Let Us Discuss My Glorious Hell

16

Unfortunately, Doyun’s activities in Korea weren’t going smoothly. Behind this was Kim Hong-sik, Doyun’s maternal grandfather and the chairman of Aseon Industries.

Yujae had vaguely known since school days that Doyun wasn’t well-received by his family, but he hadn’t realized they would treat their only blood relative so coldly. Now Kim Hong-sik was trying to place Doyun in the owner’s seat of Aseon Industries. Whether it was an old man’s stubbornness or not, the situation was developing quite interestingly.

Kim Hong-sik had even extended his reach to his grandson’s job. Doyun didn’t seem to have noticed yet, but he would soon realize why no modeling offers had come his way in the past three months.

Not just the fashion industry, but the situation would likely be similar in broadcasting and advertising. That’s how those industries worked—it could be worse, but never better.

When things don’t go as planned, people naturally hope for a lucky break. Especially those working in the arts.

“Doyun-ah, shall I help you a bit?”

Yujae looked at the deeply sleeping Doyun with an infinitely tender gaze. He liked how the beautifully settled eyelashes trembled slightly as if responding to his words.

His eyes seemed a bit swollen, perhaps from crying throughout their lovemaking. Reddish marks remained on his tear-stained eye corners. Looking down, he noticed the love bites that had bloomed bashfully. They were more vivid than usual marks, perhaps due to his white, transparent skin.

Seeing more marks than expected, he laughed hollowly, thinking, ‘It looks like I was the one biting, not Seo Doyun.’ Yet he traced each love bite with his fingertips. With each mark he revisited, it was as if he was engraving himself on Doyun’s body. When he saw the consecutive marks he had left on the flat chest, he was filled with a strange feeling.

“This is why I never intended to sponsor anyone… But this is different from a normal sponsorship, isn’t it?”

With a forced laugh, Yujae stared intently at Doyun. Watching him sleep soundly, the heat that seemed to have subsided began to rise again.

Feeling a sudden tension below, Yujae tried to divert his attention elsewhere. Lying flat on his back, staring at the ceiling, he chuckled and reached over to the bedside table. He grabbed his carelessly placed phone and lay down facing Doyun.

Yujae texted his secretary while occasionally glancing at Doyun. When the phone vibrated with a buzz, he quickly turned off the screen.

“Mmm…”

“It’s okay, go back to sleep.”

The unexpected vibration made Doyun stir and frown as he burrowed into Yujae’s arms. Yujae expertly soothed the whimpering Doyun while bringing the phone to his ear. As soon as he answered, he heard his secretary’s voice asking what was wrong.

Though the voice was quite hoarse, as if he had just woken up, Yujae, unconcerned, replied in a monotone.

“I apologize for contacting you in the early morning, Secretary Choi. Actually, there’s something I need prepared urgently—”

While stroking Doyun’s round shoulders, he continued. After vaguely explaining the situation for a few minutes, he requested a contract.

Though nominally called an “activity support project,” it was essentially a sponsorship contract nicely packaged.

“Yes, by today… No, preferably by morning, please.”

With those words, he ended the call. By this point, even Secretary Choi must be cursing him privately. Having called because it was an urgent matter, only to have his boss bring up sponsorship from the crack of dawn—even he had to laugh at himself.

“But I’ll match any conditions you want.”

Yujae whispered softly to Doyun after tossing the phone back to the headboard. His lips, forming a gentle arc, looked quite pleased.

He doesn’t expect Doyun to sign right away. Doyun is a person with pride in his work, and he will surely express reluctance, saying it’s not an honorable method. But knowing Doyun, he will eventually accept the sponsorship, pretending to give in just to stay by his side.

It might take a little while for him to make up his mind, but that’s no big deal.

# I’ve waited ten years, and yet I can’t endure just this much?

***

A dim light spilled over his eyelids. The warm air enveloping his body felt especially noticeable today. As he nuzzled his cheek while half-asleep, he felt the distinctive slight roughness of hotel bedding. The sensation against his skin was so pleasant that he lingered in bed longer than usual.

After spending some time just crumpling the blanket, Doyun slowly lifted his eyelids. Several blurry shapes formed above his drowsy eyes. Perhaps because he had drunk quite a bit the night before, his stomach felt somewhat sour. Since it wasn’t painful enough to be uncomfortable, he just blinked his eyes and idly killed time.

Meanwhile, he heard water droplets falling from somewhere in the bathroom. Startled by another person’s presence for a moment, he soon realized he had spent the night with Han Yujae.

“…Ah.”

Doyun let out a small sigh and pulled the blanket into his arms. Even without trying to recall, the ecstatic lovemaking replayed like a movie in his mind. What was he thinking, clinging to him like that? Just imagining it made his face heat up, and he buried his face deep in the haphazardly gathered blanket.

The embarrassment wouldn’t subside, so he opened his mouth wide and silently screamed “Aaack!”

While he was making a fuss by himself…

“You’re awake.”

A gentle voice fell from above his head. Startled, he quickly looked up to see Yujae, who had approached without notice.

“Are you feeling alright?”

He asked with gently crinkled eyes. Doyun nodded as if entranced, before even checking his physical condition. However, his expression froze as his lower back sent a sharp twinge of pain. When he belatedly shook his head at the concerning reaction, Yujae wrinkled his nose as if to say he’d expected as much.

While lightly shaking his wet hair, he headed to the refrigerator. From there, he took out a hangover remedy and a bottle of water that he must have placed there earlier, then returned.

“Drink this. You don’t seem to have a hangover, but just in case.”

At those words, Doyun gave an awkward expression. Yujae twisted off the cap and brought the hangover remedy close to Doyun’s lips. Though he didn’t particularly want to drink it, Doyun slightly opened his mouth, thinking he should at least take a sip out of courtesy.

But then…

“Are you asking me to feed you?”

Yujae asked, tilting his head at an angle. Feeling a moment of regret, Doyun hastily grabbed the green bottle in front of him. However, Yujae didn’t easily hand over the bottle, and instead tapped the bottle’s mouth against Doyun’s lips before giving him an intrigued look.

Confused, Doyun blinked and slowly released the bottle.

“Give it to me, I’ll drink it myself.”

“Say ‘ah’.”

“No, I’ll just…”

“That’s enough, just open your mouth quickly. From the looks of it, you were only going to take one sip anyway.”

“…”

He couldn’t deny it. When Doyun reluctantly opened his mouth, Yujae’s hand touched below his chin. As if to prevent him from lowering his head, he caressed the round tip of his chin with his thumb and gradually poured the hangover remedy into his mouth.

When the characteristic bitter taste touched the tip of his tongue, Doyun’s face scrunched up terribly. When the liquid had filled about half his mouth, he tugged at Yujae’s robe, signaling for him to stop. However, Yujae only withdrew his hand after forcing him to drink the entire contents of the green bottle.

“Mmph…”

As soon as Yujae’s hand pulled away, Doyun covered his mouth with both hands. When he looked at him with a sulky expression, as if complaining about being force-fed, Yujae gently stroked Doyun’s cheek with the hand that had been supporting his chin.

“Well done, now drink some water.”

He said with a gentle smile, this time handing over the water. With his heart softening at the single compliment, Doyun obediently took the water and drank while keeping an eye on him.

Meanwhile, Yujae placed the empty bottle on the bedside table and tossed the towel he had been using to dry his hair into the waste bin, scoring a perfect shot.

Doyun secretly whispered “Nice shot, Director” to himself and chuckled. But when Yujae tilted his head curiously, he quickly pretended nothing had happened and changed the subject.

“Do you usually eat breakfast?”

Yujae asked while taking out a neatly folded shirt from the closet. Doyun tilted his head, wondering when he had put that there.

“I don’t particularly make a point of eating it.”

“I see.”

“…What about you, Director?”

“I usually substitute breakfast with a light cup of coffee.”

I was worried he might suggest eating breakfast together, but fortunately that won’t happen. With those final words, he turned around with a slight smile.

Planning to put on his shirt, Yujae untied the knot he had tied neatly. At the rustle of fabric, Doyun’s shoulders tensed involuntarily. Soon the thin robe slid down Yujae’s shoulders. Seeing the body he had shared the night before in the bright light, he couldn’t help but let out a gasp of admiration.

Did he feel that gaze?

“If you stare so intently, even I might feel embarrassed.”

Yujae raised his eyebrows and gave a mischievous smile as he spread out his shirt. Feeling self-conscious at those words, Doyun cleared his throat and slowly turned his head away.

Doyun remained acutely aware of him while mentally recalling that perfect body. Though he had seen countless bodies of others during his modeling work, seeing him in his underwear stirred his heart in an unusual way.

The sound of his heart beating roughly—thump, thump—disturbed his ears. Worried that Yujae might hear it, Doyun cautiously sat up with his knees raised and kept an eye on him. That didn’t last long, as the texture against his buttocks felt rougher than usual, causing him to glance down. Setting aside the reddish marks scattered here and there, the underwear that should have been visible was nowhere to be seen.

Belatedly realizing he wasn’t wearing underwear, Doyun shuddered and pulled up the blanket. Though he tried to maintain a composed expression, his already fluttering heart felt like it might jump out of his mouth.
