Chapter 93: Chapter 93

"Squeak~" The door opened, and Fiona walked in, holding a large number of pregnancy test sticks.

"How's it going? Will I have another niece?"

Li Pu joked immediately.

"Silly boy, I haven't tested it yet!" Fiona smiled.

"Lip, how was your chat with the three of them?" Fiona asked.

"Good," Lip responded.

"So Ian isn't going to West Point?"

"Fiona, after discussing with Lip, I've decided to go to West Point, but I want to be an officer, not cannon fodder," Ian explained.

"Why?" Fiona spread her hands. "Don't officers still go to the battlefield? What if you get shot?"

"The security is better, and there's more room for development!" Ian replied.

"No matter what, I'll never agree. I don't want to suddenly get a phone call with bad news!" Fiona said, cutting to the worst-case scenario.

"Fiona, Ian promised me he'll go after high school," Lip said with a smile.

"Oh, that's good news! Anything else?"

"I'm also getting ready to go back to school," Mickey said weakly, raising his hand.

"Seems like you're ready to grow old with Ian, huh?" Fiona teased.

"Um," Mickey nodded seriously.

"So which one of you is the husband?"

"I!" Ian and Mickey replied in unison.

"Haha, I think you two should discuss that before telling me!" Fiona laughed.

"Fiona!" Lip suddenly called out.

"What's up?"

"I want you to be the boss of my new company!"

"What? Lip, are you starting a company?!"

"Yes."

"How can you drive as a minor...?" Fiona reacted quickly. "You mean you want me to use my identity to help you register the company?!"

Fiona looked at Lip with shock and confusion.

Lip nodded.

"Tell me what kind of company you want first."

"A security company!"

"A security company? Who are you going to be a bodyguard for? How many girlfriends do you have?" Fiona asked, sharp as ever, hitting the nail on the head.

"Fiona, do you think you'd need a bodyguard if you were running a cash business that makes five to six thousand dollars every day?"

"If I could earn that much, I'd be my own bodyguard. Not only would I carry a Glock, but I'd have an M16 in my big canvas bag."

"What if you're in the South District?!"

"Lip, I know you're smart, but a security company can't run on your own. You need a team," Fiona said, trying to persuade him. "Listen to me, you should focus on your studies, go to college, and find a good job."

"I don't want to be a 9-to-5 social worker," Lip said sincerely, locking eyes with Fiona. "Sister, please support your brother's career!"

Fiona hesitated, then agreed.

"Okay, I'll help you apply for the company. But you promise me you won't act recklessly. Be careful with everything."

"You're the best, Fiona!" Lip smiled brightly. "Oh, I almost forgot—I have a gift for you!"

"Come on, I've helped you all my life, so what's this little gift you're giving me?"

"Fiona, this gift is bigger than this house!" Lip gestured with his hands.

"Just blow it!" Fiona laughed, though she was happy.

Lip was touched. His eldest sister had always been strict with him, but deep down, he knew she cared.

"Sister, you'll definitely love this gift," Lip thought to himself.

"Lip, can I ask you something?" Fiona approached him and asked quietly.

"Sure."

"Do all men like the new and dislike the old?"

"Ah? Jimmy, that bastard…"

"Don't jump to conclusions!"

"Sister, not all men like the new and hate the old. But isn't it normal to get tired of the same thing?"

"What do you mean?"

"Remember how you loved nut cereal? Do you still want to eat it now?"

"I ate it every day for a month and never wanted to touch it again!" Fiona suddenly realized. "I get it now."

"But what can I do? I can't find another woman to replace me for Jimmy, right?"

"My smart sister!" Lip smiled. "Why not add something new to the nut cereal, or make it into oatcakes instead?"

"Wow, I get it now, Lip! You really helped me!"

"Fiona, what's going on? Aren't you pregnant?"

"I just feel that Jimmy's been off lately. He's not as passionate as when we first met!"

"Fiona, could it be that Jimmy's stressed from preparing for exams at Michigan Medical School? He's been studying for 7 or 8 hours a day!"

"Yes! Why didn't I think of that? That's probably it! He's been studying nonstop!"

"Mua~ Thank you, Lip!" Fiona kissed him on the cheek before happily running back to her house.

"Why is Fiona so happy?" Ian asked, walking up to Lip.

"She figured out what was bothering her. Of course, she's happy!" Lip explained.

"By the way, when are you and Mickey starting your special training?"

"Lip, isn't it your decision?"

"Mickey, I still respect you, the people involved!"

"Okay, I'll discuss it with Ian."

"Just make sure to give me a reply and a specific time as soon as possible!"

Ian and Mickey replied in unison, "Got it!"

Just as Lip was about to discuss the Xiaolong Gang's recent developments with Mickey, his phone rang.

"Hey, Professor Hurst, what's up?"

"Boy, don't be so formal. After all, I did a lot to get you that admission notice from the University of Chicago!"

"Professor, it's because of your help I've had five months of leisure. I'm being polite, not insulting you. What do you need?"

"Want to make money? Big money!"

"Yes, I do!"

"Then you'd better come to the University of Chicago this afternoon. I've got a project that will interest you."

"What project?"

"Remember the SIM board you took from me?"

"I paid for it."

"There's a colonel from the Department of Defense who's interested in your police locator."

"He wants to invest?"

"No, he wants me to apply for your police locator and unmanned micro-aircraft to be included in a defense research project."

"How much can I get?"

"Maybe $30,000 or $50,000."

"I'll think about it."

"Do it soon! There are many smart people after it."

"Okay, thanks!"

Lip hung up, thinking he'd join Professor Hurst's project—not for the money, but for the core of the unmanned aerial vehicle technology, the precursor to drones.

He remembered that the leading drone company was once worth hundreds of billions of dollars. He didn't want to miss out.

So, he decided to head to the University of Chicago immediately.

He rushed upstairs and asked, "Any beautiful girls want to tour the University of Chicago with me?"

"Lip, please spare us! Ever since we had the baby, we move as little as possible," Karen and Mandy agreed with Jessica.

"Lip, I'll go with you! I've never visited a university!" Ethel volunteered.

"Hehe, okay!" Lip smiled.

He led Ethel downstairs.

"Do you two want to come to Chicago with me?" Lip asked Ian and Mickey.

They glanced at Ethel next to Lip and shook their heads. They weren't foolish enough to be third wheels!

Lip shrugged. "Do as you please."

He grabbed Ethel's hand, got into the passenger seat of the Hummer, and fastened her seatbelt.

With a press of the accelerator, the black Hummer sped off toward the University of Chicago.
