With the battle over, Nuxsus decided to check what the shipment was. There was only one truck in the facility, as all the other items looked fairly normal. His curiosity piqued, he moved towards the truck, gripping the handle.

"All right, let's see what we will get! Quest completed," he spoke with a smirk as he yanked the doors open.

As soon as he did, his eyes widened at the sight before him. A large wooden cross stood inside, and nailed to it was a girl. She looked around his age, maybe younger, with long purple hair cascading down her shoulders. She was clad in purple robes, asleep yet restrained against the cross. But what caught his attention the most was the glimmering gem embedded in her forehead.

"Well... I didn't expect this, that's for sure," Nuxsus muttered, stepping closer.

Harley bounced into the truck behind him, eyes lighting up with manic curiosity. "Oh wow! This is—! Does that mean...? She was the shipment?!"

She leaned in, inspecting the girl with a tilted head. "Why though? Is she, like, special or something?"

"You're asking me as if I had the answer..." Nuxsus replied dryly, running his fingers along the strange symbols etched into the wood of the cross and the girl's robes. The markings looked eerily similar to ancient magical runes.

Suddenly, Chaos materialized, her laughter ringing through the air. "Oh wow! The gods wouldn't believe this even if I showed them! This is perfect, Nuxsus! Absolutely perfect!"

"Someone looks excited. What about this is so cool?" Harley asked, crossing her arms.

Chaos gave her a sharp glare but decided not to let Harley ruin her good mood. Instead, she floated to Nuxsus' shoulder, wrapping her arms around his neck before placing a soft kiss on his cheek. She leaned in, whispering in his ear with a sultry grin.

"Do whatever you can to corrupt this girl. Make her yours—your woman, your slave, your servant, it doesn't matter. Keep her alive and train her. Train her to obey you, to spread destruction!"

Nuxsus raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "This is interesting... You've never been this excited about anyone before. Well, other than me."

Chaos giggled. "That's because she shares similar aspects to you. You see, I have avatars in many worlds, harbingers of chaos, but I rarely pay them any mind. Eventually, they either die or foolishly convert to the forces of good or evil. This girl was meant to be an agent of light... But with your interference, she can embrace her true nature. She can become your woman! No—your little flame, just as you are to me!"

A wicked grin spread across Nuxsus' face. "I see... That explains why the system jumped at the chance to issue a mission for her, even offering a Platinum Ticket. So she's that important, huh? I like it... Let's do it. I'm going to use my vampiric powers to make her mine."

He turned to Harley. "Cut the ropes and carry her back to the car. I'm going to burn this place down."

"Why me?!" Harley whined but did as she was told, cutting the bindings and lifting the unconscious girl onto her shoulder.

With his decision made, Nuxsus used the Blades of Chaos to lit the entire place on fire

His enemies would think he burned the place to erase evidence. But the truth? He did it simply because he thought it was an annoying place.

As they returned to the apartment they had borrowed, Nuxsus sat down, watching the System Notifications appear before him.

Nuxsus smirked as he watched his Chaos Meter surge by five levels, earning him two Bronze Tickets and a Silver Ticket. Adding the Platinum Ticket, he was bound to grow even stronger.

"Now, since the Spawn is asleep… Let's see what kind of rewards I get from this Gacha this time." He pressed the Platinum Ticket option.

In his hand, a yellow, sparking fruit materialized. As he examined it, he mused, This is quite powerful… and dangerous at the same time. I need to keep the info about its weakness a complete secret until I gain more of it. This means any missions that would require me to swim are utterly canceled!

Still, with this and the Blades of Chaos… I can confirm that some of the powers I get can be granted to others… Which is good. If I gather Chaos Harbingers such as myself, I'm gonna need them to be strong.

His train of thought stopped as he rolled the Silver Ticket next.

{Shadow Step (Stealth Ability – Silver Tier)}

The user can momentarily merge with shadows, allowing them to move undetected for a short time.

While inside a shadow, they become nearly invisible, silent, and untouchable, but only in dark or shaded areas.

If the area turns bright, the user's Shadow Step is disabled.

Nuxsus nodded in satisfaction. This will always let me strike from the enemy's blind spot, though the weakness of being forced out of shadows when hit by light is a bit annoying.

Next up were the Bronze Tickets. He rolled both. The first was disappointing—Night Vision—which did nothing for him since his Vampiric Bloodline already covered that. However, the second was a gem, something he needed for his current situation.

{Dark Whisper – The ability to plant subtle suggestions into a person's mind if they are already weak or emotionally unstable. It's not true mind control, but it can influence decisions.}

A sinister grin spread across his face. Perfect. Adding this to my Vampiric Charm and pleasure-inducing bite, and I'll make both Harley and the new Chaos Spawn mine.

"Perfect. Show my stats."

As he examined his stats, Harley suddenly bounced over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Puddin'! Love love! It seems our purple guest has awakened!" she giggled.

Nuxsus raised an eyebrow before walking toward the room where the girl was kept. He stepped inside, his sharp eyes locking onto her. The girl sat on the bed, her arms slightly trembling as she gazed at him and Harley with uncertainty.

"Are… are you the ones who saved me?" she asked, her voice cautious.

Nuxsus nodded, crossing his arms. "You could say that. Call me Lord Nuxsus. This is Harley."

"Call me your Mistress Harley!" the blonde added with a haughty grin.

Nuxsus shot her a look, making her pout. "Call her Harley, or the Clowness—whatever you see fit. Now, who are you?"

The girl hesitated before softly saying, "Oh yeah… sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am… Rachel. Rachel Roth. But I'd like to be called… Raven."
