Chapter 152: Chapter 152 - Europeans in a Previous Life
Third person POV
With his task for the day finished, Samuel looked at Mrs. Gariel and asked, "So, how was it?" His client then looked at him with a smile. "Thank you so much." Russell and the others were happy that Samuel had did his job well with immediate effect. And so, with his client happy with the results, Samuel charged her 10 gold coins, 16 silver coins, or 20 copper coins for the installation, and Mrs. Gariel was more than happy to pay for it. so, she did so, and Samuel received his payment. "Thank you, ma'am. I hope you enjoy your new fixture for your home. Have a good day."
After that, Samuel and Russell, and his party left the house as the young woman said goodbye and thank you to them. Later while walking across the coastal town, Russell commented to Samuel on how he had done his job well with a hint of fantasy magic in this world.
"Yes, thank you, Mr. May," replied Samuel back positively and meekly. "My abilities allowed me to continue my profession and occupation in this world."
"Okay then," Russell responded with a quick smile, "I am a bus driver who was self-employed, so my income varies each day."
"Ah, I see. Where do you live, my good lad?"
"I lived in Fort Right, the Central Administrative Territory, in a former royal estate."
Samuel was taken aback by Russell's residence and home. "What? How did you manage to buy it?"
Russell then glanced at him. "No, the royal ruling family gave that to me for free because of my heroic deeds."
"Wow, how splendid!" Samuel became amazed by it. "How did you do all that as a bus driver?"
And then, Russell revealed to him how he had done that with his bus and abilities. A minute later, Samuel was shocked, knowing that Russell wasn't an ordinary bus driver but a brutal and powerful one. "No way, you're actually that powerful? And your Primary Novel Abilities are…Driver, Rampage, and Repairs? What is Repairs?"
"Yes, Repairs is an ability where a user can repair anything, like a bus, with his/her mana," Russell answered back while he and his group turned to the right upon entering an intersection, "but the drawback of it is that the user could get fatigue due to it consuming some mana depending on the amount of damage."
"Wow, that was a bit dangerous if the thing you're repairing is damaged beyond recognition," Samuel commented.
"Well, can be, theoretically."
A bit later, the group saw Nathan walking in the opposite direction, and Nathan saw them and was surprised by their presence. "Amigos!" the young Renad photographer greeted them in getting their attention. Russell and the others saw that and went to him, while Samuel was surprised to hear the Spanish word from Nathan.
"Hey, Nathan, how are you?" Russell asked him.
"I am doing great, amigo." Nathan smiled. "I was making good money in my photo-taking skills, as well as doing a couple of quests as a free adventurer and beast tamer."
"Wow, that's good," Azale delightfully replied back.
After that, Russell grabbed his ceramic cup from his knapsack an gave it to Nathan. "Here, from Garion City."
Nathan was taken aback by that simple, cheap cup made from ceramic. "Woah! For me?"
Russell then nodded. "Yes, for you, amigo."
Because of this, Nathan accepted it. "Gracias, amigo. This one is so cool."
"You're welcome," Russell happily responded back.
Shortly thereafter, Nathan looked at Samuel and was taken aback to see him carrying a tool box. "Woah! Wha…? Sir, are you a plumber by any chance?"
"Yes, I am," Samuel answered him back. "I am a Renad. Why?"
"I am a Renad, too."
Samuel knew that he was right. "Wow, my friend. I was British in my previous life. And you?"
"I am a Spanish," replied Nathan while his shock still didn't fade away.
Russell and his party were stunned and happy at this reunion of two people from their previous lives.
"So we're friends!" Samuel remarked in enthusiasm.
(What Samuel meant by that is that their home countries from their previous lives are friends in terms of diplomatic relations.)
"Haha, we are, amigo," Nathan replied in agreeing with him.
Later after that, Nathan took Samuel and Russell and his party to his apartment home to have some tea and snacks. There all of them had a good time, with Samuel and Nathan interacting with each other in English. Russell joined in and began speaking in English, too. Azalea and John were happy for them.
But, at the same time, back at Garion City, in Saint Tadeo Academy, Brygida was sketching something in her diary. That sketch was that of a young woman being burned alive. Then, she wrote the name of that woman: Janet. This means that she was plotting against Janet. Luckily, shortly after Brygida left her desk, Sylas saw that through an open window out of curiosity. Upon seeing that, he was shocked, knowing that someone from his race was plotting against a Renad. So, with fear and agitation written on his face, Sylas summoned his demonic wings and left the scene, wanting to warn someone about it. But why would Brygida do that?
