Marvel : I'm in Westview Town

Chapter 71: Chapter 71 : From Multiverse

---

BOOM!

At that moment—

The dim underground sanctum was bathed in an eerie crimson glow. Ancient incantations swirled within the massive central spell circle, their power resembling a violent storm brewing overhead.

A sudden gust howled through the space, lifting dust into the air, shrouding the chamber in a thick mist.

The formation trembled. Energy burst forth like a surging tide, warping the very fabric of space with an unnatural distortion.

BZZT!

A sharp, chaotic hum filled the air.

"This isn't good… I'm losing control!"

At the center of the magic circle, Master Finn's expression darkened.

The Amnesia Spell, once nearing completion, had been disrupted. The disturbance came from none other than Sterling, whose reckless interference had thrown the entire ritual into disarray.

Worse yet, the sudden strike of a blade had severed crucial magical inscriptions, destabilizing the delicate balance of the spell.

Combined with Finn's own rising emotions, the fragile incantation wavered. Control was slipping—fast.

"Damn it…"

Sterling, the elder sorcerer, stood frozen, his eyes widening in horror as he realized the gravity of his mistake.

"Sterling, are you insane?!"

Stephen Strange regained his composure, standing firm against the raging energy. He raised his right hand, conjuring a Seraphim Shield—a radiant, light-red barrier—to resist the violent surge.

His voice thundered over the chaos:

"The Amnesia Spell is unstable! The caster is compromised! Do you have any idea what that means?!"

Sterling remained silent, his gaze locked on the scene before him.

"Stephen… it's already too late."

Beside him, Wong's face was grim as he watched the disaster unfold.

At the heart of the sanctum, energy from the very Fabric of the Universe poured into the out-of-control spell, fusing with the incantations spiraling in the air.

The mantra above Finn's head grew massive, its structure expanding like a dying star on the verge of collapse.

"No… no, no, no!"

Finn, normally composed, cursed under his breath.

He could feel it—the raw power between his palms swelling, pulsing, writhing with unrestrained force. The energy intensified, a terrifying aura radiating from its core.

And then—

BOOM!

The spell shattered.

The sacred incantations reached a critical threshold and tore apart, unleashing a shockwave of magical force.

A devastating gust howled through the underground chamber, shaking the very foundation. Stones and debris flew in all directions, and the ancient walls groaned under the strain, with chunks of the structure breaking away.

The explosion's impact struck Sterling first, sending the elder sorcerer hurtling through the air like a ragdoll.

"Winds of Watoomb!"

Acting fast, Stephen Strange thrust his hands forward, conjuring a powerful current of wind. The air around him momentarily stilled, forming a controlled vortex.

Sterling's falling body was caught mid-air, gently descending onto solid ground instead of crashing violently.

The chaotic tempest settled.

The dust that had choked the room slowly began to disperse. The floating incantations—once chaotic—faded from existence, seeping into the walls as if they had never been there at all.

"Hah…"

Wong exhaled deeply, lowering his glowing hands as he dispelled his shield. He stepped forward, offering a hand to Sterling, who was sprawled on the ground.

"It looks like nothing… unusual happened."

Sterling coughed, his chest rising and falling in exhaustion. He barely processed Wong's words, his mind lost in a daze.

It wasn't until the robed figure at the center of the room finally spoke that the silence was broken—his voice low and edged with restrained fury.

"If reality was altered… mortal eyes wouldn't be able to see it."

The figure—Finn—stood tall, his piercing gaze locked onto the three sorcerers before him.

Though the Amnesia Spell had been cast, and the world had forgotten the presence of a certain individual, its uncontrolled burst had undoubtedly tampered with reality itself.

And now, not even Finn knew what had been changed.

"Master , we are fully aware of—"

"Wait…"

Stephen's eyes narrowed as realization dawned upon him.

This man—this stranger—was an intruder.

In an instant, he raised both hands, summoning the golden Mandala Restraints, pale yellow rings of light spinning into existence around his wrists. His voice turned firm:

"You broke into Kamar-Taj… You cast a spell that altered reality… That makes you an enemy."

Finn's expression darkened, his patience wearing thin.

"That's not the problem right now. If you're smart, you'll check whether reality itself has been rewritten."

He was irritated. His perfect spell—one he had meticulously crafted—had been disrupted by a reckless interruption.

Yet, the job was done.

No one in the world remembered the Mysterio now.

No one… except himself.

He had made sure of it.

Had he allowed himself to forget, he wouldn't even remember why he came here in the first place.

Now, any consequences of reality's shift were for Kamar-Taj's masters to handle. After all, they had been safeguarding these halls for millennia.

But instead of checking for anomalies, the three sorcerers before him remained fixated on him.

"I don't know what you changed with that spell, but trespassers in this sacred place are considered enemies."

Stephen's frown deepened. He couldn't shake the eerie sensation clawing at his mind—like he had forgotten something critical.

But no matter how hard he tried to grasp it, the memory remained elusive.

The one thing he did remember, however, was that this man had infiltrated the sanctum… and tampered with the natural order.

"Stephen, enough talk. This guy could be a from Nightmare."

Sterling—finally regaining his strength—stood tall. His body flickered with golden light, his presence radiating renewed power.

To him, there was only one course of action.

Anyone who invaded Kamar-Taj… was an enemy.

No exceptions.

BOOM!

With a thunderous step, Sterling lunged forward. His entire form became a streak of radiant gold, a divine comet streaking toward Finn.

The ground beneath him cracked apart as he moved.

Within seconds, he was upon Finn, wielding the Sword of the Vishanti, a blade forged of pure eldritch power. It slashed downward, crackling with celestial force.

"Old man…"

Finn sighed.

If they wanted to fight, so be it.

Without hesitation, he raised his left hand—sigils burned bright across his palm, forming an ethereal gauntlet.

With casual ease, he caught the descending blade.

The moment his fingers clenched, the sacred sword—meant to cut through the strongest of barriers—shattered into fragments.

"Impossible!"

Sterling's breath hitched.

The Sword of the Vishanti was not indestructible, but its mystical resilience far surpassed earthly metals.

And yet, this stranger had crushed it with raw force alone.

WHOOSH!

Before he could react—

"KNEEL."

Finn's voice boomed with magical force.

With a single, rune-infused punch, the very air trembled—

And Sterling was sent flying.

....

---

When he was in a trance, Finn suddenly shouted angrily and swung his fist. With his large hand, now empowered by mystical runes, a cyclone surged the moment he activated it.

He struck Master Sterling—a senior sorcerer of Kamar-Taj—directly in the chest. No matter how quickly Sterling reacted, even forming a protective magic shield to block the attack, it was futile.

He was sent crashing into the ground, the floor beneath him shattering instantly. A powerful gust of wind stirred up dust and mist, obscuring the underground hall as it trembled violently.

"Master Sterling!"

Both Stephen Strange and Wong were jolted awake by the piercing force of the wind. They immediately recognized that the strength of this intruder far exceeded their expectations.

The two exchanged a glance and launched a simultaneous counterattack.

Stephen extended his hand, summoning a crackling bolt of bright purple lightning.

BOOM!

Terrifying thunder roared as the lightning strike exploded in Finn's direction. The impact sent shockwaves throughout the underground hall, causing the swirling mist and dust to spiral into a vortex.

However, as the dust settled, Finn was gone.

"Where did he go?"

Stephen's gaze sharpened as he quickly scanned the room. His instincts kicked in, and he suddenly turned around, summoning the Sword of Vishanti and swinging it without hesitation.

CLANG!

Finn, who had been in front of them just moments ago, had somehow appeared behind them. He slashed with a massive blade in his left hand, colliding with Stephen's sword.

A fierce gust erupted from the impact.

HISS!

Stephen's arm went numb from the sheer force of the clash.

Finn didn't give him a chance to recover. He raised his weapon and unleashed another strike.

Stephen barely managed to parry, but Finn's relentless onslaught continued. Every slash was precise, elusive, and swift.

Struggling to keep up, Stephen was both alarmed and impressed—Finn's swordsmanship and sheer strength were beyond what any sorcerer should possess!

WHOOSH!

"It seems like Kamar-Taj's swordplay is a bit... lacking."

Finn pressed his attack, taunting Stephen with a smirk.

Stephen, who had always prided himself on his skill, gritted his teeth in frustration. But no matter how much he wanted to counterattack, Finn's overwhelming speed and power left him constantly on the defensive.

BOOM!

A sudden surge of bright purple energy struck the ground between them, forcing them apart. The air crackled with electricity.

"Hey, remember—we're supposed to be sorcerers!"

It was Wong. He stood firmly, lightning still crackling in his left hand.

"Wong, I thought you had passed out from fear. Took you long enough to step in."

Stephen took the opportunity to back away, panting slightly.

"I thought you had it under control."

Wong stepped beside him, conjuring the Shield of the Seraphim.

"Clearly, you overestimated Doctor Strange," Finn remarked with amusement. "Let the Sorcerer Supreme face me instead."

Finn's relaxed demeanor only made Stephen more irritated.

"Enough talk. I'll trap him!"

Stung by Finn's words, Stephen's expression darkened. Raising his hands, he channeled powerful crimson energy.

Suddenly, an enormous wave of Scarlet Bands of Cyttorak surged forward, attempting to bind Finn in place.

"Bolts of Balthakk!"

Wong didn't hesitate, unleashing another powerful arcane lightning attack.

However, Finn remained unfazed. A magic wand materialized in his hand, and he calmly spoke:

"Expelliarmus!"

WHOOSH!

A dazzling red light shot from his wand, colliding directly with the incoming scarlet wave. In an instant, the binding spell collapsed, vanishing into nothingness!

But the effect didn't stop there.

The residual energy traveled through the air and struck Stephen's hands.

His mystic energy dissipated in an instant!

"What?! What just happened?!"

Stephen stared at his trembling hands, momentarily frozen in disbelief.

He couldn't feel any magic flowing through him.

"Stephen, are you kidding me?!"

Wong's voice was filled with urgency. But before he could process what happened, a second burst of red light struck his hands as well.

The purple energy he had gathered dispersed at an alarming rate.

"He... he removed all of our magic..."

Stephen's eyes widened as the realization sank in. His pupils trembled.

He had never encountered a spell that could completely erase someone's magic.

"The Disarming Charm actually worked."

Finn twirled his wand, looking mildly surprised himself.

It was his first time using the spell on a sorcerer.

The spell originated from Harry Potter's universe, designed to disarm an opponent by knocking away their weapon or any held object.

But after modifying it with arcane magic, Finn had turned it into something far more dangerous—capable of stripping away an opponent's accumulated mystical energy, causing it to dissipate into nothingness.

A terrifyingly broken ability.

"Who... are you?"

Stephen's expression turned serious.

Even though he hadn't used the Mirror Dimension or his most powerful spells against Finn, he had already realized just how vast the power gap between them was.

A magician of this level could be counted on one hand across the entire planet.

And yet, such a powerful sorcerer had broken into the Sanctum Sanctorum to steal forbidden magic?

"You'll find out when you defeat me."

Finn glanced at Stephen, a hint of disappointment flashing across his face. Ever since the Ancient One had passed, Kamar-Taj's influence had weakened significantly.

Many dimensional entities were already starting to make moves.

Compared to the Ancient One, Stephen and Wong still had a long way to go.

Still, Finn hoped Doctor Strange would continue growing stronger.

After all, if a powerful interdimensional entity invaded Earth, someone had to handle the dirty work.

"Don't worry. I'll catch you sooner or later."

Stephen didn't attack again. He already knew that if Finn had truly wanted them dead, they would've been long gone by now.

"Whatever. I should leave before it gets too late."

Finn checked his watch.

Dawn was only a few hours away.

If the witch he lived with woke up in the middle of the night and found him missing—or worse, saw his body without a soul—it would only lead to more problems.

As he turned to leave, he casually added:

"You two should check outside for any reality distortions. You won't notice them with the naked eye."

With that, his figure faded into transparency, blending seamlessly with the shadows.

"Damn it… We couldn't stop him."

Stephen clenched his fists as Finn disappeared from sight.

He let out a long sigh before turning toward Sterling, who still lay unconscious nearby.

"Get Master Sterling to the healers. His injuries are probably severe."

Wong nodded, quickly moving to transport Sterling for treatment.

Stephen, still deep in thought, stared at the damaged hall, then shattered a nearby stone wall covered in memory-erasing runes before heading upstairs.

---

Meanwhile, across the city…

In a dark alley in Queens, New York—

HISSS!! CRACK!!

A tear in space-time suddenly split open, distorting reality itself.

A white silhouette emerged from the rift, landing effortlessly on the pavement.

Like a spider, she leapt onto the wall, her limbs sticking effortlessly.

Pulling back her hood, Gwen Stacy revealed her determined face.

She scanned the unfamiliar surroundings and muttered in confusion:

"Where... am I?"

But she wasn't the only one.

Across the country, portals were opening—on streets, rooftops, suspension bridges…

And strange figures were emerging into a world that felt familiar… yet entirely foreign.
