Nova stood at the door of Peter's house, lost in thought as he reflected on his day.

Since he had stayed up late the previous night due to a particularly exciting trade, he ended up sleeping in. After finally dragging himself out of bed and going through his morning routine, he spent a few hours at his café, inspecting the operations and making notes about necessary changes.

Later, he had called May to inform her about his decision to drop out of school and his offer for her to become the café's cook. She had accepted happily—a little too happily—before turning the tables and teasing him.

"Oh? You want me to work under you now?" she had said, her voice dripping with amusement. "What if I decide to cook wearing just an apron? Or better yet, a maid outfit? Would that boost business?"

That cheeky minx had caught him off guard, and for a moment, he had felt the stirring of something dangerous. Fortunately, she had been on her way to work at the time, or else he might have made her help him release the strength of a human-Four Arms hybrid.

Hybrid? …Huh. That was a weird thought. Meh, didn't matter.

Shaking himself out of his thoughts, Nova knocked on the door. Moments later, it swung open, revealing a grinning Harry Osborn.

"Finally! Took you long enough," Harry said, stepping aside.

Nova raised a brow as he walked in. "Took me long enough for what?"

Harry smirked. "You'll see."

Inside the living room, Peter Parker and Ned Leeds were sprawled across the couch, surrounded by a battlefield of snacks—popcorn, chips, soda cans, and even a few leftover pizza slices. The coffee table was a disaster zone, but it was a glorious one.

Peter grinned as Nova stepped in. "Hey, you made it! Just in time."

Nova looked at them suspiciously. "Okay, what's going on? You guys forming a secret superhero team without me?"

Ned smirked and held up a Blu-ray case like it was the ultimate artifact of power. "Nope. We're doing something better." He wiggled the case. "Harry Potter marathon. All eight movies. No breaks."

Nova blinked. I literally just made a trade with the real Harry Potter last night. These guys would lose their minds if they knew. Actually… should he film them and send the reaction to Harry? Hmm, good idea. But which clip should he send? Harry kissing Cho? Ginny? Decisions, decisions.

Shaking his head, he focused back on his friends. "You guys are seriously going to sit here and watch almost twenty hours of wizards running around with sticks?"

"Excuse you," Peter said, looking mock-offended. "They're wands."

Harry grabbed a handful of popcorn and chucked it at Nova. "And yes, we are doing this. The magic demands it."

Ned nodded sagely. "It's a rite of passage."

Nova sighed in amusement. "You nerds are unbelievable." But as he looked at their eager faces—and the ridiculous amount of snacks—it was hard to say no. With a dramatic sigh, he grabbed a soda and plopped down on the couch. "Alright, fine. But if I get bored, I'm making you all watch something I pick next time."

Peter grinned. "Deal."

Just as they started the movie, Ned's eyes flicked to Nova's wrist, and he pointed. "Hey, Nova! New watch?"

Nova followed his gaze and realized that his Omnitrix had automatically disguised itself as a Longines HydroConquest, a premium diver's watch with a stainless steel case and a deep blue dial. Smooth. But it's a disguise for the real thing.. His Omnitrix.

He smirked and shrugged. "Yeah, something like that."

Harry leaned in. "Huh. Looks nice. Didn't take you for the fancy watch type, though."

"Hey, good taste isn't a crime," Nova said, casually rolling his wrist. "Besides, gotta keep things stylish."

Peter raised a brow but let it go. "Alright, alright, enough about watches. The movie's rolling."

As the marathon continued, the jokes, debates, and reenactments got more ridiculous. Somewhere in Chamber of Secrets, when Ron and Hermione had another one of their moments, Nova decided to stir things up.

"So, Harry," he drawled, smirking at Osborn. "You and Liz still just friends?"

Harry, who had been drinking soda, choked slightly before glaring. "Dude, what?"

"Oh, c'mon," Peter grinned. "You've been way too helpful lately. You offered to tutor her, you walked her home after that school event…"

Ned wiggled his eyebrows. "Bro, you literally spent an hour helping her with a project that should've taken fifteen minutes. And it wasn't even yours."

Harry groaned, rubbing his face. "You guys suck."

Nova smirked. "Hey, I'm just saying—when's the big date?"

Before Harry could retaliate, Peter turned to Ned. "Speaking of which, what about you, Leeds? I saw you getting all giggly with Betty."

Ned's eyes widened. "I was not giggling!"

Peter smirked. "Uh-huh. Right. And she just happened to lean on your shoulder 'cause she was tired?"

"It was a long day! She was tired! That's all!" Ned spluttered.

Nova grinned. "Right, right. And next you'll be saying she just accidentally gave you her number."

Ned huffed. "I hate you guys."

"Oh, don't worry," Peter said smugly. "You're not the only one getting roasted." He turned to Nova. "So, how's Gwen?"

Nova raised a brow. "She's fine? Why?"

Peter smirked. "Oh, I dunno. Maybe because she definitely has a crush on you?"

Harry grinned. "She totally does."

Ned, finally recovering, added, "Dude, the way she looks at you? She hangs onto every word you say."

Nova snorted. "That's just because I say interesting stuff."

"Uh-huh," Peter said, unimpressed. "Sure. Nothing to do with how she always asks for your help when she's got like twenty other options."

"Or how she always ends up sitting next to you," Ned chimed in.

Nova just smirked. "Well, what can I say? I'm charming."

Harry rolled his eyes. "Oh, shut up."

Nova smirked slightly, thinking about how Ghost Spider—the badass vigilante—had a crush on him. Who would've thought? Especially considering how different she had been back then.

A few years ago, after her mother's death, Gwen had gone through a rebellious phase. She wasn't completely out of control, but she had fallen in with the wrong crowd. Smoking, skipping school occasionally, and hanging around with people who thrived on trouble—it was her way of dealing with grief.

And damn, she had looked like a total badass goth bitch.

She'd cut her blonde hair into a messy, uneven boy cut, had a few piercings—just enough to add to the tough-girl aesthetic without going overboard—and even had a tattoo on her tummy near her left hips. A black rose with thorns sprawled elegantly across her back, its petals dark and mysterious, while the sharp thorns coiled around it.

Then came that night.

After drinking way too much thanks to her so-called "friends," she had been walking home alone when two drunk guys dragged her into an alley.

They tore her jacket, ripped her shirt, and were this close to tear her bra and panties.

But then he arrived, who was on his late night stroll.

Nova didn't hesitate, he first called police and then he grabbed a nearby steel pipe. A single brutal CRACK to the head took down the first guy. The second barely had time to react before Nova slammed him into the wall with enough force to make him rethink his life choices.

By the time the cops arrived, Gwen was shaken but safe. She pressed charges, cut off those toxic people, and turned her life around. But she is still sometimes having that gothic look.

Now? She was Ghost Spider. Strong. Confident. A hero.

But no matter how much she had changed, one thing remained—Gwen Stacy had a crush on the guy who once saved her.

Nova chuckled to himself. Yeah, that's pretty damn amusing.

----

By the time they reached Goblet of Fire, the excitement had mellowed, exhaustion setting in. Nova checked his watch—the time was creeping toward four in the morning.

Harry stretched. "Alright, so… are we actually doing all eight movies, or are we just saying we are?"

Peter, rubbing his eyes, sighed. "I mean, we could power through…"

Ned, half-asleep, waved a hand. "Nah, man, I'm fading. Let's pause at Order of the Phoenix and finish tomorrow."

Nova smirked. "What, the mighty Harry Potter fans can't handle a full marathon?"

Harry groaned. "Dude, it's four AM."

Nova checked his watch and grinned. "Lightweights."

Peter tossed a pillow at him. "Shut up."

With that, they decided to crash for the night, still hyped about finishing the marathon the next day. As they started settling in, Nova leaned back, staring at the ceiling.

Despite how crazy his life had become, nights like these—just hanging out with friends, teasing each other, and forgetting about everything else—were the moments he wanted to hold onto.

Tomorrow? Tomorrow would be another adventure.
