Love Yokai

Power was rushing through Hudson's body and he was feeling confident. He realized that he had developed super strength and the ability to teleport.

He didn't know where his new powers were coming from but he didn't care. He was just excited that he had them.

He was in his room teleporting and lifting his bed up and down repeatedly when his sister got annoyed and came barging into his room.

" No way ! " She said as she saw Hudson lifting the bed with only one hand.

" Pretty cool, huh ?" Hudson said as he showed her how high he could lift his bed .

" You have super powers ?!" She asked loudly and Hudson tried to get her to quiet down .

" Shhhh." He said while putting a finger over his lips.

" I can't believe that you have powers." She said again and Hudson glared at her.

" Ok fine. I'll calm down." She said and he placed the bed back down and they both sat on it.

" I don't know how I got them but I know It makes me happy. I feel like I will finally be able to change the world not just with science and medicine but with other things."

" Why are you always trying to be so inspirational. You sound like a motivational speaker every time you talk about science." Hotaru said frustratedly and Hudson smiled.

" Maybe I should used my new teleportation

abilities to deliver medicine to the elderly or maybe I could use my super strength to move rubble during an earthquake.The possibilities are endless."

" Eros ?" Hotaru said as she realized that the Alien Cupid was standing at the door.

" When did you get here ?" Hudson asked and Eros stared at him.

" I felt my power increase and I could feel the energy coming from you."

" Did I get this power from you ?"

"It's possible but don't think I was trying to give you some of my power because I wasn't. I don't know how you got your powers. Maybe it was an accident or something." Eros said

" Maybe now when we fight it'll be fair ." Eros said and Hudson looked at him questioningly.

"For someone who doesn't know how I got my powers you sure accepted it fast."

"Listen remember when I gave you that sheild to protect you ? I had no intention of giving you powers. I wasn't even sure that kind of thing was possible but there's this dumb story that two people can share power for whatever stupid reason." Eros said and Hudson got up and walked towards Eros.

" I promise to make the world a better place with the power that you gave me." Hudson said and Eros glared at him.

" I didn't give you your power ,stupid. Go thank God. He must have wanted you to have it." Eros said and he turned to walk away, grumbling but Hudson hugged him.

"Let go of me, Starboy." Eros said frustratedly as he pushed Hudson away but Hudson's super strength stopped him from budging.

Hudson squeezed Eros hard then he let Eros go.

" I didn't come here to check on your power because I'm sentimental. I only came here to check if the second part of the story was true ."

" And what's that ?"

" If you got a power from someone else they can also control your power. So Starboy are you willing to become my personal weapon ?"

"Are you CRAZY ? There's no way I'd let you use me to fight all the time. I want to use my powers to help people."

"let's see if you have a choice. Weapon , Cupid wings." Eros said and Hudson's eyes glowed and wings popped out of his back.

Eros walked up to him with an excited look covering his face.

" Look at that , Starboy. You aren't garbage after all. I finally found good use for you . " Eros said as Hudson's wings flapped back and forth.

Having a shared power meant that your power and even your body could be completely controlled by the Master.

The Master referred to the person who you got your powers from and this was the very beginning of Eros' new obsession with Hudson.

" I take it back I'm not happy to have these powers." Hudson thought because he felt as if his own body was betraying him.

Doing things that He didn't want to do because Eros wanted him to do them was a nightmare but Eros having control over his body and when he used his powers was a disaster waiting to happen.

" I don't want to be your weapon." Hudson told Eros angrily and Eros just smirked.

" Mind if I take him home ?" Eros asked Hotaru as he took a glowing collar that was attached to an handcuff by a long chain out of his pocket and put it around Hudson's neck then attached it to one of his own arms using the handcuff .

Two fools connected by power.

Hotaru looked at Eros in shock.

"Look, Space Face! I don't want to be your damn weapon, you hear me. Take your power back if you have to." Hudson shouted as he tried to remove the collar from around his neck.

" He doesn't want to go with you."

"He has MY power so now he belongs to me." Eros said defensively and Hotaru looked at him questioningly.

" Listen Eros, I don't know how they do things on your planet but that's not how it works." Hotaru said and Eros got extremely angry.

" Fine . You can stay here Star boy but let me know when you want to reach the peak of your new abilities. I can make you feel that high." Eros said , smirking sinisterly and then he took the collar off of Hudson and left the room.

Hudson sighed in relief and threw himself into his bed.

He knew Eros wasn't going to stop bothering him since he knew Hudson shared his abilities.

Hudson felt like he would now be forever indebted to Eros because he was sharing his power.

On his way out of Hudson's House Eros saw an envelope with a star like he did in Planet Passion and He immediately became pissed off.

" You've got to be kidding me."

" This note is for Hudson. We'd like to have you as a part of our team." The note said as Eros approached it and Hudson came outside to see the note on the floor and he quickly took it up.

" Don't open that - " Eros said but Hudson opened the note immediately.

[ Congratulations! You've just been invited to Drop Dead or Love .We've recognized the greatness of your power from light-years away. Join our game and we'll give you the chance to create a better world.]

Eros grabbed the note and ripped it in two.

"What a scam ." He remarked and Hudson glared at him.

" It's an invitation to a deadly game. Did you actually believe that it would allow you to change the world ? " Eros explained and Hudson didn't even understand what was going on .

" I don't understand." Hudson stated and Eros took up the letter which had regenerated again and showed it to Hudson.

" There is an Anti Cupid cult that will do anything to see Cupids suffer. They believe in a stupid prophecy that says I'll destroy the world if I don't find my love match. Now they're gathering the strongest from each Planet to force us all into a stupid game and because you now share my power you are the strongest human and the newest target of the Anti - Cupid."

" I really don't want to participate."

" Well too bad , Starboy. This thing won't leave you alone unless you leave your home planet or agree to play their unnecessary game."

" I - I don't want to do it . "

" Well don't. You can always not use your powers for a while until it loses track of you ."

" Are you telling me this because you want to protect me or because you want to protect the new power that I have ."

" Protecting your power is my priority." Eros stated dryly

" So you only care because I share your power ?"

" Maybe just accept it and stop seeking pity."

" Well this sucks I just got my powers and now I can't use them." Hudson said frustratedly.

[ This game is about love and sacrifice. Only the most powerful beings can enter. We aren't the Villains in your story. The Cupids are. They suck up all the love for themselves and leave us wondering if we're good enough. Imagine a world where everyone was loved equally and the Cupids didn't exist.]

The voice from the note said and for a second Hudson remembered everytime when Eros got all the love and attention and he was left feeling inadequate and insecure.

Hudson felt jealous and the envy began consuming him but then he remembered that Eros saved him and made him feel his spark again.

" I'm sorry. I can't really imagine a world without Eros." Hudson finally replied to the voice from the note.

" There you go again with the sentimental crap. I wasn't even in your world until a couple of days ago." Eros complained angrily, gritting his teeth and trying to contain his anger.

" You weren't in my Planet but that really isn't my world. My world is in here." Hudson said and he placed his hand on his chest where his heart was.

" Starboy, you're so dumb it makes me wanna barf." Eros said and Hudson smiled.

" So what's the first thing that you want to do with our power?" Eros asked as he turned to look at Hudson.

MEANWHILE AT EROS' HOUSE....

" TWO KINGS DIVIDED BY POWER AND FUELED BY HATRED WERE THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP PLANET PASSION SAFE." Venus read aloud from the folklore book that Hudson had told her not to read and Alto was laying on the couch drifting off to sleep as she read.

Yukina was the only one listening attentively and Amorette was painting her toe nails as they all sat on the floor.

" You're reading bedtime stories to them again? When are we going to get to fight the incubus? I'm losing my patience." The only one who was missing from the room walked in , his blue hair was messy and he had a bloody sword in his hand.

" Orion, they're not bedtime stories.They're our history. They're the truth." Venus said defensively and Orion pointed his sword at her suddenly.

Yukina gasped as the sword barely missed Venus's neck.

" I didn't come here to babysit Yukina. I came here to be a warrior and make my planet proud." Orion was upset but deep down it was because everytime he looked at Yukina he remembered his little sister who was still in their home planet and he really missed his little sister.

Yukina had a sad look on her face , she had created healing potions and was selling them to put food on the table but everything went wrong when she started created some potions for a different use.

" I'm not babysitting her. She is being mentored by ME. I brought her here because she has potential. Her potions are amazing." Venus defended herself and Yukina, but Orion was still angry.

He moved his sword away from her neck frustratedly and put it back in its sheath.

" Let's find out what Eros thinks about this when he gets here and see you guys reading the same book he warned you about." Orion said as he left the room and Venus groaned frustratedly.
