Inuyasha:The third sword

Chapter 116: Chapter 116:He stole me!

The deep blue of the sky can be seen from the ground, something quite rare if we consider that the Dragon Valley remains almost all year round with fog and a gloomy aura.

Even with that great change, no trace of life can be seen or noticed in the surroundings, making the place absolutely silent.

"Here they are not here, here they are not here either, did they steal me... Damn Inuyasha, damn Sesshōmaru, damn them all!"

Shouting into the air in pure fury, the young man lifts his leg and swipes at the dragon corpse on which he stands.

He may be dead, but Ryukotsusei's scales are still very tough, so feeling the pain, Asahiko's face darkens for a few seconds.

"Couldn't others have carried them?"

"Seriously, Saya... Tsk, you're such a sellout when it comes to Inu no Taisho's children. Besides looking at this place, no one would come with the remnants of this guy's negative energy."

Ready to strike Ryukotsusei's corpse again, to mark who the "Guy" is, Asahiko stops and calmly points his finger at it.

"Cof, there is no kind of preference guiding my actions. The best thing would have been to bring in young Kikyo, she can sense them."

"You think I don't try? She's too busy helping those affected by the Ryukotsusei storm."

"A truly charitable soul."

"Of course you fall asleep and she sticks an arrow in you."

Scoffing at the words coming from Saya, she looks back inside Ryukotsusei's wound where her heart used to be and Asahiko notices something strange.

It wasn't really hard to see an arrow with a white note tied to it, everything else is blood and red flesh in there, so yeah... Easy to see.

"Let's see... Hahaha... Saya, can I ask you a question?"

"Glup, sure, sure. I'm here for whatever you need."

"Well, I heard that across the ocean they eat dogs, wouldn't you know any recipes? I think burnt Inuyasha is already good, but maybe you have a sensitive palate?"

"Me, me, can you show me the letter?"

Without answering for a few moments, Asahiko simply tosses the arrow with the already seen note to Saya.

There was nothing particular about the note, there wasn't even a note as such, it was merely a few poorly drawn pictures and three fragments in the middle of them.

"I don't see what's offensive about"

"Hmm?"

"Very offensive, but let's not focus on this. We hadn't come for anything else... More important."

"I'm going to avoid pointing out how you changed the subject, but you're not without reason. Now then, about four or five scales will suffice for clothing."

Finishing speaking, he quickly withdraws Clouded Fang from its scabbard and thrusts the sword, but Asahiko remains static for a few seconds... Yeah, they're still tough.

"Well... This is going to be tough."

...Christopher/Asahiko pov…

The extraction of Ryukotsusei's scales was more difficult than expected, I'm not doing it for fun obviously, but it's time to have a good costume... At least that doesn't get shredded in every fight.

Back on topic, due to how difficult the scale removal was, it's been a few hours since I left. The only remarkable thing is that it wasn't long enough for the sun to set, so I was able to clearly notice the situation.

"Saya, Saya... Saya! Get out of there I already know that Clouded Fang is in recharge mode and you don't need to keep the seal."

"I had fallen asleep... What can I help you with?"

"Tsk, at least say it looking me in the face. Anyway, does it just seem like me or has the number of refugees increased?"

It wasn't a joke, there were certainly quite a few when I left... Ryukotsusei made a mess of things with his weather control, but not as many as now.

"That's true, plus I can feel the vitality draining faster from their bodies... They aren't hurt by the storm."

"Since when can you do that?"

"All spirits can sense people's vitality, it's what they use to know who is easier to possess"

"Rather than spirits, I'm going to start calling them colds."

Laughing rather loudly even though I know it was a very bad joke, I start walking towards the main refugee camp, which is located in the largest house in town.

Now, do I have x-ray vision? Obviously not, but it was easy to tell there are extra people when there are people lying outside, which I didn't before.

"Any idea where our guests are coming from, Kikyo?"

Ignoring the smell of blood wafting around, as well as giving a glance at the slash wounds all over their bodies, I ask the healer... Certified?

"The vast majority arrived here in a critical state, it was impossible to get information from them. Who was clearly the leader, left to speak directly to the village chief."

"So we don't know anything?"

"He was behaving erratically, looking around and muttering about going further. There's a good chance they were running away from something... Not just him though, look at those."

Following Kikyo's index finger, I notice something strange about the separation of the wounded. They are separated into groups, not small groups of family members, but small groups of acquaintances... Or companions.

"Not just one group of these arrived, there have been three since morning. It's just starting to be noticed."

"All with the same symptoms, paranoia and fear."

"Yes, they all seem to be running from something."

I knew we weren't supposed to stay here, why didn't I follow in the footsteps of Inuyasha's group, just fix the problem and leave the side effects alone, no one will know.

"Tsk, here comes another problem... Whatever, are you going to rest already?"

"I don't need to, I guess there's an unexpected advantage of this... Form."

"The question is whether you want to rest, not whether you need to. You guys can handle this, right? Perfect, I'll take it."

"They haven't answered you"

"They've done it with the look, so... Let's get going!"

Wrapping my arm around her neck in a brotherly embrace, I began to lead Kikyo to where I had left the village headman.
