Chapter 411: Chapter 411 You Will Die At Moses's Hands
The incident at the Museum Exchange Conference concluded.
After completing the mission and receiving his payment, Silva returned directly to Kukuroo Mountain.
As all the family members, including Illumi and Killua, happened to be present, Silva decided to inform them about two matters during dinner.
One is to avoid provoking the Phantom Troupe, and the other was to stay away from Moses.
As for the reasons, Shiba did not give too much explanation. He only complained about how this commission wasn't worth it, and he specifically reiterated to Illumi not to provoke Moses.
This was exactly why Illumi wanted to ask for more details.
However, Silva dismissed Illumi's thoughts of probing further with a strong attitude.
This was enough to make Illumi realize the gravity of the situation.
Illumi fell silent.
He could understand why his father complained about the commission not being worth it, but he didn't understand why Moses was involved.
And to make matters worse, his father had specifically warned him not to mess with Moses...
Illumi felt very unwilling.
He had originally planned to start laying out a plan against Moses after finishing Killua's training.
This was something he had been thinking about for a long, long time. He had even imagined killing Moses in front of Killua.
He believed that 'this moment' would be the final step in making Killua the perfect assassin.
But his father's sudden and serious warning had completely destroyed his plan.
Illumi remained silent and lost his appetite for a moment.
Killua lowered his head and hadn't said a word from beginning to end, but his heart was filled with curiosity.
Milluki, who was sitting next to him, was also silent, but his eyes occasionally darted towards Illumi.
'Big brother, oh, big brother, why can't you understand Dad's good intentions?'
Milluki sighed in his heart: 'This is the first time I've seen Dad complain about a commission being not worth it. Something major must have happened, and it probably has something to do with that monster.'
Milluki added in his heart, 'That's why Dad specifically warned you not to cause more trouble, big brother. Don't forget, you were beaten up by that monster twice before. If it happens again...'
Milluki took Silva's solemn warning to heart.
He had been a witness to Illumi being beaten up twice by Moses, so he was fully aware of how dangerous Moses could be.
Now that even their father acknowledged this, Milluki became even more convinced of his previous judgment.
'No matter what, we must avoid any conflict with that monster.'
'And if I unfortunately encounter him in the future, I must choose to avoid him as soon as possible.'
Milluki thought to himself.
The dinner ended.
In a room filled with all kinds of spooky objects.
The walls and even the ceiling were covered in vine-like tubes, and a large cushion was placed in front of one of the walls.
Silva sat cross-legged on the cushion, closing his eyes in meditation.
Creak-
The door was suddenly pushed open.
Killua slipped through the narrow opening and entered the room.
When Silva heard the sound, he opened his wolf-like eyes and slowly looked at Killua.
"You're here to ask about Moses, aren't you?"
"…"
Killua was momentarily stunned when Silva accurately guessed what he had come to ask.
"Um."
After a brief pause, Killua nodded in acknowledgment.
Silva didn't say anything more. He simply patted the spot next to him, motioning Killua to come and sit beside him.
Seeing this, Killua quickly walked over and sat down next to Silva.
"Dad…"
Killua turned his head to look at Silva and asked in a low voice: "Why did you suddenly warn Big brother Illumi... Did you meet Moses during this commission?"
"It's not something I can explain in just a few words."
Silva rested his right hand on his knee, staring at a distorted human sculpture not far away, and said calmly: "It's just that when I was carrying out the commission, I personally witnessed two individuals with limitless potential."
"…"
Killua's eyes widened slightly, and he stared intently at Silva's side profile.
Silva's gaze shifted from the twisted sculpture to Killua sitting next to him, then he said, "One of them is Moses. His 'potential' far exceeded my initial assessment."
Hearing Silva's high evaluation of Moses, Killua's eyes suddenly sparkled.
Noticing Killua's reaction, Silva continued in an unruffled tone: "The reason I warned Illumi is simply because I don't want to see him die at Moses's hands."
"Dad, do you really think Big brother Illumi will never be able to defeat Moses?"
Now that he understood the reason behind the 'warning', Killua asked the question he most wanted the answer to.
Silva paused at Killua's words. In his mind, he quickly recalled the terrifying golden light he had witnessed and couldn't help but think of Chrollo's book, the one capable of sealing others' Nen Abilities.
One can steal other people's Nen Abilities and use them for their own benefit, and the other can replicate other people's Nen Abilities.
Come to think of it…
One steals, one replicates.
Chrollo and Moses's abilities had striking similarities.
But Silva undoubtedly favored Moses more.
Although it was unclear how many conditions Moses needed to fulfill to replicate Netero's 100-Type Guanyin, just the sheer accuracy and power with which Moses had recreated the technique were enough to reveal his terrifying potential.
In addition, there is Moses's extraordinary speed at improving his strength.
Had Silva not witnessed it with his own eyes, it would have been hard to imagine that Moses had undergone such a tremendous transformation in just a little over a year.
'What would things look like in another two or three years?'
At this point, Silva met Killua's eyes that were eager for an answer, and said in a deep voice: "Some people are simply faster than others. Your big brother... will never catch up to Moses."
"Ah? I knew it... Moses really is incredible!"
Hearing that his father had chosen Moses over Illumi, Killua's eyes shone even brighter, and a smile slowly spread across his face.
Silva calmly watched as Killua smiled in response to his answer. Inwardly, he wondered if Illumi's strict training methods had gone too far.
However, he had already agreed to entrust Illumi fully with Killua's 'training', so even though he knew Illumi's methods had crossed a line, he couldn't intervene.
"Dad, does that mean... I can go see Moses?"
Killua looked at Silva with anticipation.
He figured that since his father held Moses in such high regard, he wouldn't stop him from seeking out Moses again.
Most importantly, this would mean Illumi wouldn't interfere anymore.
"No."
However, Silva's decisive rejection caused the smile on Killua's face to freeze.
"At least, not for now."
But Silva's follow-up statement rekindled Killua's hope.
After a while, Killua left the room and walked slowly down the corridor.
Before long, he arrived outside his own room, only to see Illumi standing with his arms crossed, leaning against the wall by the door.
"Killua, what did Dad say to you?"
Illumi turned his head to look at Killua, a dark emotion quietly brewing in his pitch-black eyes.
At this moment, Killua seemed to have found some form of support, and no longer cowered or showed fear when faced with Illumi's barely concealed Aura.
"Dad said... you'll die at Moses's hands."
Killua repeated Silva's exact words. He just omitted the significance of the 'warning'.
Hearing Killua's words, Illumi's face instantly darkened.
Not only because of the 'you'll die at Moses's hands' remark, but also because... 'Killua was beginning to resist me?!'
