ILLIMITABLE UNTIL DEATH

The next morning, Fang Li received two phone calls.

The first was from Shirayuki.

"I'm sorry, Li Kun. Today, I need to help Tamamo Sama set up a barrier around Academy Island, so I'll be taking a leave and won't be able to go to school with you. Please forgive me."

Shirayuki's tone was filled with despair as if it were the end of the world. Fang Li couldn't help but smile wryly and hurried to comfort the sobbing Shirayuki. After managing to calm her down, he finished his morning routine, grabbed his backpack, and headed out the door.

While Fang Li was on his way to Butei High, he received a second call.

It was from Jeanne.

"It's been confirmed that most of Grenada's people have left Academy Island, except for one person."

Even without Jeanne's confirmation, Fang Li could guess who that person was.

So, instead of asking Jeanne for confirmation, Fang Li continued walking and said into the phone, "Let's set aside the battle for now. Jeanne, if you're doing any espionage work, please keep an eye on Riko's movements. If you notice anything unusual, let me know."

Naturally, this request puzzled Jeanne.

"Riko? What happened?" Jeanne asked, sounding confused.

"I'm not sure what happened with her, but she seems to be preoccupied with something," Fang Li replied. "I remember Riko had some interactions with you during the I-U event, so, considering your past connection, please keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't cause trouble."

"... Understood. I'll keep an eye on Riko," Jeanne said after a moment of silence. "Also, there's something else I want to tell you."

Jeanne then continued.

"You should remember Liberty Mason, right?"

Fang Li certainly remembered.

Liberty Mason was the first faction during the Bandire event last night to declare neutrality, not joining either Deen or Grenada (servant). Moreover, Liberty Mason was quite well-known in the industry, and Fang Li was familiar with it.

Liberty Mason, also known as Freemasonry, emerged in the 18th century in the United Kingdom. It is a religiously influenced organization and is currently one of the largest secret societies in the world. 

They promote ideals of brotherhood, charity, and virtue, seeking the meaning of human existence. 

Many prominent individuals and politicians have joined this secret society, and it even had a major conflict with the Catholic Church when it was first established, leading the Pope to wage a campaign against Freemasonry that lasted over two hundred years and still persists today.

Today, Liberty Mason includes many notable individuals and politicians, and even many of the royal families and famous nobility in the United Kingdom are members of this society. Even the Royal Capital has a certain level of deference toward Liberty Mason, so Fang Li was certainly aware of it.

"What I want to tell you is about Liberty Mason," Jeanne said to Fang Li. "I should inform you that, after discussions among Deen's members, we all believe that our first priority should be to bring Liberty Mason into Deen. This is our primary strategy for the Far East Warfare."

This wasn't particularly surprising.

After all, Liberty Mason was influential and neutral. Bringing them into Deen would significantly boost their strength.

Presumably, Grenada (servant) would have similar plans.

Thus, making the recruitment of Liberty Mason a top priority wasn't unusual.

"However, based on the intelligence I've gathered, it seems that there are some people within Liberty Mason who are skeptical of Deen," Jeanne said in a hesitant tone.

"And the reason for their skepticism is likely connected to you."

This statement made Fang Li stop in his tracks.

What does this have to do with me?

"Rather, it is precisely because of you that it is highly relevant," Jeanne said, as if she had read Fang Li's mind.

"That person is currently on Academy Island."

"I believe he will be looking for you soon."

As soon as Jeanne's words fell, Fang Li noticed something.

A very luxurious sports car was driving down the road and eventually stopped right beside Fang Li, who was walking on the sidewalk.

The sports car was a convertible.

So, as soon as it stopped, the car's roof automatically retracted, exposing the interior to Fang Li's view.

Inside the car, a young man spoke to Fang Li.

"You must be the 'Gun Magician,' right?"

The speaker was a boy. A boy who looked exceptionally handsome, with a refined appearance that could make girls squeal.

He was wearing a student uniform.

But it was not Butei High's uniform.

Yet, Fang Li was certain that the person was a master.

At the very least, he was not weaker than Hysteria Mode's Tohyama Kinji.

This master was sitting in the driver's seat of the convertible sports car, with one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting on the edge of the window, smiling at Fang Li like a refined young gentleman.

The smile was incredibly refreshing.

Another factor that could make girls scream.

However, to Fang Li, this smile seemed too fake.

Because, while wearing such a smile, the boy was also subtly emitting hostility toward him, which made it clear that he was not a friendly newcomer.

Then, the boy spoke.

"The class time at Butei High is about half an hour away."

He said this with a request.

"Why don't we spend some time together before then?"

Hearing this, Fang Li did not respond immediately but looked at the boy, then lightly smiled and spoke into the phone to Jeanne.

"Sorry, Jeanne, I'll go check this out for a moment."

Jeanne, who could clearly hear the situation on the other end of the line, didn't say anything further and hung up.

Thus, Fang Li got into the passenger seat of the luxurious sports car.

The car's roof quickly retracted.

Before long, the luxurious sports car started with almost no noise and slowly drove forward.

"Well then, let me introduce myself."

The boy began speaking.

"I am an envoy of Liberty Mason."

Jeanne's guess was proven correct.

The envoy of Liberty Mason had indeed come to see Fang Li right away.

But the next part of the introduction took Fang Li by surprise.

"My name is L.L. Watson."

"Kanzaki-Holmes-Aria is my fiancée."
