In MHA with Sans's powers

Chapter 8: Alien Queen Awakens

[Iruma's POV]

One year.

Twelve months of school life with Astro and Mina had somehow flown by. The cafeteria, the classes, the pranks, and even the occasional scuffles felt like a blur now. Mina, who once tiptoed around these halls like a nervous kitten, had become a lioness. It wasn't just her confidence that had grown—she'd also developed a knack for comebacks and wit that even Astro and I found hard to keep up with.

And me? Well, I was still me—laid-back, charming, and, dare I say, the glue holding this dynamic trio together. Astro might argue otherwise, but that's because he's too busy being a wannabe samurai philosopher.

The Morning Chaos

The day started predictably enough: late. Astro was yelling at me to hurry up, his voice echoing through the small apartment we shared.

"Oi, Iruma! If you don't move faster, we're skipping breakfast!"

I yawned, stretching as I leaned against the doorway. "Skipping breakfast? Sounds like a you problem, Astro. I can run on vibes alone."

He groaned, rubbing his temples like he was too old for this. "This is why I have trust issues."

I grinned, grabbing my bag and tossing it over my shoulder. "Nah, you have trust issues because you keep letting me choose the lunch menu."

Astro threw a rice ball at my head, but on pure reflex caught it effortlessly, spinning it on my finger before taking a bite. "Thanks for breakfast, bro."

He muttered something about divine patience and stormed out the door. I followed, amused as always by his dramatics.

The Queen's Entrance

We made it to school just as the bell rang, dodging teachers and sliding into class with seconds to spare. During lunch, Mina joined us at our usual spot, plopping her tray down with the grace of a wrecking ball.

"Morning, Pinky," I greeted her, leaning back in my chair. "How's the queen of chaos today?"

She rolled her eyes but grinned. "Oh, you know, just spreading sunshine and rainbows wherever I go."

Astro snorted. "Sunshine? More like acid rain."

Mina stuck her tongue out at him before turning to me. "Iruma, tell Astro to stop being mean."

I smirked, tilting my head like I was deep in thought. "Hmm… Nah, I think he has a point. You're more of a 'beautiful disaster' type. But hey, disasters are memorable."

She huffed but couldn't hide her smile. "You two are the worst."

Training Grounds and Real Talk

After school, we hit the training grounds. Mina was itching to show us her progress, and Astro and I were always up for a good spar.

Mina stood in the center, her hands on her hips. "Alright, boys, prepare to be amazed."

"Wow, confidence," I teased, sitting cross-legged on a nearby rock. "Ten bucks says she slips on her own acid."

Astro chuckled. "I'm not betting against that."

Mina shot us both a glare before launching into her routine. She flipped, kicked, and fired streams of acid with precision that was undeniably impressive. I'd say she's at the level of Her canon counter part when she reached UA at the entrance Exam.

When she finished, she stood there, slightly out of breath but grinning from ear to ear. "Well? What do you think?"

Astro nodded. "Not bad."

"Not bad?" she echoed, her eyes narrowing. "That was amazing!"

I clapped slowly, the mockery in my tone unmistakable. "Bravo, Pinky. Truly a performance for the ages. I'm just glad I didn't fall asleep halfway through."

She marched over and jabbed me in the arm. "You're insufferable."

"And yet, here you are," I replied with a grin.

Astro shook his head, clearly used to our banter. "Alright, Pinky. Serious question: what's your endgame? What do you want to do with all this training?"

Her expression shifted, growing serious. "I want to be a pro hero."

The air seemed to change, her words carrying a weight that silenced even me.

"A real pro hero," she continued, her voice steady. "Not just someone who fights villains, but someone who inspires people. Someone who makes a difference."

Astro and I exchanged a look. She wasn't kidding.

"Why?" I asked, my tone softer than usual. "Why does it mean so much to you?"

She hesitated, then smiled faintly. "Because I've always been different. People see me and think 'alien,' and for a long time, I hated that. But now? I want to show them that being different is a strength."

I leaned back, a smirk creeping onto my face. "Alien, huh? Then how about this: The Alien Queen Hero: Pinky."

Astro burst out laughing. "That's perfect!"

Mina blinked, then laughed too. "You're serious?"

"Absolutely," I said. "It's unique and beautiful, just like you sister."

Heartfelt Moments

Later that evening, as we walked home, the conversation turned quieter, more reflective. Mina walked between us, her pink hair glowing faintly in the moonlight.

"Thanks for always having my back," she said suddenly, her voice soft but steady.

I glanced at her, surprised by her tone. "What brought this on?"

She shrugged, kicking at a pebble on the ground. "I just... I don't know. I feel like I wouldn't be who I am without you guys. You've been like family to me."

Astro smiled, ruffling her hair. "That's because you are family, Pinky. Whether you like it or not."

She laughed, batting his hand away. "I like it."

I stuffed my hands in my pockets, my smirk softening into something more genuine. "You're stuck with us, kid. No take-backs."

Mina grinned, but her eyes glistened with unshed tears. "Good. Because I'm not going anywhere."

As we reached Mina's house and waved her off, I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride.

Mina wasn't just some kid we'd taken under our wing. She was a force to be reckoned with—a bright, burning star destined to light up the hero world.

And Astro and I? We'd make damn sure she got there.

[Iruma's POV]

After we dropped Mina off, the streets grew quieter, lit only by flickering lanterns and the faint glow of the moon. Astro walked beside me, his usual stoic energy a little softer tonight. I was leaning back with my hands stuffed into my blazer pockets, the silence between us comfortable but ripe for conversation.

"You know," Astro started, his voice low, "she's come a long way."

I nodded, smirking. "Yeah, from the kid who couldn't even stand up for herself to someone ready to take on the world. She's got guts, I'll give her that."

"She's more than just guts," Astro countered. "She's got heart. That kind of drive doesn't come easy, especially for someone who's been through what she has."

I stopped in my tracks, turning to face him. "You're getting all sentimental on me, bro. Don't tell me you're tearing up."

He glared at me, but the corner of his mouth twitched upward. "Nah, just saying it how it is. And you—don't act like you're not proud of her too."

I raised my hands in mock surrender. "Guilty as charged. But you know me, I can't let her think I'm going soft. Gotta keep her on her pink toes."

Astro chuckled, shaking his head. "You're an idiot."

"And yet, I'm your favorite idiot," I shot back, grinning.

The Next Day: Chaos in the Cafeteria

The morning passed uneventfully—classes, homework, the usual snooze fest. But lunchtime? That was where the magic happened.

Mina had already staked out a spot for us by the time Astro and I arrived. She waved us over, her tray piled high with food that could rival a sumo wrestler's appetite.

"Pinky, are you trying to feed an army or yourself?" I teased, setting my tray down.

She stuck her tongue out at me. "Hey, training burns calories. Unlike you, I actually work hard."

"Bold words for someone who almost tripped over her acid attack last week," I retorted, earning a glare.

Astro, ever the peacekeeper, rolled his eyes and sat between us. "Can we eat one meal without you two going at it?"

Mina grinned mischievously. "But where's the fun in that?"

Before Astro could respond, a small explosion of flour erupted behind us, followed by loud laughter. Turning around, we spotted a group of first-years covered in white powder, coughing and flailing as their friends cackled.

"Another prank war?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

Mina's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Oh, we are so joining this."

Astro groaned. "Do we have to?"

I leaned in, smirking. "Come on, Astro. Where's your sense of adventure?"

---

Operation Chaos

Within minutes, we were on the battlefield—or rather, the cafeteria floor. Mina had a stash of mustard packets she'd somehow acquired, Astro had a water balloon launcher (don't ask me where he got it), and I? I had my trusty supply of mischief and magic.

The first target was an unsuspecting second-year who'd made the mistake of laughing too loud at someone else's misfortune. Mina darted past him, squeezing mustard onto his chair just as he sat down. His yell of disgust echoed through the room, and Mina's laughter was contagious.

Astro's aim with the water balloons was terrifyingly accurate, and before long, half the cafeteria was soaked.

I, of course, saved the pièce de résistance for last. With a flick of my fingers, I sent a gentle nudge of blue energy toward the principal's table, flipping his tray just as he took a bite. The stunned silence that followed was worth every detention slip I'd inevitably rack up.

Heartfelt Revelations

By the time the chaos died down, we were all out of breath, our sides aching from laughing too hard.

Sitting on the school rooftop later, Mina leaned against the railing, her face glowing with joy. "Today was perfect," she said, her voice soft.

Astro sat cross-legged nearby, his usual serious demeanor replaced by a rare, relaxed smile. "Yeah, it wasn't bad."

I stretched out, lying on the ground with my hands behind my head. "Perfect is my middle name, Pinky. Don't forget that."

She rolled her eyes but didn't argue. Instead, she turned to look at us, her expression growing serious. "You guys… I mean it. I wouldn't have made it this far without you."

Astro sat up straighter, his gaze soft. "You give yourself too little credit, Mina. We helped, sure, but you're the one who chose to grow."

She looked down, fiddling with the hem of her skirt. "Still. I'll never forget what you've done for me. And I promise I'll make you both proud."

I smirked, sitting up and resting my chin on my hand. "You already do, kid. But if you really want to impress me, try not tripping over your own feet in combat."

She threw a pebble at me, laughing through her tears. "You're impossible, Iruma."

"And yet, here we are," I replied, grinning.

The Alien Queen's Declaration

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of gold and crimson, Mina stood up, her eyes filled with determination.

"One day," she said, her voice steady and strong, "I'm going to be a hero. The best there is. And I'll make sure everyone knows that being different is a strength."

Astro nodded, his gaze unwavering. "You'll do it. I don't doubt it for a second."

I gave her a mock salute. "And when you're famous, don't forget to mention your two favorite idiots in your interviews."

She laughed, her golden eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "I won't. I promise."

As we walked home together, the night air crisp and cool, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Mina wasn't just our little sister anymore. She was a warrior in the making, a hero ready to take on the world.

Astro glanced at me, his expression thoughtful. "You think we did enough?"

I smiled, shoving my hands into my pockets. "We gave her the tools. The rest is up to her. But knowing Mina? She's gonna blow us all away."

Astro chuckled, his voice filled with quiet confidence. "Yeah. She will."

And as the three of us laughed and teased each other under the moonlight, I knew one thing for sure: Mina Ashido wasn't just aiming for the stars. She was going to own them.
