Chapter 91: Prologue (Volume 5)
Hello to all my dear readers, I am pleased to announce the release of this arc of the Trickster Lord novel.
This volume is special because there is a very important event here and you will find out when you see it.
It has been a while since the last volume came out, but I still want to announce that this novel will end next year, but this time it will end for the sake of finishing the story since it will have completed its cycle.
Enjoy!
The fanservice to start is for our beloved newly humanized protagonist, Kurono.

____________________
Nice to meet you, world. I'm Kurono Ichiru, a formerly normal student from Japan with brown hair and eyes.
I'm sure everyone already knows this introduction, it's the typical one from the light novels I used to read. But curiously, it's true.
I died in an accident saving a girl who, to top it off, would've ended up without a scratch, met a god who sent me to the world of an erotic game, and reincarnated me as the protagonist.
Everything normal so far, right?
Well, I'm afraid not!
That damn god reincarnated me wrong. I ended up in a cursed magic stone.
What kind of bad joke is that?!
The worst part is that I became an accessory for the generic villain of the game.
It's true, I like the guy, but I'm the protagonist, damn it!
Does anyone want to see the protagonist of their favorite game humiliated? A game or anime that dares to do that would be crucified by the otaku community worldwide.
Anyway, not everything was bad, because a few days ago something important happened to me.
What is that, you ask?
It's simple: I finally have a body!
After so many years as a stone, I can finally stretch my legs, move my arms, and use the bathroom.
Nothing comes out, unfortunately, because this body is an experiment and, while my buddy down there is present, it doesn't work.
Still, it's a perfect body.
Right now, I feel like a maiden after finding her prince charming... but without sounding weird.
"Hey, stop doing that. It's creepy" the unpleasant voice of a young man came from behind me.
I turned around, but I already knew who it was. His black hair with red tips and sharp-eyed look belonged to the villain I mentioned: Reidel Redblade, or simply Rei.
"I don't know what you're doing, but I feel like you're talking about me in your head."
"You're imagining things" I replied.
I was doing yoga poses in the vestibule where all the house servants walked by, since Rei is a noble of the Brune Kingdom and the current duke.
Enough with the introductions. I stood up after doing a split, since I enjoyed stretching my body.
Do you know how long I've been just a soul inside a stone? It's a miracle I haven't started talking to the walls.
"Finished. Let's go have breakfast."
"I've been waiting for over ten minutes."
"My bad."
I made an expression similar to anime girls apologizing, which pissed Rei off, and he kicked me.
"That's creepy, don't do it again."
"That hurt! Thank you very much!"
"..."
Due to suspicious circumstances, my cheat abilities, which brought me to this world, are divided. Meaning Rei and I can each use only half, or a bit less. Maintaining this monstrous human-shaped body consumes a lot of magical power. If my status window could work, a super exaggerated number would appear to show the magic power I have.
We also can't separate, because doing so would make Rei lose the powers I lent him, as he still holds the magic stone with me in it.
I officially live in his house as his distant cousin. His family has no idea, but they're understanding people and accepted me without hesitation.
Upon arriving at the dining room, we found the Redblade family having breakfast.
"Good morning, everyone, family!" I cheerfully greeted them as if I were Rei.
"Good morning" he said.
His parents, as usual, were lovingly having breakfast like lovebirds. The father looks just like Rei, except for his mustache and slicked-back hair. The mother, on the other hand, is a blonde beauty with blue eyes and large breasts.
I still don't know their names since I've never heard anyone call them by name, so I call them Papa Redblade and Mama Redblade.
My eyes then moved to the side, where a beautiful elf with silver hair, pink-tipped ends, and green eyes was sitting.
She is Rose, one of the heroines of the game, but now she's Rei's wife.
Naturally, the protagonist would have a harem, but since I never triggered their flags, I feel like someone who missed their chance to confess to the girl they like out of fear of rejection.
She's currently expecting Rei's child.
We sat down, and before taking a bite, Rei asked her:
"Rose, how are you feeling?"
"I'm fine. My legs hurt a bit because walking is tedious due to my condition. But the lady said I have to walk, otherwise the birth will be very painful for me."
"That's right, Rose-chan. Having a child at such a young age is troublesome, which is why you need to do all the exercise you can to build stamina and strength down there. I still remember how I nearly tore while giving birth to Rei-chan."
My spoon froze when I heard something I didn't need to know; Rei was as shocked as I was. I asked him quietly:
"How much longer?"
Rei seemed to avoid my question, but after a while, he answered.
"The doctor said at least a month; it could take more or less time. A half-breed between a human and an elf is rare for doctors. They know it's possible, but no one's seen one in years."
"I see."
I asked about a certain matter that we needed to address sooner or later:
"Rei, remember that before your child is born, we need to deal with Rose's matter."
Rose's issue is tied to her past. She was sold as a slave by her uncle, who took the throne, and Rei saved her.
He promised her he'd take revenge for her and that their child would know her home.
We've been postponing it for a while because of my obsession with the game, but I don't care about it anymore. We just need to eliminate certain problems that could affect us in the long run.
"So, when are we going?"
I wanted to know if the date was soon or if we had to wait a little longer.
Rei was silent, and then he said something odd:
"W-We'll do it in due time. Rose said she shouldn't move much, and I'll respect her decision."
Why does it seem like you're avoiding my question?
Well, I don't have much time in this body. I'd like to try a few things, like combat mode, so I'll be waiting for his answer.
But more than anything…
(The current elf king is one of the game's bosses.)
(He's not too hard with our cheat abilities. The problem is the sub-boss that appears.)
(That thing is really a pain in the ass, and there's no one but us to deal with it.)
(But with our powers split, and no longer one person fighting, it leaves us at a bit of a disadvantage.)
But this is a game, and the protagonists always magically win, right?
It would be absurd to lose when we have cheat abilities; there's no excuse.
After seeing how timidly Rei was sipping his soup, I could imagine why he was acting like a wet kitten.
"Enjoy your last moments of singlehood and no responsibilities. You won't be able to sleep or have free time anymore" it's what I remember from my past life when my little sister was born, and my parents went sleepless for nights.
Well, that doesn't matter anymore.
It's time to get ready for my first day at school in another world!
