Chapter 36: Ch. 36 - Mirror Dimension!
Upon solving the matter of vampires invading the village, I went back to the farmhouse quietly.
Seeing that the sun was about to rise, and I haven't even gotten a single wink, I sighed.
Looks like I'll have to spend the rest of my sleeping hours into studying magic spells.
As soon as possible, I should learn the Mirror Dimension spell. With it, my safety will not only be guaranteed but it would also give me a huge advantage against beings that are slightly or even more powerful than me.
Three hours have passed and the sunlight finally licked my skin, passing through the gaps of the curtain.
In front of me were broken shards of the space itself.
I have successfully mastered the Mirror Dimension!
All that's left is to test it myself!
But first things first, the most important rule before entering the Mirror Dimension is to always keep your Sling Ring to yourself at all times.
Because once you enter the Mirror Dimension, it is nigh-impossible to get out without any means of teleportation.
And I'm not talking about the normal way of teleportation. But the one that could jump cross dimensions.
Such a perfect example is the portal of Sling Ring.
"Fooo~ alright, time to test it out!" Standing up, I snapped my left arm forward as if touching the very fabric of space.
Crack!
And in front of my very eyes, appeared a large broken shard of space, enough to fit an entire truck inside.
"Amazing." Even as the caster, I couldn't help but marvel at the scene. This is my very own Mirror Dimension, created with the help of my Demonic Power.
Walking forward, I first used my hand and inserted it inside the large broken shard of space, watching as it sunk inside without any signs of halting.
After the hand came my arm and soon my entire shoulder and finally, my entire body entered through.
Once I was inside, I looked around and saw nothing had changed. Only that the broken shard of space where I just walked through was nowhere to be found, disappearing just as I entered.
Rushing outside the farmhouse, I searched around and noticed that nothing really changed, as if I had entered some sort of parallel reality.
However, if it wasn't for the villagers passing through me like I'm some kind of a phantom, is enough to tell me that I'm truly inside the Mirror Dimension.
"I should be able to manipulate everything around me, right?" Having already experienced this during my fight with Kaecilius, I waved my hand around and the small homes started flipping and folding like they were made of cardboard.
The ground is the same and they started forming different kinds of shapes.
I continued waving my hand around and kept manipulating my surroundings until everything became deformed.
The village no longer looks the same and instead, it looks like it is glitching in reality.
This scene made me recall those certain videos that were made by AI back in my original world.
Going forward, I touched one of the geometrically shaped walls and upon contact with my fingertips, formed a small wave that expanded across the entire wall, like a drop of water to a pond.
Suddenly, my breathing became a bit hitched.
Sensing the rapid depletion of my demonic reserves made me realize that the longer I stay in the Mirror Dimension, the more it siphons from my Demonic reserves.
From the looks of it, the Mirror Dimension uses my Demonic Energy to support itself and the more I manipulate my surroundings, the larger the consumption becomes.
Destroying the Mirror Dimension brought me back to the real world, and instead of finding myself back in my room inside the farmhouse, I was out in the village, the same exact place where I shattered the Mirror Dimension.
How wonderful. I could literally use this spell to both escape or spy on my enemies.
Of course, I'll only spy on my enemies, I swear to God.
Looking up at the sky and seeing the sun burning brightly, I stretched my body and proceeded to open a portal to the Enchanted Forest to resume my magical lessons with Sylphie.
***
Unbeknownst to the main character of the story, the creation of his Mirror Dimension spell caught the attention of a certain figure.
Flying in a large space kaleidoscope, a huge red flying dragon that could dwarf an entire city, was flying around it squinted its eyes.
"This energy…a new dimension? Someone's meddling with space again, I see…" The dragon huffed and resumed minding its own business.

My day in the Enchanted Forest was the same as usual, after absorbing everything that Sylphie threw at me, she decided to finally teach me the magic spells and runes of the Norse Elves.
Normally, this would've been illegal for her to do this but since it was her choice and there were no prying eyes, it was fine for her to do it.
As for her companions, they're extremely loyal to her and although they're a bit hesitant when it comes to teaching an outsider Elven magic, their loyalty towards her outweighs their obligation to follow the rules.
The first magic spell I learned was obviously nature magic. This magic spell will allow me to have some sort of 'communication' with the nature.
According to her, nature magic isn't about manipulating the nature, but communicating with it and establishing a tacit connection with one another.
Kind of like making nature your familiar or something.
So that means just because I learned nature magic, doesn't mean I can already manipulate trees and grasses. I first need to gain the trust of Mother Nature.
As for how to gain it, Sylphie left it for me to solve.
When I first used Nature Magic and tried to communicate with nature, what I received was a fierce attack of the trees slamming their branches hard down on me.
Seriously, I thought nature was supposed to be all about peace, non-violence, and stuff!
What's with these bloodthirsty trees hellbent on squashing me dead?
I tried inquiring Sylphie about this but she just laughed at my predicament, saying that I wasn't the only one who was experiencing this.
Okay, looks like Mother Nature is some sort of a wolf in sheep's clothing.
For the rest of the day, I kept trying to communicate with Mother Nature and the only progress I made before night came was that the trees are no longer trying to squash me to death.
Trust me, after almost hundreds of dodging all those tree branches, finally being able to communicate to them without those violence is considered a big leap in progress.
After the night came, I decided to resume communicating with them tomorrow.
***
Just as I got home, my senses immediately went tingling, announcing that there is danger and I immediately dodged to the side just as a black shadow flew past me.
Boom!
Quickly casting two Tao Mandalas on both of my hands, I swiftly turned around and cautiously eyed the shadow blur that just tried to 'ambush' me.
Only for me to hear that familiar voice.
"Ouch! Why did you dodge!" Followed by a ball of water being thrown at me.
A simple lift of my hand and a portal appeared and swallowed the entire ball of water before being followed by the sound of a splash.
Splash!
"Ah! What in the satan's name! I swear I threw it at you!" Finally the dust settles, revealing the form of Serafall, however she looked like a mess as her hair was wet and dirt covered her face and cloth.
"Sera? What the hell are you doing back here again?" My eye twitched several times as I knew my senses tingling were right, a 'danger' has indeed appeared.
"Haha! It is I! Do you miss me?" Crossing her arms under her 'bosom' which attracted my attention which was short-lived as Serafall then pointed her finger at me.
"I came here to announce something!"
"Stop yelling first, it's already midnight!" I yelled back at her in a hushed tone.
However her next words made me stumped and almost forgot to breath
"ChamCham! From now on, you're my fiancee!" She's even proudly declaring it with a huge smile on her face.
Though the look on her eyes was evident to me that there's really something warm brewing within.
So all this time, I was oblivious to the fact that there's a devil maiden that is falling for my charm!?
I'm not even that handsome!
The last time I looked into the mirror was back in the world of Marvel and when I stare at myself in one, it reminds me that sometimes, God is a little unfair to his creation.
There's a reason why I'm still single even now.
Until this happened.
"Fiancee? Sera, are you drunk? You can't just tell someone that they're your fiancee without his knowledge!"
"And besides, how di-" Before I could continue my words, my senses went tingling once again, but this time the 'danger' is no longer Serafall in front of me.
Seeing the look on Serafall's face that turned serious, I knew I wasn't the only one.
We both raised our heads at the same time and there in the night sky, were bats.
Bats once again and from the looks of it, their number is a few times larger than the previous one.
What's with these vampires and their tendency to attack me every night!?
Do I look like some weak maiden waiting to be bitten on the neck when sleeping?
"Chamber? Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" I heard Serafall ask.
"I do."
"Foes?"
"Yes."
Suddenly, a grin was formed on Serafall's face as she conjured another ball of water from her behind that separated into tens of long but small spears which soon turned into solid ice, effectively giving her ten spears that could penetrate even steel.
Meanwhile, the bats started diving toward us with killing intents.
Fighting such a large army would no doubt cause havoc and many innocent casualties to the village.
Looks like learning the Mirror Dimension just in time came in handy!
