Love Yokai

"Aliens invading Earth and eating pizza in the Cafeteria was not on my bingo card." Hudson stated as he sat with Venus and Eros at college.

"And yet here we are." Venus said taking a huge bite of her slice of pepperoni pizza and Hudson laughed nervously.

" I've noticed that something's been off on this planet ever since I got here and for some reason there's an imbalance in the power system." Venus said and Hudson looked confused.

" Didn't we already know that Eros was unnaturally powerful. He's always had more power than anyone else so what's the big deal now ?" Hudson asked , his brows furrowed and his mind filled with questions.

Aliens were confusing and the power system had proven to be more complicated than he could ever imagine.

" Someone's power must have increased or maybe someone we know decided to share the power that they already had ? " Venus suggested but she already knew the answer.

Eros had shared his power with Hudson and the fact is there was a possibility that it could have multiplied to an unphathomable state.

" Oh I see ...." Hudson said nervously and he got up and walked away as he realized that it was all because of him.

His new power was the reason for the imbalance in the power system and probably the reason for the recent invasions.

When power is shared it can either be divided or multiplied and as days went by it was becoming more and more obvious that Eros' power had been multiplied and as a result Hudson's new power kept becoming stronger.

Hudson stood by the soda machine trying to purchase a cherry cola but after he paid the machine didn't dispense the drink at all .

He kicked the vending machine and shook it frustratedly and then he stared into the machine that had an assortment of different drinks.

" The Incubus. Vampire Fairies. The Affection Alliance. An Alien Cupid who can't fall in love and an inferior Human Boy who can share his power. This all must be so interesting to a human." A voice whispered at Hudson's ears and he turned around to see Alto smirking at him.

" Dude you can't just sneak up on people like that. There's also this thing called personal space. You should learn about it. " Hudson said as he backed away from Alto.

"You mean the person has Space of their own. How Amazing! I can't even imagine having a galaxy for myself." Amorette said as she appeared by Hudson's other side and the Human boy groaned frustratedly.

" That's not what I mean. I mean he's way too close to me! " Hudson said and then he sighed.

" Let me guess ..... You guys are also with Eros? " Hudson said as he faced both beings and Amorette giggled.

" I was hoping he'd introduce us to you but he's grumpy as usual. I'm Amorette and this is Alto. He's a seductive speech user." Amorette introduced herself and the boy beside her and Hudson relaxed a bit.

Hudson wondered what it would be like to have seductive speech power but then he was forced back to reality by Amorette's voice.

" So which one were you trying to get? " Amorette asked and Hudson remembered that he was just trying to get his drink from a faulty vending machine.

" Um....Cherry Cola." Hudson stated and Amorette reached her hand through the glass and grabbed two drinks.

Hudson stared at her in awe realizing that with powers like hers he would never have to complain about a locked door or a busted vending machine ever again. He would be able to just walk through walls and reach out and take whatever he wanted.

Amorette handed him one of the drinks .

" Thank you. " Hudson said and Alto reached his hand out for the other drink but Amorette floated by him and went to give it to Eros.

" I forgot that she only cares about Master Eros." Alto stated as he watched the floating girl.

" Aren't people going to think it's strange that she's just floating around like that ?"

"Once our powers are in use we can also activate something I like to call incognito mode." Alto explained with a small smirk and Hudson just stared at him.

" You mean like that secret tab on a smart phone that you use to look at shady stuff online ?" Hudson asked and Alto nodded.

" Anyways I really want to talk to you about your power. Since it's from Eros - "

" I know everyone wants his power and people would do anything to be in my position but Eros told me recently that I'm just a human who got lucky."

" You won the power lottery basically. This means that they're people more worthy and deserving of that new power than you and I am one of those people. I ENVY YOU. I have worked all my life to become strong enough to fight by Eros' side and you did nothing and got the power that I wanted.They're probably only five people in the whole universe who will be able to share Eros' power and the first one is a human boy who just found out that incubus exist. What's even worse is that it's a pretty boy like you who has no muscle whatsoever. " Alto said and Hudson felt horrible to know that Alto didn't think of him as someone worthy of Eros' power.

" It's ok I know I'm not worthy."

Hudson frowned as he thought of how many better candidates for Eros' power must have existed.

' He's right. Anyone would be better weapon for Eros than me .'

Hudson thought and Alto walked away feeling a bit satisfied that the pitiful human boy knew that he was still weak.

" Hey guys. " Yukina walked into the cafeteria looking a bit awkward and lost at first then she saw Hudson and stared at him.

"Hey, Yukina." Venus , Alto and Amorette said in unison but Eros simply ignored the girl.

Yukina felt like an outcast and then she turned into a bunny and hopped towards Hudson.

He looked down awkwardly at the white rabbit in front of him and she snuggled closely to his feet. He could sense she had fear in her heart and that there was something she wanted to say to him.

He picked her up and walk towards the rest of the group.

" She's a valuable member of your group and she's going to make a difference." Hudson said as he placed the white rabbit in the center of the table Eros was sitting at.

" She's just a girl ."

"Actually now she's parrot. a mouse , a butterfly. a cat ." Hudson continued excitedly as Yukina kept changing her form and Alto rolled his eyes.

"She can shape shift ?" Eros asked surprised.

You could tell he never expected this since he normally never engaged with anything that concerned her.

Eros always acted like he hated everybody and maybe he actually did but power was attractive to him.

" I was trying to tell you " Venus said and Eros actually looked impressed

The ground beneath them shook and the Yukina jumped as the table beneath her shook and fell to the ground.

She wagged her tail frantically then went back to her original form as an alien girl.

The building kept shaking.

" An Earthquake? Again? " Hudson asked and Amorette kept going from incognito mode to visible over and over again.

"Is she glitching? " Hudson asked staring at the Cupid girl who was now trembling.

"No. She does that when she's scared."

"So why doesn't she just stay invisible?"

"She doesn't know whether she should take flight or fight . It's a panic reaction . There's danger near." Venus explained then the whole school went dark.

The students screamed.

" You're all still afraid of the Dark ? " Jackson's voice mocked them from across the room and Eros scowled at him.

"Trust me , I've seen whole planets get blown up. This doesn't scare me at all.

" What ? You sure hanging out with the science nerd isn't making you delusional ?"

Hudson felt a droplet of water trickle down his face and it startled him.

The lights flickered on and off and the air became cold. Drops of liquid started falling from the ceiling and the students started running frantically.

'The water .... it's coming from the roof. Is it actually raining inside ?' Hudson got lost in his thoughts and didn't know what to do next.

"Yes. It is raining inside." Eros answered but Hudson remembered that he never asked his question out loud.

"Is he reading my mind ? '

"Yes I'm reading your - "

The windows bursted open with floods of water that washed them to and from each other before Eros could finish his sentence.

Screaming filled the room as the students tried to grab on to desks and chairs that just ended up floating away with them. Yukina immediately shape shifted into an Angler fish and swam to the bottom of the water .

It was as if the ocean was invading their school and no one knew why.

The roof lifted as water flooded in and for a second it was as if the world around them became a giant aquarium.

A bright light flashed from above as they all tried to hold their breath .

A space ship that seemed more like an orb filled with liquid was above them and it had been emptying all it's contents into the school.

" Sirens ." Eros said and he swan back to the top as fast as he could.

"So this is what school would look like under water . " Elias said when he got to the surface and he immediately went looking for Cole.

A beautiful creature appeared in the water just above Hudson , it glistened and glowed as it swam to the top of the waters above them.

Sirens swam in the center of the room dancing and luring everyone in.

" Woah . What's that ? " Hudson said as he saw the beautiful sight of sirens dancing in the water.

" Not every beautiful show needs an audience." Venus said as she pushed Hudson out of the way.

He was looking at a Siren show. A beautiful but deadly one .

" What does that mean ? I just never knew mermaids existed."

"They're NOT mermaids." Venus argued , trying to get Hudson to leave as soon as possible.

The cafeteria floor began sprouting seaweeds and tiny plants that grow in the ocean

" Then what are they ? " Hudson demanded still trying to get a better look at the creatures infront of him.

Month of the Sea , day of the Beast , Year of the Siren ...

" Like mermaids but way worst." Alto said as he appeared in between Venus and Hudson.

The Siren Prince and his sister led two different groups as the danced , human students surrounded them in awe

"So they're putting on a show ....for what? "

" It's a feeding show to lure in their prey."

"I'm going to look for Enmei and Eros."

" Eros doesn't need your help " The blue haired boy stated. Yes he had come to earth as a member of the Affection Alliance but he was hardly ever around them.

" And you are ? " Hudson asked and when the blue haired boy didn't respond he just went to look for Enmei and Eros .

" Why do all these Aliens want to attack Earth now ? I'm sure it has something to do with Eros being here but why ?"

" The prophecy says that Eros' love will move the sun " Venus said , her voice was emotionless as if it was no big deal.

" Eros' love ? What love are we talking about? He doesn't love anyone or anything ." Hudson stated and Venus just stared at him.

"I know he hates everyone but I just keep hoping that one day someone or something can soften his heart." Venus said sadly, finally letting her emotions show.

" Remember what you told me earlier ? Eros falling in love could cause global warming for aliens, right? No wonder he hates romance. Who'd risk the whole world for love ? I've always thought he was the bad guy but apparently he just doesn't want to end the world with his emotions." Hudson stated , slapping his palm over his face in frustration. He groaned frustratedly and he started swimming away to search for Eros.

" You don't understand. He's not concerned about that. He just can't feel love." Venus explained and Hudson looked confused.

" There are sirens doing a feeding dance and you people want to talk about Eros' non existent love life ? Get the students away from the Sirens ! " The Blue haired boy shouted and both Venus and Hudson swan off to pull students away from the Siren show.

" Beautiful Audience, Come and See, Your soul and sight belongs to me. " The Siren Prince flashed a dazzling smile in the middle of his performance and many students immediately began swimming towards him.

" Where's Eros ?" Hudson asked and Venus groaned frustratedly.

" You're supposed to be saving the humans. Eros is the strongest person here and you're trying to save him ?"

Venus couldn't understand why Hudson was trying to find Eros or trying to save him at all but Hudson had a feeling that Eros needed a different type of saving.

Not the kind of saving where you'd just stop him from losing his life but the saving that could help him to start a new one.
