In the United States As a Local Tyrant

Chapter 5: Rejected goodness

James explained that while he was still young, he wanted to explore the outside world. Having heard so much about the ups and downs of life abroad, he was eager to see it for himself.

His family supported his idea. Since he was currently unemployed, taking a trip seemed like a reasonable way to relax and broaden his horizons.

In the days that followed, life at home was peaceful. James helped his father with farm work, which wasn't too demanding. He mainly loaded grains and vegetables from the town onto farm vehicles and delivered them to nearby villages. Occasionally, they took up transportation jobs that required round trips.

Despite being a former white-collar worker, James handled farm tasks without hesitation. Having grown up helping with family work, he was no stranger to driving loaded agricultural vehicles along winding mountain roads.

His driving skills had been honed during those childhood days, making him adept at handling everything from two-wheeled motorcycles to four-wheeled tractors.

While waiting for his passport, James often wandered around the fields, checking crops and saplings on his brother-in-law's mountain farm.

As a graduate of an agricultural university, he was able to offer helpful advice to local villagers about fertilizers and farming techniques. One night, while researching fertilizers, he came across a specific formula that sparked his interest.

Excited, he got up in the middle of the night to jot down the ingredients and steps. By morning, he felt he had grasped something significant. His expertise allowed him to identify key elements quickly. James wondered if the same approach could be applied to synthetic diamonds.

He immediately began researching artificial diamond technology. Information about high-pressure and high-temperature methods, as well as advanced low-pressure techniques, flooded his mind.

While it would take an ordinary person years to understand, James's machine-enhanced brain processed it effortlessly, making him a semi-expert within a day.

Although he hadn't fully organized the information in his mind, James knew he could leverage this knowledge to study modern technology and narrow down future innovations.

While success wasn't guaranteed, the probability had significantly improved. What had once been akin to searching for a needle in a haystack now felt like waiting for the right opportunity.

His research confirmed that artificial diamond technology had advanced to the point where it could replicate natural diamonds by simulating volcanic and deep-earth conditions.

However, the diamonds he possessed were far ahead of current earth technology. No existing methods could determine whether they were man-made or naturally occurring.

James realized that mastering this technology could provide him with a steady source of income. By auctioning high-quality diamonds every few years, he could secure a luxurious lifestyle.

He had no intention of engaging in low-end markets; instead, he aimed for high-end clients who wouldn't hesitate to spend millions on unique gems.

He knew it would take time to fully develop the technology. Meanwhile, he shifted his focus back to the water-soluble fertilizer paper he had written. After several edits and reviews, he sent the paper to his old college classmate, Wang Le.

Wang Le was his only friend from his childhood, it can be said even he only became his friend because they were together ever snice they were child.

"Hey, Wang Le! Where've you been? Your brother needs you!" James messaged enthusiastically.

Wang Le's profile picture lit up, and he replied quickly, "What's up? Why are you Looking for this master?"

"I have a serious matter. Are you still in grad school?"

"Yeah, about to graduate. What's the matter?"

"I wrote a paper on a new type of water-soluble fertilizer. I heard there's a group in schoolworking on this topic. Could you pass it on to the professors?"

Wang Le accepted the document, and after about half an hour, he responded, "Wow even after graduating you can still write this thesis and I can't even understand some of the points, This looks promising!, how did you come up with this."

Looking at the massage, James smiled, he thought 'of course you won't understand, that thesis according to my estimation is at least 10 years ahead of this world Knowledge'.

James when he saw the difficulty of his families and his neighbour wanted to help his family and may be contribute to the country which raised him.

Of course, he also gave which make sense according to the latest knowledge other wise he also has knowledge about 100s of generation ahead of the knowledge he sends to his friend.

"Haha, become my disciple and i shall impart my knowledge" James replied

Wang le with humorous emoji "Haha, anyway, I'll help you submit it."

James browsed the reports of related jewellery exhibitions on the Internet, given it was marketed internationally so it was only mentioned occasionally in China.

James Googled foreign websites and finally found the reports of the auction. He was thankfully able to read the reports because of his father. And the reports and the research only released that it was as a 'surprise'.

The two pink diamonds were named "Gemini". They have been exhibited three times in a row, and they are scheduled to be auctioned in New York next week. Many wealthy people have received invitations, and the bidding intentions are very hot.

The total weight of the two giant diamonds, which can be called a miracle, is 30 carats, which is a model for collection.

.....

A few days later after applying for a password, Wang Le called back with disappointing news: "The professors rejected it."

James Feng was puzzled: "Why?"

Wang Le called later: "There also happened to be a group in the college doing research on water-soluble fertilizers. The government has already consumed a lot of funds on the project. Moreover, progress was observed so they didn't even read it and reject it. But Of course, your technique is better."

"Then why not?" James Feng was even more puzzled.

"Here, people have invested tens of millions of dollars in research results for several months, but you just spit out tens of thousands of words high advance and improved version... Moreover, With so many people in the expert team and so much money spent, they just can't accept something greater than theirs project... You should know, it's not just a technical issue."

"Is this a matter of reputation and relation?" James Feng understood.

"That's right." Wang Le said.

James Feng was at a loss for words for a while, but he still thanked his old classmate for his help: "Forget it, its their loss."

"Don't be discouraged. I have read that my friend, why don't you patent it and with the lottery money you have won, you could set up your research and make the product along with the profit?"

"Thank you for your good words!" James Feng chuckled, thinking about the experts face in the future would be satisfactory .
