Marvel : Godly Lottery System

Chapter 398: Conquer

Sometimes, Zane couldn't help but wonder: If every universe had countless parallel versions, why did this Marvel Universe share so many striking similarities with his previous world?

Which one was the prime universe, and which was the mere projection?

After pondering for a while, Zane realized that this wasn't something he could figure out right now. So, with a single thought, he retracted all the glowing planets within the Netherworld into his [Divine Realm].

Then, in the now-empty expanse of the universe, he left behind a mental seed.

This marked the complete annexation of the Netherworld, once under the control of Death, into his own domain.

With this mental seed, the souls of the dead in the Omniverse would naturally flow into this realm every second.

When Zane had the time, he could come by and harvest them in bulk.

With everything settled, Zane transformed into a streak of light and entered the [Divine Realm] contained within his pendant.

Within the vast expanse of the Divine Realm, Zane floated high in the air, gazing down at clusters of robust planets below.

Aside from the central, earthy-yellow primordial planet and the dwarf planet Zane had relocated, all other planets glowed with a soft, milky-white light.

With a thought, Zane caused lush white saplings to sprout across the glowing planets.

Some of the faster-growing saplings quickly matured into half-grown trees, their branches thick with unopened, crystalline buds.

A few buds even began to form shimmering, transparent fruits, each shaped like a small human figure with closed eyes, devoid of consciousness.

"From now on, these trees shall be called Soulcore Trees, and their fruits will reincarnate directly into human beings," Zane declared.

Pointing casually, he sent one of the fruits plummeting into the soil, where it vanished.

At that very moment, in a distant corner of the universe, a newborn baby cried out as it entered the world.

Zane knew that as the Death God of this Marvel Omniverse, he needed to make changes to the existing rules of death.

Otherwise, he would inevitably be assimilated by the cosmic rules of this Marvel Universe, becoming the next embodiment of the death concept—no different from the previous Death.

Still, he understood that completing these changes would require time and patience.

After a brief, thoughtful glance at the white tree planets, Zane descended to the central dwarf planet.

There, he checked in with Dwarf King Etiri, asking about their recent affairs and inspecting the Watcher Museum artifacts he had previously commissioned them to craft.

"Not bad," Zane remarked with approval before transforming into a beam of light and returning to the spaceship where Roma and the others awaited.

"I'm back, everyone," Zane announced, his gaze sweeping across the group.

The others immediately sensed the change in Zane's aura. Though many among them had ascended to the rank of gods, Zane's presence still made it feel as though their very lives could be decided with a single glance.

Zane said nothing more, walking over and wrapping an arm around Lorna's slender waist. He then raised his voice:

"Friends, let's set out together to conquer the next universe!"

"Destination: Ultimate Universe 1610!"

With a roar, a wormhole opened.

The Watcher's spaceship pulled the surrounding auxiliary fleet into its docking bays and, with engines blazing, shot into the wormhole.

In an instant, it vanished from sight.

The MK Crystal, emanating a radiant red glow, serves as the core of all reality in the Marvel Universe.

It is also the central nexus connecting the prime universe to all dimensional universes within the Omniverse.

At this moment, the towering, golden figure of the Living Tribunal, with its three heads and four faces, hovers solemnly within the crystalline void, as though presiding over divine judgment.

The enormous face previously seen beneath the Tribunal's golden feet is absent this time.

Instead, countless crystalline facets above reflect myriad large faces, all with their eyes tightly shut.

Their features gently shift, resembling sleeping infants, oblivious to the happenings of the external world.

The golden shell of the Living Tribunal refracts the myriad hues of light passing through the crystal into a sacred golden radiance, casting an aura of unparalleled solemnity over its massive frame.

Its three heads bowed slightly, the Tribunal gazed at three unmoving projections standing on the crystalline surface below. Pointing at one of them, it spoke in a deep, resonant voice:

"Eternity, Zane Sy has entered the universe under your jurisdiction."

"He is gradually replacing the authority of Death. Be vigilant."

With that, the Tribunal's finger emitted a golden beam of light, which disappeared into the projection.

After a brief moment, the projection quivered and responded curtly:

"Understood."

The projection then fell silent once more.

The Tribunal's central head, with sharp, piercing eyes, turned slightly to face another projection.

"You must oversee the Cosmic Prison carefully."

"Remember, this is not just my will."

Once again, the Tribunal pointed, sending a golden ray into the second projection.

Moments later, the projection replied:

"I will ensure the safety of the Cosmic Prison and the Realm of Nothingness."

The projection then returned to its stillness.

The Living Tribunal, pleased by understanding of the implicit message, turned to the final projection.

After a pause, it spoke slowly:

"Infinity, if you find yourself unoccupied, assist the other two."

The golden light lingered within the projection for a while before it trembled faintly in acknowledgment.

Satisfied, the Tribunal fell silent, its imposing form floating mid-air.

Without a neck, its three heads seamlessly rotated atop its massive torso, scanning the surroundings with an unbroken 360-degree gaze.

Finally, the Tribunal descended to the crystalline surface.

As it did, the reflective faces on the crystal facets and the three projections faded away.

At that moment, a misty humanoid figure, over a hundred meters tall, materialized on the crystal's outer surface.

With indistinct features faintly visible, the figure bent slightly, offering a respectful bow toward the Living Tribunal.

The Tribunal's heads rotated once more.

Suddenly, the blank face among the four revealed a set of finely chiseled features, faintly resembling those of the misty figure.

This newly-formed face spoke sharply to the misty figure:

"You are from the Transcendents, are you not?"

The humanoid figure hesitated briefly before regaining composure and responding with reverence:

"Honored Judge of Life, I am indeed Enbuchela, a special envoy from the Realm of Transcendence…"

Before it could finish, the Tribunal rotated its head again, reverting to the central face, which addressed the figure coldly:

"I am the Living Tribunal."

"My apologies. It was an oversight on my subordinate's part."
