Higuruma had spent 12 days surrounded by darkness. Even though he claimed it was others who were unable to see anything beyond the darkness, in truth, it was he who had been trapped in an endless void all this time.

"Are you really going to abandon these people for this?!"

Opening the door, he stepped through without hesitation. "See you around."

"..." Itadori remained silent as he watched the sorcerer leave.

As much as he wanted to stop Higuruma and recruit him as an ally now, he didn't want to pressure someone who seemed so disappointed in himself.

After everything, it was natural for the man to want some time to reflect, so he decided to let him go…

But, of course, he ordered a small flying curse to follow him, so he wasn't too worried about losing track of him.

Besides, something had been troubling him ever since he entered the colony…

There were far too many curses in a single colony, even more than in a naturally cursed place that attracted them. It wasn't hard to believe Kenjaku had deliberately released them.

'I remember a massive influx of foreign soldiers will enter the colonies; this swarm of curses is probably meant to eliminate them.' Itadori sighed, raising his hand as cursed energy danced around his body. 'That damned Kenjaku thought of everything, but it's not surprising—he's been planning this for decades.'

"Dismantle."

With that word, he sent countless slashes in all directions, cutting the curses into pieces before they even realized it.

But seeing how quickly he had accumulated 50 points, he felt he couldn't complain.

In fact, he should probably thank Kenjaku for making things easier.

Megumi observed Reggie's lifeless body with a weary expression, a bit of blood dripping from a cut on his forehead.

This confused Megumi for a moment. It was a rule they had planned to create but wasn't a top priority. Seeing it added so soon made him a bit suspicious.

"But it doesn't matter. The point-sharing rule has already been created, so the biggest problem is solved." Dismissing the thought, he stepped over Reggie's body without hesitation, narrowing his eyes as he sensed cursed energy nearby.

Turning and raising his blade, Megumi immediately prepared to defend himself.

"I found…" He was surprised to see a visibly exhausted Nobara standing before him, breathing heavily. "I finally found you!"

Megumi raised an eyebrow. "You ran here?"

"I had to run away from a bunch of lunatics!" she nearly shouted, leaning against the wall to catch her breath.

"You… ran away?" Megumi blinked in surprise. He couldn't picture Nobara fleeing from a fight.

"They looked like a bunch of perverts wearing only underwear!"

"Oh, I see." Megumi nodded, understanding the situation.

"Damn it, I should've smashed all their skulls," she grumbled, wiping the sweat from her forehead as she seemed to recover. "But I guess I was too shocked to act."

Megumi agreed and, sheathing his blade into his shadow, gestured for Nobara to follow. "Anyway, a strange guy helped me deal with some reincarnated sorcerers, so I feel like the least I can do is help him."

"I think this place is full of weird people…" Nobara shook her head irritably as she quickly stepped alongside Megumi. "Did you meet up with Itadori?"

"Not yet…" Megumi replied but didn't seem perturbed. "But there's no need to worry; after all, among the three of us…

He's the strongest."

"..."

"Hey, why do I feel like I'm getting a death glare?" Nobara asked, rubbing the back of her neck, feeling as if it was burning under a piercing stare.

"Uh?" Megumi looked around, shrugging when he saw nothing.

But as the two moved through the deserted streets, they failed to notice a figure hovering just behind a building, blonde hair swaying in the wind as their eyes narrowed murderously at the pair walking side by side.

"Who is that girl?" the figure asked menacingly, a mouth opening on her cheek.

"Don't act rashly, Hana. She's an ally, and the other is your beloved, so don't do anything reckless," the mouth spoke authoritatively, quickly prompting Hana to nod in agreement…

Even as her eyes remained fixed on Nobara's neck.

"..."

On the other side of the colony, sitting on the edge of a building, a blood-covered Itadori gazed at the cityscape with narrowed eyes.

After eliminating countless curses, he had amassed over 100 points in a matter of minutes, allowing him to create the rule enabling colony exit, leaving him with 20 points.

This way, he was no longer trapped in the colony. Since Yuta and Hakari would naturally acquire the remaining points for the other rules, his involvement was no longer necessary. Megumi and Nobara were enough to maintain control over the colony.

Unfortunately, he couldn't recall the exact dates of each event, except for a few marked on the chapters. He simply didn't know when Kenjaku would attack but suspected it would coincide with the military invasion.

So, he just needed to stay alert for the day the number of players in the colonies rapidly increased.

Until then, his strength could be put to good use saving some civilians, accumulating points along the way, and assisting his comrades in other colonies.

"Kogane, which colony is Yuta Okkotsu in?" he asked, Kogane appearing with an excited aura around it.

"Yuta Okkotsu is located in the Sendai colony!"

"Alright." Itadori nodded, patting the small shikigami on the head, which seemed to excite the floating skull. "Thank you. You can go now."

As the shikigami disappeared, Itadori stood and stretched, a small, eager smile on his lips. 'Sorry, Yuta…

But I won't let you be the only one to gain some interesting techniques.'
