Marvel: I am Wanda's Apprentice.

Chapter 64: (The funeral.)

Chapter sixty four:

Every night Wanda Maximoff had to put me to sleep with her red chaos magic. I just wasn't coping. The whole thing was tearing me apart. Today was the funeral and Wanda didn't know how I would handle it. I mean the carrying of the coffin was fine but Wanda was worried about me having to deal with the people that talk about sympathy. I didn't like people who wasn't my family or friends at the best times let alone when grieving. Valkyrie and Carol Danvers was coming down to support us but the other's had to stay at the school.

We had to leave in a few hours but I wasn't showing any signs of waking up. Wanda Maximoff stroked my brown hair and kissed my forehead. I then opened my eyes smiling. You could see the split before I remembered what today was. I wasn't smiling anymore.

"I'm sorry to wake you up. We have to leave in a few hours and I didn't want to rush you." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"Wanda you don't have to apologize. Thank you for waking me up. I love you." I replied.

"I love you too Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff before she kissed me gently on the cheek.

"You can kiss me properly you know. Just cause I'm grieving I don't want you to be walking on egg shells and I certainly don't want it to affect our relationship." I replied.

Wanda Maximoff then pulled me in for a proper french kiss.

"See now that's how I like to wake up every morning. I'm going to take a shower. I would invite you to join but it doesn't seem like the right time." I said.

We got ready pretty quick and got the kids up and got ready to go to my parents house. This was going to be awful. We walk to my parents house from the hotel which was not too far. I held Wanda Maximoff's the whole time. When we got there we were greeted by my Rio Vidal or my mother, Jordan and Carol Danvers. No one knew what to say really. The cars started to pull up outside to take us to the funeral. Seeing the hearse with the coffin inside inside and flowers saying dad, grandpa and husband shook me to my core. It made it all real. Wanda Maximoff felt me grab her hand even tighter.

"I've got you Travis it's ok." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

Natasha held Wanda's other hand and the boys followed us. When we got to the car I held Wanda Maximoff even tighter.

"I don't know if I can do this." I said.

"You can and you will Travis. This isn't for you or him it's for your mom ok. She needs you to be strong. When we get back to the hotel then I'll be strong for you until then she needs you." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"Thank you for always knowing how to help me." I said before kissing her gently on the lips.

Jordan, the boys and I went over to the queue up to be pallbearers. They put Jordan and I on either side in the middle as we were the strongest. My mom clutched onto Wanda so Carol supported Natasha. It was tough for them to follow the coffin inside of the church. I sat down next to Wanda Maximoff holding her and she could tell that I was holding back tears.

"It's ok Travis." Said Wanda Maximoff.

The service was beautiful as was the burial. Then we had back to the house for the wake.

Wanda Maximoff and I used our red chaos magic to set up the canopy and chairs outside for everyone to sit. The caterers had done a good job with the food. Carol Danvers and Valkyrie looked after the kids while Wanda and I stood at the door and greeted people. After half a hour or so we were exhausted.

"I hate the saying sorry for your loss. It wasn't just me who lost him. If you don't feel a loss in your life then why are you here?" I said before grabbing some food.

My family as well as Carol Danvers and Valkyrie came over to join us.

"Have they behaved themselves?" I replied before looking at Carol Danvers.

Carol Danvers just nodded at me. Natasha had a puffy red face and the boys were trying to stay strong. They thought they had to be strong for us. Wanda Maximoff made sure that my mom stayed hydrated. People then came over to offer their sympathizes. I tried so hard to keep it together but it was hurting me.

Wanda Maximoff couldn't watch me tare myself apart anymore. Wanda Maximoff then took my hand and led me to our old room.

"Sit down and let it out. I'll sound proof the room." Said Wanda Maximoff.

I just broke down crying. Wanda Maximoff held me tight as I fell apart.

"I'm sorry." I replied.

"Listen to me you have nothing to apologize for you did well my love. You were there for your mom when she needed you now it's time for me to be here for you. I'll sit here and hold you as long as you need me to. When you are ready we can go back downstairs." Said Wanda Maximoff.

I then took a deep breath before we went back downstairs. Carol Danvers had another glass of red wine waiting for me when we went downstairs. Having her to support the kids was just what we needed. When the boys, Natasha, Valkyrie and Carol Danvers did the clear up.

Wanda Maximoff and I had to go back to the school tomorrow and I felt bad about it.

"You know it's ok for you to go back tomorrow. I have Jordan and Carol Danvers. I'll be fine." Said Rio Vidal or my mother.

I just hugged her tightly. "Wanda will you help me upstairs?" Replied Rio Vidal or my mother.

Wanda Maximoff just nodded before following her. She walked into the study and sat down in a chair.

"Before he died he wrote Travis a letter. He isn't ready to read it yet. You and I both know that so I want to give it to you for when he's got through this stage of his grief. He really loved you you know. When you came into our family he was delighted. He said to me this woman is going to making our son and she is going to give him happiness and love. He was right as he always was. Thank you for being so strong for all of us Wanda. You are the best thing that our son. You've given us the most beautiful and caring grandchildren too. I can never thank you enough for how happy you made him. You're a massive part of our family. I hope you feel the same way." Said Rio Vidal or my mother.

"I do. Your son means everything to me. It's such a honor to be loved by him. And he's just such a wonderful person and that's because of you and his dad. Both of you are who we want to raise our kids like. Your parenting is what aspire us to. If you need anything at all no matter what time you know where we are. You can come and stay with us whenever you like too. The kids would love having you around." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

We then got back to the hotel and I looked at Wanda Maximoff confused. Wanda Maximoff knew that I was desperate to know what they were talking about.

"You can ask me you know." Said Wanda Maximoff.

"What did you talk about?" I replied before cuddling up against her.

"We talked about you mainly and how grateful your dad was that we found each other and your mom too. Apparently he's been saving up to give you some money like he did Jordan. She transferred it into our account so whenever you want to use it." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"I'm worried about the boys." I said before checking the bank account.

"Me too but they won't talk about it. I'll ask Bucky to talk to them when we get back." Replied Wanda Maximoff.

"Thank you for today and last week. You've made everything so much easier. I love you so much Wanda." I said before holding her tightly.

"I love you too Travis." Replied Wanda Maximoff.
