… so do I sit back down now, or—"

Michelle rolled her eyes. "Yeah, Parker. Go finish your lunch before I change my mind."

As Peter sat back down, the cafeteria exploded into chatter. Some students laughed, others clapped, and a few still couldn't believe what they had just witnessed.

"Well, that was unexpected."

"Kinda cool, though. Parker just went for it."

"Man, prom's gonna be wild."

And just like that, Midtown High had one more promposal to talk about.
