It could definitely become an iconic location!
"Is there anything suitable regarding the island?" Michael asked.
Clarice shook her head, "Considering the distance and convenience, there's nothing close by that would be suitable. But since we have a spaceship now, location isn't as much of an issue. There is a nice island near the west coast, though it's a bit small. It could work temporarily, but if we plan to develop it further, it might be too cramped."
"No problem. If it gets crowded, we'll just bring a few more islands over." Michael replied casually.
Bring over... more islands?
He said it so lightly, leaving the others momentarily speechless.
"You'll handle this. Secure that island on the west coast first. You don't need to go yourself—just get in touch with SHIELD and let them know I want it as a base. I believe Nick Fury will agree. And when you have time, get familiar with the spaceship's controls. The Dark Elf should be able to show you how it works. I'll be away for a few days." Michael instructed.
"Yes!" Clarice replied excitedly.
Afterward, the three of them toured the spaceship, selecting their own rooms, while Michael prepared to enter the copy world.
"System, once the second copy world is unlocked, will there be any limitations on the entry times for these dimensions?" Michael asked the system.
[Once the refresh period for a copy dimension is over, the host can re-enter. The stay duration in each dimension is limited to three days.]
The system responded.
"So every 30 days, I can enter each open copy dimension?"
"Yes!"
"Alright, then I'll open the second dimension—Green Lantern."
The second system dimension Michael chose was Green Lantern. Green Lantern is a superhero from DC Comics and a member of the Justice League. It tells the story of the "Green Lantern Corps," a group tasked with maintaining law and order across the universe. Each member possesses a magical ring that can create anything according to their willpower. Hal Jordan, originally a test pilot, is chosen by the Green Lantern ring to become a Green Lantern, protecting Earth and its people .
Michael's reason for choosing the Green Lantern worlwas to acquire the Green Lantern Ring, an item of immense power. It can create anything one can imagine, a useful ability for those with strong willpower. For Michael, though, it wasn't just the ring that drew his interest—it was the potential of the Ether particles.
With Malekith dead, Michael wasn't concerned about someone seizing his Ether particles. As for Thanos, it was uncertain when he might make an appearance. Michael could slowly absorb the particles, but the process was excruciatingly slow. Keeping them in the system's storage limited his access, while carrying them reduced his energy and combat abilities.
The solution? A container that allowed gradual absorption without hindering combat effectiveness—and the Green Lantern Ring seemed perfect for the job.
[Dimension confirmed: Green Lantern.]
The system's voice echoed, and Michael disappeared from the spaceship, entering the Green Lantern world.
---
A flash of light appeared, and the scenery around Michael changed. Before he could gather his bearings, loud music filled his ears.
The deafening sounds of music and the occasional shouts and whistles gave away his location—he was in a nightclub. Dim lighting, strobe effects, and people dancing confirmed it.
Michael hadn't expected the system to teleport him directly to a nightclub, but luckily, no one seemed to notice his sudden appearance.
"System, is there no faction selection this time? No 'Heart of Evil' or similar choices?" Michael asked, realizing he hadn't received any prompts.
"The presence of factions is random and is not available in every dimension.]
The system replied plainly.
"Got it." Michael replied, a bit disappointed.
With only three days in this dimension, he barely had enough time to acquire the Green Lantern Ring. The system wouldn't put him far from the plot, and the timeframe would likely align closely with his objective. His target was the Green Lantern Ring, which would eventually be passed to Hal Jordan, the protagonist.
Michael planned to locate Hal Jordan to confirm if he had already acquired the ring.
As he was about to leave the nightclub, he noticed someone sitting in a corner. Long brown hair, delicate features, and a captivating presence—she immediately caught his eye. Noticing she was alone, Michael decided to approach her.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked, smiling.
Carol Ferris looked up, surprised to see an Asian man here. Asians were rare in Coast City, and he had a striking appearance and a unique aura. She smiled and nodded, allowing him to sit down. Michael extended his hand, "My name's Michael."
"Carol Ferris. I've always wanted to visit Asia, but I've never had the chance." She replied with a smile.
"Asia has some of the best landscapes and food in the world. You'd be missing out if you don't go experience it someday." Michael said, signaling the bartender to bring over a few beers, "You don't mind, do you?"
"Not at all!"
Carol smiled, clinking her bottle with his before taking a sip, "Are you here in Coast City as a tourist?"
"Yes. I heard this place is beautiful, especially the people." Michael replied with a grin, "But I'm curious, a gorgeous woman like you must have plenty of admirers. Why come to a nightclub alone?"
"Maybe they just don't have the same taste as you." She teased.
"Well, in that case, I'd say they're blind." Michael exclaimed in a playful tone, making Carol laugh.
Michael's humor quickly won her over, and as they continued drinking and chatting, time slipped by effortlessly.
"It's so late already." Carol said, surprised to see it was nearly morning. She hadn't realized how long they'd been talking.
"That's a shame." Michael replied regretfully.
"Here's my number." Carol said, scribbling it down for him, "Call me sometime, and I'll show you around." Michael saved the number and called her to ensure she had his as well.
"Ready to head out? I'll walk you to your car." Michael offered as they left the nightclub together.
"Where are you staying? I could give you a ride." Carol said.
"Are you sure? You had a few drinks too." Michael said, concerned.
Carol smiled, "I'll manage, but if you're nervous, feel free to walk."
With a chuckle, Michael followed her to her car, delighted by how the night had turned out.
