Kingdom: The Black Moon Assassin

Chapter 129: Planning

Days passed, and Jun's army was mobilizing toward the cities of Wei, now under his full control, in preparation for the upcoming large-scale invasion.

For this plan, the most important woman Jun had spoken to, Yo Tan Wa, would play an extremely crucial role to ensure everything proceeded as planned.

First, they would wait for the King of Qin to grant them an official document bearing his seal, ensuring that the designated territory on the map would be theirs and would not be taken back under any circumstances.

Additionally, if for some reason the King of Qin broke his word, thousands of assassins hidden among the civilians could take his life at the most unfortunate moment.

But Jun had no concerns about this. His army's numbers had far exceeded those of many warring states, and that would soon be evident in the upcoming war.

The mountain men, led by Yo Tan Wa, had stationed themselves in the forests because they felt too wary to enter a city.

These barbaric people were calm; they hadn't caused havoc as many had expected.

Jun had anticipated this. After all, he owed it to the presence of a woman named Yo Tan Wa, feared throughout the Mountain Realms as the "Lady of Death" and revered as their queen—something no man could ever have imagined.

The Lady of Death was now knocking at the doors of the city in Wei, where Jun was recovering. She was hoping to receive good news about the treaty they had made with Qin after rejecting any form of negotiation with Ei Sei.

Jun, seated in a large hall, watched the woman as she sipped wine whose value even he didn't know. "Is it a good drink?"

"It tastes fine, but honestly, I'm not sure we can take all of Zhao in the invasion you have planned." Tan Wa knew Jun's capabilities but doubted whether it was wise to push beyond what they could be sure of, as it could be dangerous.

She was not only risking her own safety but also that of all her followers. Each tribe had sworn loyalty to her, but if her orders endangered their safety, she understood that many might begin to doubt her.

"My shadows will eliminate any obstacles along the way; our large army is only meant to subdue the nearby cities," Jun said as he struggled to drink a glass of water.

Yo Tan Wa observed all of Jun's injuries, most covered by large bandages that wrapped much of his body. There were even needles embedded in some of his muscles to release pressure.

She realized that Jun had slain the God of martial arts, claiming the title as the new God of martial arts, the youngest of all.

But now Jun looked pitiful, and if not for the immobile men behind him, Yo Tan Wa might have thought that anyone with ill intentions could kill him.

"Are you alright?"

Jun nodded slightly, set the glass of water aside, and said, "I'll be fine. But now that the King has accepted our request, we might take Zhao faster than any other warring nation."

Currently, Jun had sent his men, many of whom had thoroughly investigated the repulsive nature of the King of Zhao.

The urgency to kill that man and his entire command chain could be as simple as snapping his fingers. But the difficult part would be making the people understand that Jun was not there to enslave them but to free them from the fears that haunted them daily.

"I want to create a new China, enrich these blood-stained lands, and give all the youth a new purpose." Jun looked Yo Tan Wa straight in the eyes, wanting to know if she truly was the right person he needed.

"Do you control the information?"

Jun nodded without replying.

Yo Tan Wa nodded back and said, "Then, for now, begin spreading news about what the King of Zhao does in his palace. If we plant a seed of hatred in the hearts of Zhao's citizens, they won't suffer over their ruler's death."

If no one wants the king, everyone will more readily accept his replacement.

Jun thought this could work, so he quickly called Shen to arrange it and said, "I'll take the assassins. They are essential for taking down some troublesome soldiers."

"Do as you wish, but don't put yourself in unnecessary danger again. Remember, your life now doesn't depend solely on you," Yo Tan Wa said, hinting that Jun was very important to everyone.

No, Jun was essential to all of China.
