Lust for the King’s Wife

Chapter 25

Chapter 25

“Ugh.”

The weight of my body collided with the bed, sending a dull ache through my shoulder.

The small size of the bed meant that my arm struck against the wooden frame every time I moved.

Yet, I barely had time to notice the discomfort before the shadows of two women loomed over me. The first to act, of course, was the princess.

“…Alf.”

“Princess.”

“You’re mine.”

Her unfocused eyes reflected my face. Her warm breath brushed past my nose, and I felt my own vision grow hazy.

Was it the alcohol? Just inhaling her scent made my head swim, as if I were being bewitched.

Before I could fully process the thought, her lips pressed against mine.

“Mm—”

“—Mm!”

At the same moment, her hand found its way to my lower body, gripping me possessively. A jolt of clarity shot through me, and I pushed her away reflexively.

“Princess.”

“Why? Why now?”

My resistance was weak and ineffective. My body, for some reason, felt sluggish and unresponsive, making it difficult to push her back fully.

If the princess wished, she could have delved as deeply into me as she desired. But Mirian was not one to stand idly by and let that happen.

“Step aside, Princess.”

“…”

“Alf said no, didn’t he?”

Her calm, melodic voice cut through the tension, pulling the princess back. Gently but firmly, she turned my face toward hers, cupping my chin.

Our eyes met briefly before Mirian leaned in, stealing a kiss.

Unlike the princess’, her kiss was tender and sweet. Her lips moved softly against mine, with a faint sweetness that made my body relax involuntarily. The kiss lingered, long enough for my resistance to ebb away entirely.

Then, a jealous hand found its way inside my pants. Startled, I opened my eyes to find the princess exploring me, her touch unabashed.

“You don’t seem to enjoy kissing. How about this, then?”

“…Ugh.”

“Heh. This part of you doesn’t lie.”

A quiet laugh echoed near my ear. Her fingers traced along sensitive areas, and I could feel heat pooling shamefully in response.

Combined with the wet sounds of Mirian’s kiss, I teetered on the edge of losing control.

The princess seemed to sense it, smiling mischievously as she guided my hand beneath her undergarments.

“It wouldn’t be fair if I was the only one touching.”

“…”

“So, I’ll let you.”

Her voice carried a hint of hesitation, but her actions were bold. My palm found the soft curve of her chest, and an electric sensation coursed through me.

Her skin was hot, moist, and irresistible. Every motion amplified the tactile experience, making it harder to pull back. My instincts, buried beneath restraint, clawed their way to the surface.

Mirian’s deepened kiss only stoked the flames. She pressed further, drawing my tongue into hers, and I could do nothing but follow.

“Haah… haa…”

“Mm…”

“Haah… ah…”

Mirian’s hushed sighs reached my ears as she guided my other hand toward her thigh. Her intent was clear, and when my fingers twitched, she slipped them between her legs.

It was surprisingly assertive. Her movements caught me off guard, and she noticed, pulling away from the kiss to murmur softly.

“Surprised?”

“A little.”

“I thought you deserved a small reward.”

Her heated gaze returned as she captured my breath once more. I felt my focus scatter, and without thinking, my fingers pressed deeper into the warmth she offered.

Finally, the tip of my index finger found the most private, intimate place. As I brushed against it, Mirian shuddered, her thighs instinctively clamping down.

A mix of excitement and timidity radiated from her body. There was a nervousness to her, an air of vulnerability reminiscent of a bride on her wedding night.

If I pushed forward boldly, she would yield completely. The evidence was painted across her flushed cheeks, glowing red under the dim light.

Her damp hair clung to her face, framing eyes that sparkled with longing. It felt as though she would accept whatever came next without resistance.

“Haah… Alf…”

“…Mm.”

“Alf… haah…”

“Haah… mm…”

The hands exploring my body, the whispered sighs, the stolen breaths—all of it was intoxicating. Between the princess and the queen, I was tasting a forbidden fruit I had no right to touch.

Each glance in any direction was met with a sight that could undo me. It felt like I was back in the labyrinth, fighting against dozens of succubi at once.

Yet, no matter how much I tried to balance, my focus inevitably leaned toward one side. My inclination became apparent as I found myself tilting closer to Mirian.

“Haah… haah…”

“…Mm.”

“Ah… Alf…”

The princess reached out, trying to pull me back to her. But her strength faltered, her grip weakening as she slid away.

At last, her hand slipped free, and she fell onto the bed, defeated. The motion sent me toppling onto Mirian, pinning her beneath me.

“Ah.”

“…Oh.”

Our eyes locked, breaths mingling in the charged air. The tension between us thickened, and for a moment, all else faded into silence.

“Will you take me?”

“Who knows.”

“Hmm…”

At my vague response, Mirian’s lips curved upward in her signature, confident smile. Her low voice reached me again, like a silken thread pulling me closer.

“Whatever you decide, you’d best hurry.”

“…”

“The night is shorter than you think.”

It was practically permission. Her words were matched by the loose folds of her garment, slipping open to reveal pale, delicate skin.

Yet, there was a trace of nervousness. Her legs pulled in slightly, a subtle signal of vulnerability. Just as my body betrayed my restraint, hers seemed to echo the same.

“…Is that so.”

“…”

“Then, if you insist.”

I placed my hands on her shoulders, fingers catching the strings of her dress. The tension built as I inhaled deeply, a weight pressing on the room.

Mirian held her breath, her lashes fluttering as her eyes closed. Beneath her calm demeanor, a faint trembling betrayed her anticipation.

“Haah…”

“…Mm.”

As I leaned down toward Mirian, her eyes clenched shut tightly, her expression carrying an innocence that only seemed to stoke the flames of my desire.

But instead of her lips, I pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. Then, I reached for her fallen straps, carefully restoring her clothing.

“…Ah?”

“Mirian.”

Her startled reaction was quiet but unmistakable. As she opened her mouth to speak, I lightly touched her lips with my fingers, looking into her eyes with sincerity.

“When we share our first night together, it will be just the two of us.”

“…”

“If I ever have the privilege of being with you, it must be that way.”

For a moment, Mirian stared at me, her expression one I had never seen before. It was so unlike her that I found myself at a loss for words.

But the moment passed swiftly. Her composure returned as her lips curved into a familiar, sardonic smile.

“Unexpectedly chivalrous of you, Alf.”

“I simply want all of you, completely and wholeheartedly.”

“What a shame. I hadn’t intended to stop here tonight.”

“Is that so?”

“Still, we’ve drawn enough attention. It’s time.”

Something in her tone carried an ominous weight, causing me to frown slightly. In contrast, she remained unnervingly calm as she spoke.

“My apologies.”

“…”

“But do brace yourself.”

The meaning behind her words became clear almost immediately. Heavy footsteps echoed from beyond the door, each one deliberate and measured.

Before I could react, the door swung open without a knock. There was only one person in this kingdom who could enter the princess’ chambers so unceremoniously.

The king stepped into the dim light of the corridor, his presence looming. Caught red-handed in a compromising scene, I turned to face him and offered a simple greeting.

“Your Majesty.”

“…”

The king’s gaze swept over the disarray of the room, taking in each of us in turn. His voice finally broke the silence, calling out our names one by one.

“Alf.”

“…”

“Princess.”

“…”

“…Mirian.”

He paused on the last name, his lips curling into a faint, unreadable expression. Despite the shocking nature of what he must have walked into, his reaction was measured.

“I went to your quarters, Alf, intending to discuss today’s events, but you weren’t there. While searching for you, a maid informed me you might be here.”

“…”

“I hesitated, worried I might intrude. But then, I heard voices. Not two, but three. That seemed… peculiar.”

“…”

“So, I came in unannounced. Forgive me, my dear.”

His eyes shifted to the princess, who had regained consciousness but was clearly overwhelmed with embarrassment. Her gaze flitted between Mirian and me, her shock and shame evident.

“Hah… What a mess.”

“…”

“Would anyone care to explain?”

The king’s exasperated sigh filled the room. Despite his seemingly composed demeanor, there was a hint of vulnerability in his tone, as if he almost sympathized with the situation.

Yet my focus remained on Mirian. Her earlier words replayed in my mind.

If you truly want me, then dance.

The meaning of her challenge became clear. My hesitation, my reluctance to act decisively, had always been the problem.

If I wanted to claim her—a queen—then I would need to step boldly, even if it meant plunging the entire kingdom into chaos.

Having chosen to live by my desires, there was no room left for hesitation.

“Alf…”

“Your Majesty.”

Before the king could speak further, I stepped forward, meeting his gaze without flinching.

“I formally challenge you to a duel.”

“…”

“If I win, I claim everything that is yours. Including…”

I paused deliberately, letting the weight of my words settle. Then, with unwavering resolve, I finished.

“Mirian.”

“…Ha.”

The king exhaled heavily, his shoulders rising and falling. For a brief moment, I thought he might lose his temper.

But instead, he threw back his head and laughed—a deep, booming laugh that echoed through the room.

“Hahaha…”

“…”

“Hahahahaha!”

He laughed for what felt like an eternity, while I stood firm, my expression steady as I watched him.

“Hahaha… ah, Alf.”

“…”

“I have to admit, I’ve been hoping for this.”

His laughter subsided, replaced by a solemn expression. Yet his lips retained a faint trace of amusement as he spoke again, his tone carrying undeniable weight.

“Tomorrow, we settle this.”
