In The Primal Chaos, My identity Was Exposed By The Heavens

Chapter 12 - What is a Saint? This is the Saint!

Chapter 12: What is a Saint? This is the Saint!

Although the prehistoric creatures were unaware of why Hongjun had suddenly made such a decision, as soon as this news emerged, hundreds of millions of living beings in the prehistoric world were instantly excited. Naturally gifted people were even more exhilarated, their blood boiling, and they were all greatly inspired. Many enlightened beings prostrated themselves on the ground, worshipping the heavens and expressing gratitude.

Figures like Emperor Jun, Donghuang Taiyi, Nuwa, Fuxi, and others, all of whom were innate beings, were initially astonished upon hearing the news. However, they quickly prepared to depart for Purple Heaven Palace. Regardless of why Hongjun had chosen to advance the timing of the second sermon, for the majority of the prehistoric cultivators, it was a significant opportunity.

Especially individuals like Laozi, Yuanshi, Emperor Jun, Donghuang Taiyi, and others, who had faced defeat on Mount Buzhou and had unstable Dao hearts. They were eager to enhance their strength and hoped to one day redeem their honor. Since the incident on Mount Buzhou, their reputation has plummeted. Now, everyone in the prehistoric world knew that they, the nine great Golden Immortals, couldn’t even withstand a single sword strike.

With this in mind, everyone immediately flew towards the Chaos Purple Heaven Palace. The prehistoric world was teeming with life, and countless cultivators had attained enlightenment. Their influx into the Heavenly Court’s chaotic world triggered various celestial phenomena. Purple Qi spread for millions of miles, auspicious signs appeared abundantly, and golden radiance shone brightly, creating a scene reminiscent of a glorious era in the primordial world.

The sight was grand and awe-inspiring, stirring the hearts of those who witnessed it. It was believed that if not for the chaotic winds raging during the journey to Purple Heaven Palace, which only the strongest Golden Immortals could barely overcome, even more beings would have embarked on the journey.

Meanwhile, on Kunlun Mountain, where spiritual energy abounded, and divine realms dotted the landscape, two brilliant divine rainbows suddenly shot up into the sky. The two individuals donned Taoist robes. One appeared elderly with white hair, eyebrows, and a beard, while the other was middle-aged, exuding an air of dignity. They were none other than Laozi and Yuanshi.

They both looked around Kunlun Mountain, searching for something with furrowed brows. Laozi voiced his concern about their third brother’s absence, wondering where he had gone. The impending second sermon by Hongjun required swift action, and they couldn’t afford delays.

Yuanshi, showing impatience, commented on the lack of response from their third brother, the Heavenly Lord. He expressed concern about potential losses if the absence of the Heavenly Lord disrupted their ancestor’s sermon.

Laozi, as the eldest of the Sanqing, suggested they continue searching and not wait any longer if they couldn’t find him.

Meanwhile, the Heavenly Lord was on Mount Buzhou, aware of Laozi and Yuanshi’s search for him and their intention to accompany him to Purple Heaven Palace. However, he had chosen to join Ye Xiu’s sect, focusing solely on studying the sword Dao. The profound teachings of Hongjun no longer held any interest for him.

Moreover, he couldn’t take on a second teacher since he studied under Ye Xiu. Only…

The Heavenly Lord still doesn’t know how to explain this matter to his two elder brothers.

Just when the Heavenly Lord meditated, Ye Xiu looked up at the endless sky, his starry eyes deep, as if trying to penetrate the chaotic void, overlooking the entire universe.

His lips curled slightly, and he chuckled, “The second sermon is earlier… Hongjun… Is he afraid?”

For Heavenly Lord, Hongjun’s sudden decision was amusing, and he couldn’t help but laugh.

After regaining his composure, Ye Xiu turned to the Heavenly Lord, knowing he was in a dilemma. He openly said, “I am not a narrow-minded person. You can go to Purple Heaven Palace to listen to the sermon. It can be enriching for your cultivation.”

“Master…”

Heavenly Lord was somewhat surprised by Ye Xiu’s suggestion. However, he admired his master’s open-mindedness and generosity.

Heavenly Lord couldn’t help but express his thoughts, “This world… How can there be such a perfect person?”

“What is a saint?” Ye Xiu asked.

“This is a saint!” Heavenly Lord replied.

If Ye Xiu hadn’t spoken, the Heavenly Lord might have gone to Purple Heaven Palace with Laozi and Yuanshi to listen to the sermon. After all, Hongjun’s teachings were known to be profound and could greatly benefit cultivators. But now, in Heavenly Lord’s eyes, Ye Xiu had already established a towering image in his heart. He held deep respect and admiration for his master.

In the Heavenly Lord’s heart, he thought, “I have a great teacher now. Why should I go far to seek another path?”

Heavenly Lord deeply bowed to Ye Xiu, showing his respect and appreciation, and said, “Master, your Taoism is profound and beyond measure, your wisdom is noble, and you are peerless among the heavens. My aptitude is limited, and even if I spend my whole life, I may not learn a fraction of what you know.”

“Since that’s the case, why should I leave your side and seek a path that is inferior to yours?” Heavenly Lord continued, “I’ve decided to stay by your side and wholeheartedly study the supreme swordsmanship!”

Heavenly Lord’s words came from the heart, without any flattery. Ye Xiu was momentarily surprised but then burst into laughter, deeply pleased with his disciple’s decision.

Heavenly Lord had truly won his master’s heart!
