Is It Wrong to Abusing Cartoon Tropes in Dungeon?

Chapter 38: 38 The Final Boss!

Seventy percent of the remaining magic power in the magic stone was unleashed in a single strike, creating a massive beam of magical energy that illuminated the entire base square. Even though it was still daytime, the square was fully lit, and the shadows shifted against the sunlight.

The gigantic beam struck the center of the blood pool, obliterating the newly spawned zombie at its core.

Unlike the previous magical explosion, which used high-explosive grenades filled with fragments of magic stones, this time it was a direct bombardment of magical energy, with an immense flow of magic unleashed.

Instead of instantly releasing magic as before, this magic cannon shot would continuously emit magic for a while. The ultra-high-speed flow of magic produced effects similar to a lightsaber, with terrifyingly high temperatures resulting from the rapid friction.

Just as a lightsaber can easily melt through steel, the light cannon melted and even vaporized the heavy zombies that had emerged, including the massive flesh beneath them. The enormous beam of magical energy did not stop; as long as it could continue melting, it kept dissolving downwards.

Altair prepared to take out the giant below, unaware of how many more bodies were still hidden out of sight. Unfortunately, his position wasn't optimal. Standing at the entrance, he had some height, but it wasn't sufficient, causing an angle issue when he fired at the blood pool. The shot came down from an oblique angle rather than straight through.

This shot continuously melted downwards, evaporating the surface of the blood pool but also missing the massive creature directly below. As the gathered magic reached a certain intensity, it caused a magical explosion similar to the previous one! However, this time, the explosion was packed with a lot of heat. A gigantic sphere of light appeared in the blood pool, rapidly expanding until it exploded, transforming into a beam of light shooting into the sky.

Altair watched the massive beam before him, bracing against the powerful shockwave from the magical explosion, and smiled in satisfaction.

"This power is much greater than I expected."

After all, magic stone ammunition wasn't large, but considering that 70% of the magic power in a single magic stone was unleashed in this shot, the results were surprisingly impressive.

If using the interpretation of the moonlit world, this attack could definitely be called a full release of the Anti-City Noble Phantasm.

However, he wondered about the giant below... did it survive? An attack of this magnitude should have killed it, right?

The magical explosion combined with the heat had evaporated a significant portion of the blood pool, leaving the air thick with a crimson mist that looked quite ominous. Altair stared wide-eyed at the blood mist before him.

"There's no way it survived that, right?"

It's a well-known saying that where there's smoke, there's no injury. Though it's often a joke, sometimes it can feel eerily true, especially considering that he was currently in a fictional setting. Who knew if he might have to follow such a rule?

Boom!

Suddenly, a violent tremor shook the ground, forcing Altair, standing at the entrance, to squat down for balance. "Saeko, you'd better retreat as far as possible; something big is about to emerge!"

Altair also needed to back away. In this blood mist, he couldn't see what might be lurking below. For safety, it was best to put some distance between himself and the situation. After signaling Saeko to abandon the Humvee and create some distance, Altair immediately jumped down from the entrance and began to retreat.

Less than a second after Altair jumped down, the entrance was suddenly overturned. The ground of the base tore open, and a massive object broke through from underground, causing the entire surface to rise.

"This commotion is quite large. Just how big is this thing?"

Altair realized he had underestimated the size of the giant below. This creature was far larger than he had imagined.

The blood mist spread and thickened due to the trembling ground. Altair quickly retreated, trying to avoid the blood mist as he had no idea what hidden threats it might contain.

Once the blood mist completely dispersed, Altair finally saw what was inside. A massive body covered in blood appeared, resembling a giant pillar that burst through the ground and shot up into the sky, towering at least several dozen meters high, giving the impression of being taller than a ten-story building.

"Damn, this thing is really huge!"

Altair didn't believe this monster was only several dozen meters high; that was just the part above ground. Below the surface, there had to be an even larger body, needing a solid foundation to support such movement.

"This thing must be at least fifty meters long!"

The gigantic body was entirely blood-colored, with fresh blood continuously flowing. Its outer form resembled those zombies with only mouths and hands. At the center of its body, Altair could see a massive gash.

Indeed, there was a terrifying round wound on this giant monster, resembling a bitten apple logo. The blood trickling down was flowing from that enormous opening.

However, Altair could see that the huge gash was slowly healing. The self-healing ability was astonishing; such a large wound could heal, albeit slowly. From below, he could see that various clawed arms were growing from the gash, intertwining and fusing with the blood-colored flesh to fill the gap. Though the process was slow, that was only due to the size of the wound. In reality, the speed was remarkably fast.

Altair set down his rocket launcher and pulled out a magic stone bullet from his 4D Pocket to load it. This would serve as his primary weapon for the upcoming battle.

After loading the magic stone ammunition, the giant monster had completely repaired its body. The massive form slowly bent down, opening its head toward Altair... well, it could be called a head, as it was the highest point of its body. There were no eyes; instead, it had a gigantic mouth filled with layers of massive teeth.

"ROOOOOOAR!!!"

A deafening roar filled the air, overwhelming Altair with an unbearable stench of blood.

This was it; the BOSS had arrived!
