Chapter 67: Marvel 67
Even Max and the others looked at World speechlessly, wondering where his confidence came from as he made his bold remarks. But he didn't mind as he continued punching the Celestial Dragon like an punching bag.
"This looks fun," Bullet chuckled, cracking his knuckles as he grabbed another Celestial Dragon.
Seeing this, Leo and Patrick each picked one up as well. "Just... don't kill them," Max muttered, his lips twitching, though he didn't stop them.
"You can give it a try too," Max said to Gwen, who was curiously eyeing the Celestial Dragons, many of whom had already fainted in terror.
Gwen nodded and silently grabbed one of them—a female Celestial Dragon—and hung her upside down, giving her a light kick. "You bastard," Gwen hissed, her voice filled with anger. "I saw you trampling on a little kid, saying you couldn't even step on 'dirty ground.' Now, what will you do?"
With that, Gwen pressed her foot down on the woman's head, her voice sharp with disgust.
Even Max and the others looked at Gwen, surprised by her intensity as she vented her anger on the Celestial Dragon. The female noble's face turned pale, her previous arrogance now stripped away as she dangled upside down, utterly helpless.
Gwen's eyes flashed with disgust. "All that pride, and yet here you are, nothing but a coward," she hissed. She then released her grip, letting the noblewoman fall to the ground in a heap. The other Celestial Dragons watched, trembling as they saw their power and privilege mean nothing in the face of Max and his crew's wrath.
Bullet yawned as he looked at the Celestial dragon fell unconscious just after one punch of his, cracking his knuckles. "You know, I'd say we're giving them a taste of reality, but I doubt they'll ever understand. People like this… they think they're untouchable."
Leo chimed in with a dark chuckle, watching the nobles squirm. "Let's see how they fare when they're no longer above everyone else." He gave one of the Celestial Dragons a hard shove, causing him to stumble and fall, eyes wide with terror.
Max, watching with crossed arms, couldn't help but smirk. "Consider this… a realignment of power." He turned to his crew. "Make sure they're secured. We'll take them to the New World and let everyone see what happens when the so-called 'untouchable' are forced to face consequences."
One of the younger Celestial Dragons finally broke down, pleading, "Please… spare us! We're just gods , it is what we meant to be! "
Max couldn't hide his disappointment as the Celestial Dragons clung to their delusions. "You truly think yourselves gods, don't you?" he muttered, releasing a burst of Conqueror's Haki. The air crackled, and the arrogant nobles collapsed, fainting instantly.
"Pathetic," Patrick sneered, glancing at the unconscious figures sprawled across the deck. "I expected more from the so-called 'elite' of the world."
Max smirked at his crewmate's disgust. "Don't worry," he replied, his voice low. "Their time is coming soon enough. For now, they're tools, nothing more."
The crew understood his plan; their mission was clear. For the Celestial Dragons, this journey was a one-way trip. They'd serve their purpose, and when Max was ready to leave this world, they'd be left behind as a final message—a reminder to everyone of the consequences of unchecked power.
With his crew handling the captives, Max turned his gaze toward the open sea. This was only the beginning, a glimpse of the storm he intended to unleash.
As the massive Marine fleet approached Sabaody Archipelago, tension buzzed through the air. Civilians and pirates alike gathered to witness the spectacle, excitement and fear mingling as they anticipated what was to come. News had spread fast, and even the infamous Morgans had caught wind of the situation. Broadcasting the event live, he defied all attempts by the World Government to silence him, cutting off their calls and sending a clear message to his audience worldwide.
The Five Elders, livid over Morgans' brazen defiance, ordered a relentless hunt for him, vowing to capture the news tycoon who had become a thorn in their side. But Morgans, unfazed, continued his broadcast from a secret location. His hidden agents, specialized messenger birds, and secure networks kept the stream active, showing the entire world the might of the Marine forces assembling against Max, the Night Monarch, and his crew.
On the ships, Marine officers looked grim, steeling themselves for the showdown ahead. High-ranking officials exchanged wary glances, realizing that their opponent had already managed to capture three admirals, including the infamously powerful Akainu. No one was quite sure what to expect from Max, but they knew one thing for certain—this confrontation would go down in history.
Back at the auction house, Max watched the broadcast, a grin stretching across his face. His enemies were gathering, and he was ready for them.
With a massive fleet of Marine ships assembled and every available Warlord called to join, the sea outside Sabaody Archipelago was teeming with forces, a testament to the desperation and determination of the World Government. Even the Marines from the New World had been summoned, their numbers and firepower vast, creating an intimidating sight.
Among the Marine ranks, Yulia "Silver Queen" and Bucky "Crimson Storm" stood at the forefront, their recent rise to Vice Admiral status evident in their confident presence and powerful reputations. The tension in the air was palpable as the Marines prepared for a clash unlike any other, aware of the stakes involved.
Meanwhile, Morgans, unfazed by the threats from the World Government, continued broadcasting the entire event to the world. His loyal spy network, birds, and hidden agents ensured the feed reached every corner, defying all efforts to silence him.
Amid the gathering forces, a ship bearing the unmistakable emblem of the World Government appeared on the horizon. The tension thickened as those observing realized this ship carried a presence as powerful as the assembled Marines, if not more so.
Standing on the deck were members of the CP-0, the Cipher Pol's elite agents, known for their brutal efficiency and loyalty directly to the Celestial Dragons. Beside them were the fearsome God's Knights, a formidable faction representing the pinnacle of World Government authority. Their stern, masked faces showed no fear, only resolute focus on their objective: reclaiming the captured Celestial Dragons and putting an end to Max's bold defiance.
