" Don't worry madam, she'll be fine ". One of the nurses assured Penny as she offered her a scarf to cover her body.

" Thanks " Penny replied and the nurse gave her a reassuring smile before leaving. 

She picked up her phone and intentionally switched it off, what if Elena wasn't around, that means she would have been dead too.

Devin and Jonal entered the building Seisera directed them to,it was dark but they entered anyway, they found no one in the building it was empty. that only meant they had been tricked.

" That old fool tricked us" Jonal said in anger.

" He just played with my intelligence and patience! that dog"!! Devin spoke trying to control his anger.

" what do we do"? Jonal asked and Devin kept mute for a while.

" Hold on a sec. Did he set us up"? Devin asked in disbelief. 

" How"? Jonal asked confused. 

" What if he had thought we would come here immediately and when we got here we would find the place empty and go home to take more weapons before going to him".

" Then what"? Jonal asked.

" That old dog actually sent someone to kill us, he knew we would need more bullet and where else would we go apart from home"? Devin explained. 

" So what you're saying is that there are people over at our house to kill us"?

" Affirmative " Devin responded 

" Fuck"!! Jonal cursed 

" What"? Devin asked 

" Penny is alone" Jonal said almost shouting 

" Even if we get going now, they would be gone by then and if she isn't the fighting type, she might be dead already or they took her with them" 

" I can't let that happen "!!

" Let just go over to Seisera and end this once and for all"!

" And leave Penny? dude! she's my woman "!! Jonal thundered. 

" Alright, go to Penny and I'll go to Seisera, deal"? 

 " Whatever" !!! Jonal said and rushed to his car driving off immediately. He checked his phone and saw missed calls from Penny, he tried calling back but her phone was switched off. he panicked even more as he drove on high speed. 

On getting to the Mansion, the gate was open. He rushed inside and saw drops of blood, this made his heart skipped a beat. It was around 12noon and he ran to the Panic Room and it was open, there were stairs of blood on the floor. He dialed Devin's number quickly and he picked at the first ring. 

" They were here, no sign of Penny just blood" Jonal explained almost crying. 

"Here's empty too" Devin replied. " Just hold on, I'm on my way and don't call the fucking corps" Devin warned and hung up. 

Jonal phone slipped through his hands landing on the floor, he was shaky and couldn't do anything. His phone vibrated and he quickly picked it without looking at the caller.

"Hello Penny! are you alright "? he asked immediately. 

" um. My name is Detective Nathan. I'm calling about the deceased 'Joyce Lorentz', her head has been found in a lake near the woods, it seems to have been thrown there. Could you come down to the station whenever you can ".

" um. sure. thanks ". Jonal replied. 

" Just doing my job, by the way who's Penny? is she missing "? He asked but Jonal kept mute. 

" Well? is she"? He asked again. 

" uhhh... no! bye"!! Jonal replied hanging up.

It didn't take long before Devin arrived at the mansion and met Jonal in a bad mood, "

How could someone be this stressed over a woman ". he thought. 

" Did you find her"? Jonal asked almost immediately. 

" come off it Jonal! Did you expect me to find her on the street "? Devin asked. 

" She told me man!.. she said she was scared... I shouldn't have left her without securities" 

" Well, one thing is sure, which is she ain't with them because they would have called by now".Devin said. " have you tried calling her"? he added. 

" I did, it's switched off " Jonal replied. 

" Try calling her friends or something, maybe she called any of them" Devin suggested. 

He dialed Elena's number, it rang but she didn't pick up. he tried again and again but she still didn't pick.

" Common Jonal, who's more important to you? mom? or Penny"? Devin asked. 

" They are both important to me Devin! I love Penny alot the same way i love mom and know that she's gone, she's the only woman that i know will love me the way mom did. I couldn't save mom but i won't sit here and do nothing knowing that i can still save Penny ".

" You ain't gonna find her, and if she's alive and loves you the way you claimed she would have called ".

" what if she's angry at me and doesn't want to talk to me ".

" Not now Jonal you're behaving childish" Devin complained.he was fed up of Jonal's talk and couldn't bear it again.

" she's a grown woman, she can take care of herself, Just let me breathe and enough of her I'm sick of it" Devin thundered walking inside.
