Chapter 9: marvel 9
Thor stood before Odin, his shoulders still squared, but his defiance wavering under the weight of his father's gaze. The vast throne room of Asgard, usually a symbol of strength, now felt stifling.
"You are a vain, greedy, cruel boy!" Odin's voice thundered through the hall, his face taut with disappointment.
"And you are an old man and a fool!" Thor shot back, his voice laced with frustration.
Odin's eyes darkened with both hurt and anger. Silence followed for a moment, thick and heavy.
"Yes," Odin said quietly, as if the admission pained him. "I was a fool... to think you were ready."
Thor's expression flickered. He opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, Odin raised his hand, the golden spear Gungnir gleaming in the light.
"Thor Odinson," Odin's voice rang out, every word deliberate, "you have disobeyed the express command of your king. You have acted with arrogance and pride. You are not worthy of the realm... of your title... or of the powers you have been given."
Thor's eyes widened in shock. "Father—"
Odin, his face stony and determined, cut him off. "I, Odin All-Father, cast you out!" His voice cracked the air like lightning.
With a wave of his hand, Thor's armor began to disintegrate, piece by piece. His godly strength seemed to drain away from his body, and he stumbled. Odin grasped Mjölnir, the mighty hammer, and with a final look of sorrow, he whispered a powerful enchantment:
"Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor."
Then, with a flick of his wrist, he hurled the hammer into the Bifrost. A swirl of light and energy surrounded Thor as he was dragged into its grasp, the ground vanishing from under him. Helpless, he fell, his father's distant figure watching him disappear from Asgard's golden halls.
Odin turned away, his heart heavy with the burden of what he had done.

At the same time.
Max who was training usually with his swordsmanship and magic, suddenly paused as Yue chimed in.
[New Quest]
[Thor has arrived on earth, banished by All-father, Odin]
[Objective : Defeat Destroyer ]
[ Reward : Class Advancement, 1,000 UP ]
"Finally," Max mumbled to himself as he saw the rewards. After an entire year, he had finally maxed out his level at Level 50. To surpass this level, he needed to advance his class, but after such a long time, there had been no sign of it. Now, it was finally here.
"Hmm, defeat Destroyer? Well, that shouldn't be difficult," Max muttered to himself as he looked over at another guy in his base.
"Pete, how's it going?" he asked. Max needed a tech guy, and the only available one was Peter Parker, their current tech consultant. Well, at least until Peter had his own superpower. Right now, they were a team of four: Max, Lumia, Rize, and Peter Parker.
There were even times when Peter asked if Rize could make him a vampire so that he could be a superhero. To stop him from going through with it, Max simply summoned(made up) a list of future superheroes in their team, and Peter Parker was on it. He didn't clarify with what powers, but he assured Peter they weren't vampire-related. So now, Peter was patiently waiting for his destined day, which would come in just a few months.
Not only was Peter their tech guy, but he was also their tailor. He had made Hero Suits for each of them, and they were displayed in cases along the wall. There was even space for six more suits, as according to Max's superhero list, their team would eventually grow to a total of ten, though in reality he simply left space for any potential recruit.
Unbeknownst to Peter, at least three of his friends would be part of this superhero team.
"Everything's fine. Our system will come online by tomorrow," Peter responded as Max nodded. "Can you book a ticket for me?" Max asked.
"Yeah, sure. To where?" Peter asked.
"To Mexico," Max replied as he got ready to meet Thor, the Lord of Thunder.
"Sure, but what are you going to do there?" Peter nodded as he asked.
"Hmm, just going to meet Thor," Max shrugged.
"Thor? As in the Asgardian Thor?" Peter asked with a laugh.
"Yes, the same one," Max replied, watching Peter's face for a reaction.
"Really?" Peter asked again. If it had been before, he might not have believed it, but after seeing Max and Lumia's powers and meeting a real vampire, his worldview had completely flipped upside down.
"Hmm, wanna come along?" Max asked, suddenly remembering how, in Ultimate Spider-Man, Peter had once lifted Thor's hammer and even used his powers.
"Can I?" Peter asked, excitedly curious.
"Yeah, just book the tickets, and we're good to go," Max laughed and added, as Peter nodded enthusiastically.
"But... will there be a fight? Won't I just become a burden to you?" Peter asked with a wary smile, his finger hovering mid-air, just one click away from booking the ticket.
"Well, you have Riler for your safety, right?" Max said as he pointed, and shadows began to shift around him.
Peter looked at the shadows, smiling, as a large creature emerged from them. It was a pitch-black dog with icy fur, its only visible features being pure white eyes. As it growled, revealing a mouth full of sharp fangs, Peter patted its head and nodded. "Yes, I do have Riler for protection," Peter said as he finalized the booking.
Riler was actually a shadow creature that Max had summoned one day, suing Summon Shadow skill of his. From that moment on, he had assigned it to Peter for protection.
Using Shadow summon he can summon variety of creatures but only Riler showed intelligence so he formed a pact with him that allow him to stay in this world as long as he is not killed.
