Lost between worlds

Chapter 4: New Family, New Happiness (∩o∩)♡

As Krimson settled into his new home, his step-sister Mona immediately hit it off with him. They were close in age, and Mona wasted no time in asking about Krimson's life. She quickly learned that he had connections to famous people, including Krimson's best friend, Alora.

Back at Alora's new home, things were no different. Her new mom, Mrs. Ria, was kind and supportive, while Kiki, Alora's new younger sister, made her presence known with her playful attitude.

"Damn, your boyfriend's really cool and rich like us," Kiki remarked, laughing at how perfect things seemed to be.

Alora raised an eyebrow. "What would've happened if he were poor?"

Kiki shrugged. "Mom wouldn't allow you to date him, duh."

Alora smiled, but then Kiki dropped a bombshell. "Honestly, I'm dating a rich guy, but I don't even like him. The guy I actually love isn't rich, so Mom's not happy about it. She made me break up with him."

Alora frowned, sympathy filling her heart. "Nobody should tell you who you're allowed to love."

"I know, but... I had no choice," Kiki replied, her voice filled with sadness.

Alora, always the supportive friend, gave her some advice. "Be brave. Tell your mom that you don't like your current boyfriend. The one you love might not be rich, but he's the one who makes you happy. I'm sure she'll understand."

Just as Kiki was about to reply, Mrs. Ria called for her. Kiki rushed off, returning shortly after with a brand-new MacBook.

"See? This is why I don't speak when she talks. She does everything for me," Kiki joked.

Alora smiled. "Well, I'm glad you've got the courage to stand up for yourself."

Alora pulled up her phone and texted Krimson because the advice she was giving made her know how lucky she was to have someone she loves.

While Krimson was bonding with his new sister Mona, he felt his phone buzz. He pulled it out of his pocket, seeing Alora's name flash on the screen. A grin appeared on his face as he unlocked the phone and opened the message.

Alora: Yo, I enjoyed the kiss we had earlier.

Krimson: I did too, we need to do it more, calms me down.

Alora smirked as she typed her response, knowing exactly how to tease him.

Alora: Nope🙃

Krimson: Why?😭😭😭

Alora: I don't know, just feel like saying no🤷‍♀️

Krimson: I'll get you.

Just as Krimson hit send, a new message appeared on his screen from Alora.

Alora: Wait a minute, have you texted Iris and Max?

Krimson: Nope, didn't think of that.

A little distracted, Krimson immediately sent messages to both Max and Iris.

Krimson: Yo, bro, long time.

Max: Yeah, you forgot me, I bet.

Krimson: Was just going through shit.

Max: Damn, what's up?

Krimson was about to reply when another message popped up from Iris.

Iris: Thought you were dead?

Krimson: Nah, I'm alive.

Iris: Good to hear. What kept you two offline lately?

Krimson: Long story, I'll tell you in school tomorrow.

Iris: Cool, I'm all ears…don't disappoint me.

Krimson: Don't worry.

After closing Iris's chat, Krimson turned his attention back to Max's message.

Krimson: I'll explain it to you tomorrow.

Max: Don't worry. Alora's already promised me, just now.

Krimson: Cool.

Krimson put his phone down with a content sigh, feeling relieved. He was slowly settling into this new chapter, but it was clear that some things—like his bond with Alora—would never change. who was quick to text all her friends about having Krimson as her stepbrother. Mona's friends didn't believe her at first, but when she posted selfies with Krimson, it didn't take long for the truth to spread.

One of her friends asked if Krimson and Mona would join their high school. Mona immediately got approval from her parents, who confirmed that Krimson would be attending their school. Krimson didn't love the idea of moving schools, but he agreed, still thinking about his friends, especially Alora.

After dinner that night, the whole house gathered around the table. Krimson couldn't help but take pictures of his new family, later posting them online. He was blown away by the response. It turned out Mona was a teen model, and her parents were famous supermodels too.

"How did I not know this?" Krimson thought to himself, his phone blowing up with notifications.

As the night ended and Krimson settled in his new life, he couldn't shake the feeling that his world had completely changed. Tomorrow, everything would be different.

Alora and Krimson arrived at their old school in a convoy of luxury cars, turning heads as they stepped out. Krimson's limo, sleek and black, parked with elegance, while Alora's luxurious pink jeep glided to a halt right next to it, catching the attention of the entire student body. A buzz rippled through the crowd as they realized who had just stepped out.

Max and Iris, ever the curious ones, were among the first to rush over to greet them. Before they could get close, the guards stepped in, keeping them at bay. But Krimson, ever the rebel, waved off the security guard, letting Max and Iris through. The two couldn't believe their eyes as they saw their friends stepping out of these luxurious cars.

"Damn, you guys really hit it big," Iris said, her eyes wide with surprise. "We always knew you were destined for something big, but this is next-level."

Alora laughed, shaking her head. "It's just the beginning, Iris. You should see what's coming next."

Suddenly, Mona appeared beside Max and Iris, her usual playful energy turned up a notch. "Oh my God! It's really you guys! I can't believe I'm standing here!" She almost screamed, pulling out her phone to snap a few selfies with Max and Iris.

"Wait, you guys are like... famous now, right?" Mona asked, eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Famous? Well, sort of," Max replied with a grin. "But I'm still trying to get used to it. How about you?"

"Yeah," Mona smirked. "I mean, I'm already used to the fame, but this is next-level. Alora's totally changing the game." She looked over at Alora and Krimson, giving them an exaggerated thumbs-up.

The bell rang, and they all quickly headed into the school building. As they walked through the halls, everyone stared at them, whispers echoing around the hallways. Krimson and Alora had become local legends in the span of just a few days, and now their friends were catching up.

That afternoon, after school, the group gathered at Krimson's new home. The atmosphere was alive with laughter and energy as they all sat down in the spacious living room. Krimson and Alora had already told their families a bit about how they got together, but now it was time for a more detailed retelling.

"Alright, everyone, settle in," Krimson began with a smirk, glancing at Alora. "It all started at the orphanage, where we were just two normal kids… Well, maybe not normal, but you know what I mean."

Alora rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, here we go…"

But Krimson kept going. "We both didn't want to stay at the orphanage, and we found each other in the most unexpected way. There was this spark, this undeniable connection between us. And after everything that happened… here we are." He gestured to the room, where their families were now gathered, hanging on every word.

"I remember that first day I saw Krimson," Alora added, her voice softening as she looked at him. "I was so unsure of everything.

After the whirlwind of emotions and the excitement of their new lives, Krimson couldn't stop thinking about the kiss he had shared with Alora before she left the orphanage. He had kissed her deeply, unexpectedly, and though they had parted ways soon after, the memory lingered in his mind.

Later that night, as Alora sat in her new room, she couldn't help but think about Krimson, about the kiss that had sealed everything between them in a way nothing else could. She picked up her phone, her fingers hesitating for a moment before she typed out the message.

Alora: Hey, Krimson. I've been thinking about our kiss... You know, before I left. It was kind of unexpected, but it felt... right. I'm glad we shared that moment.

She waited, her heart racing as she watched the screen. Not long after, Krimson's reply came through.

Krimson: I've been thinking about it too. Honestly, it was the last thing I expected, but it felt like everything clicked. I've never wanted something so much... It's like, no matter what happens, I know we'll be fine, as long as we're together.

Alora smiled softly, her heart fluttering. She replied quickly.

Krimson: I feel the same. It's crazy how one moment can change everything. But I know this is real, Krimson. No matter where we go, we'll always have that.

Krimson's next message came almost instantly.

Krimson: Yeah. And nothing's gonna change that. You're everything to me, Alora.

Alora's breath caught in her chest. She closed her eyes for a moment, savouring the feeling of his words. It didn't matter where they were or how much their lives had changed; their bond was unshakable.

Alora: I'm yours, Krimson. Always.

And with that, both of them fell asleep, their hearts full, knowing that no matter how the world around them shifted, they had each other, and that was enough.

Early in the morning, Kiki finished getting ready for school and approached her mom hesitantly.

"Mom, can I date the guy I was talking about with Alora yesterday?" she asked, her voice soft but laced with hope.

Her mom paused, reflecting on Krimson and Alora's story. She understood that love wasn't all about wealth—it was about connection and sincerity.

"Yes, Kiki, you can," her mom replied with a warm smile.

Kiki's face lit up like a thousand suns.

The next day was Monday and their first day at their new private school. Everyone was buzzing with excitement, especially Alora and Krimson, who were eager to meet other celebrities like Iris and Max.

"I can't wait to see Anna. It's been too fucking long!" Mona exclaimed as she helped Krimson pack his bag.

Krimson laughed, shaking his head at Mona's antics. Suddenly, his phone buzzed with a message from Alora.

Alora: "Should we organize one car to school every day since we're officially a celeb couple now?"

Krimson smirked and replied:

Krimson: "You've got a point, babe."

When Krimson asked his parents about it, they surprised him—they had already arranged it with Alora's family. A luxurious gold-and-black car was prepared just for the couple, complete with two top-notch bodyguards.

At 7:00 A.M., Krimson climbed into the car, excitement bubbling in his chest as they headed to Alora's mansion. When they arrived, Alora noticed the unfamiliar car outside. Confused, she muttered, "What the hell is this?"

Her parents appeared, grinning.

"It's your new couple's car," Mrs. Ria explained. "This is what you'll ride in until you graduate high school."

Alora tried to act indifferent, though her heart swelled with happiness. She smiled coolly. "Thanks, Mom," she said, pulling her mother into a hug.

Krimson stepped out of the car and offered his hand to Alora. She took it, and together they entered the car. Kiki, who had been watching from the side-lines, masked her emotions with a fake smile. Deep down, jealousy burned within her.

When they arrived at school, the entire student body erupted into cheers, the sight of Krimson and Alora creating a frenzy. As they walked toward the stairs, another car—a yellow Lamborghini—pulled up, and Iris and Max stepped out, adding to the chaos.

"Not these bitches again," Mia, a rival, muttered under her breath, rolling her eyes.

Meanwhile, Krimson and Alora paused to greet Iris and Max with their signature handshake before heading to class. Kiki, although pretending to be thrilled, couldn't suppress her jealousy.

Thankfully, they were all assigned to the same class. Krimson, Alora, Iris, and Max quickly impressed their teachers with their brilliance.

"Bravo! Impressive!" their math teacher exclaimed in a thick Spanish accent.

During lunch, the group sat together, laughing and enjoying their meals. Krimson gently wiped food off Alora's lips, and she returned the favour. The whole table erupted in laughter, except for Kiki. Mona, noticing her sister's unease, whispered for her to follow her to the washroom.

Inside, Kiki's façade cracked. Tears streamed down her face, smudging her mascara.

"It's okay," Mona said gently. "I know you've got a massive crush on Krimson, but you can't get in their way. They're like… superglued together."

"I don't care!" Kiki snapped, her voice shaking with frustration. "I'll find a way to make him mine. I have everything, money, status, but not him. That's not fair!"

The lunch bell rang, cutting their conversation short. Kiki reapplied her makeup and returned to class, her heart heavy but determined.

"What kept y'all so long?"

Krimson asked as Mona and Kiki finally joined him.

"We were touching up our makeup, duh,"

Mona replied instantly, flipping her hair with exaggerated sass.

"Girls,"

Krimson said, chuckling and shaking his head.

The classroom soon fell silent as their biology tutor entered.

"Bonjour, class!"

His thick French accent gave his English a distinct twist.

"Who here is Krimson, Alora, Iris, and Max?"

He squinted as he scanned the room.

The four raised their hands.

"Ah, interesting," he nodded approvingly. "I 'ave 'eard of you all... very good students, no?"

The group giggled at the compliment, but the attention stirred jealousy among their classmates, especially Mia, who had harboured a long-standing grudge against Max and Iris before they even joined the school.

Once school ended, their drivers were quick to arrive, and the group headed home.

"How was your first day at school?"

Mrs. Nancy asked Krimson with a curious smile.

"I vibed,"

Krimson replied casually, heading upstairs to his room.

He was just about to relax in his bathtub when his phone buzzed. A message from an unknown Instagram account popped up:

"I didn't want to do this to Alora, but I can't watch you get fooled anymore."

Krimson frowned, staring at the message as his heart began to race. Attached was a photo shopped picture of Alora and Max kissing.

His chest tightened. Dropping the phone on his bed, he lay down, overwhelmed with emotions.

"Krimson! Krimson!"

Mrs. Nancy called from downstairs for dinner.

"I'm not hungry!"

He yelled back, his voice cracking slightly.

Concerned, Mrs. Nancy tried to enter his room, but the door was locked. She knocked persistently before calling for her husband.

"Darling, he won't open the door!"

"Why? What's wrong?"

His stepdad asked.

"Nothing!"

Krimson called out. His parents, somewhat reassured by the sound of his voice, reluctantly returned to the dining table, but Krimson spent the night ignoring everyone, Alora included.

The next morning, Krimson emerged from his room with a cold, unreadable expression. His carefree demeanour was gone.

"What's wrong, Krimson?"

Mona asked, concerned.

"Leave me alone. Not now, Mona,"

He snapped, brushing past her.

As Mona and Kiki rode to school, Mona couldn't help but voice her concerns.

"Kiki, what did you do?"

She asked sharply.

"Nothing,"

Kiki replied with a smirk that could only be described as mischievous.

"Then why's my brother acting like this?"

Mona muttered, more to herself than anyone else.

Kiki felt a pang of guilt but also a sense of accomplishment, her plan was working.

Meanwhile, Alora and Krimson sat in tense silence during their car ride to school. Alora's attempts to break the ice were met with cold indifference. By the time they arrived, her own mood had soured. She ignored everyone, wanting only to talk to Krimson, but he wasn't ready to speak to her.

Their behaviour didn't go unnoticed. Their fans at school whispered, speculated, and even recorded videos. One clip of Krimson swerving a kiss from Alora went viral, sparking curiosity and concern online, except for Mia and Kiki, who secretly enjoyed the drama.

The tension persisted throughout the day. Krimson avoided Max's high five during biology, leaving Max visibly upset. Alora, convinced that Krimson had moved on, broke down in tears when she received a message of her own: a fake image of Krimson and Iris kissing.

At home, both Alora and Krimson's attitudes darkened. They transformed their looks, adopting edgy, rebellious styles. Krimson donned a black leather jacket, spike-studded boots, and a pale complexion, while Alora sported a purple shirt under an unbuttoned jacket, paired with a choker and black boots.

Their parents were alarmed but couldn't reason with them. The next morning, they arrived at school in separate, dramatic cars, Krimson in an all-black monster truck and Alora in a sleek purple-and-black Jeep. Their new looks became the talk of the school, quickly turning into a viral trend on social media.

However, their emotional distance lingered. Krimson occasionally spoke with Iris, fuelling Alora's doubts, while Alora's conversations with Max deepened Krimson's suspicions.

When their parents finally intervened with a family meeting, Alora and Krimson revealed the photos they had received. To their shock, both images came from the same anonymous account.

"This is insane,"

Krimson muttered.

"Someone's trying to ruin us,"

Alora whispered, tears streaming down her face.

Despite their anger and hurt, their love for each other triumphed. They apologized, promising to trust one another moving forward. Reuniting in Alora's room later, they shared a heartfelt moment.

"I'm sorry for everything, baby,"

Krimson said, wiping away her tears.

"Don't worry. Nothing can break us,"

Alora replied, pulling him into a tight embrace.

Their relationship restored, they confronted Kiki, who confessed to her role in the scheme. Mona forgave her after some stern words, and peace returned to the family.

Following their viral trend during their rough patch, Krimson and Alora found it hard to abandon their edgy new styles. The only change they made was that they began riding to school in the same car again.

On Wednesday morning, they arrived at school in Krimson's monstrous black car, creating yet another buzz. Students couldn't stop whispering about how they were suddenly back together. Fans snapped pictures of their matching aesthetics and posted them on Instagram, where the posts racked up thousands of likes.

During breakfast at school, Max couldn't help but comment.

"Damn, your styles are always on point. Your latest looks remind me of the first time we met,"

He said with a grin.

Everyone laughed, feeling the tension from previous days finally melting away.

"You two would totally kill it as models,"

Iris added enthusiastically.

That comment stuck with Krimson and Alora. By the next day, they had already signed up for modelling gigs. Thanks to Alora's connections—her family being well-established in the modelling industry—they landed opportunities almost immediately.

That afternoon, after school, they headed to a studio for their first photoshoot. The producer was blown away by their chemistry, poses, and creative fashion sense. By the end of the session, they had become his new favourites.

Back at home, Mrs. Ria and her husband couldn't have been prouder of Alora and Krimson. They were thrilled to see the two thriving and carving their paths in life. Inspired by their drive, Mrs. Nancy encouraged Krimson to try something new.

"You've got so much creativity, Krimson. Why not try music? You and Alora can do anything when you put your minds to it,"

She said, her words filled with hope.

Her encouragement resonated with Krimson, and he decided to give it a shot. He collaborated with TayDot on his first song, and to everyone's surprise, it became an instant hit. The song went viral, with people all over TikTok and other platforms creating dance challenges and covers.

Krimson's rise to fame was meteoric. With a combination of social media influence, modelling, and music, he quickly became wealthier than his own parents. Yet, despite his success, he stayed grounded, cherishing his family, friends, and, most of all, Alora.

Alora wasn't left behind either. With her growing influence as a model and content creator, she surpassed even her parents' success in the industry. Together, they were unstoppable.

Their journey wasn't without challenges, but their bond only grew stronger. They worked hard to maintain their positions, knowing that no matter how successful one becomes, there's always competition lurking.

Step by step, day by day, they completed high school alongside their siblings and friends. Graduation day came, and they crossed the stage with huge smiles on their faces.

"If fame couldn't end our friendship, and framing couldn't stop our relationship, then nothing can,"

Krimson whispered to Alora during the ceremony, making her blush.

Though it felt like the perfect ending to their high school chapter, their story was far from over. This wasn't a fairy tale with a simple "happily ever after." Life ahead was full of surprises and challenges waiting to unfold.

So, get ready. Grab your table, chair, and reading light, because Chapter 5 is just around the corner.
