ILLIMITABLE UNTIL DEATH

Chapter 714: IUD-Chapter 711 The Origins of the Four Allies

The mist began to dissipate.

It wasn't because the sea breeze had strengthened, but rather because the Bandire had ended, and there was no longer a need for the mist to exist.

Clearly, as Fang Li had sensed earlier, the mist was some kind of special superpower designed to obscure visibility, providing a place for the representatives from various global factions to meet in secret.

Now that the meeting was over, the mist naturally dispersed.

And with the dispersing mist, many of the extraordinary, non-human individuals seemed to vanish along with it, disappearing in an instant without a trace.

This included Hilda, who had been glaring at Fang Li with hostility from start to finish.

It also included Habi, who was extremely curious about Fang Li.

It included Tohyama Kana as well.

And it also included Tohyama Kinji.

As a result, when the mist had completely cleared, only five people remained at the scene.

One was Fang Li.

Another was Reki.

Another was Jeanne.

Another was Tamamo.

And another was Meiya.

The five of them were all individuals who had just sworn to join Deen during the Bandire.

Thus, Reki, Jeanne, Tamamo, and Meiya all gathered around Fang Li as the central figure.

"This is truly surprising," Jeanne said immediately.

"I thought for sure that, like previous years, there would be conflict after the Bandire ended. I didn't expect it to conclude safe and sound this time. I almost thought it was an illusion."

Tamamo agreed with Jeanne's words.

"In past Bandires, no matter which one, there was always bloodshed. I also thought there would at least be a few skirmishes." Tamamo glanced at Fang Li, patted him on the leg, and said with great satisfaction, "It seems thanks to you, the guys from Grenada (servant) didn't dare act recklessly. I'm glad we pulled you into Deen."

During the Bandire, the brief flash of power from the True Ancestor princess within Fang Li seemed to have truly frightened quite a few people.

Even though it was just a small leak of power, the might of a second-rank existence was enough to intimidate these extraordinary individuals.

That's likely why those people didn't dare make a move.

Of course, even without Arcueid's power, Fang Li still wasn't afraid of anyone present at the time.

If a fight had really broken out, Fang Li would've gladly taken down all of Grenada's people.

However, it was perfectly reasonable that Fang Li hadn't done so.

After all, the individuals present were merely representatives of various powerful factions.

The Far East War would involve factions from all over the world, not just the individuals present. Even if Fang Li had crushed all of them, it would have only provoked the wrath of the larger factions, leading them to attack with all their might. At that point, even an entire nation could be overwhelmed by a single Superhuman group.

Thus, thinking that cutting down everyone there would resolve the war was a brainless fantasy, the kind of logic you'd get from watching too many mindless action flicks.

With that in mind, Fang Li turned his attention to Tamamo and Meiya.

"Before we get to that, shouldn't you introduce yourselves?" Fang Li said. "It seems like you've done your homework on me, but I know very little about either of you."

"Is that so?" Tamamo tilted her head in slight surprise. "I thought that Shirayuki girl would've told you about these things, but it looks like you're really clueless about the Bandire."

"That's understandable," Meiya said with a smile. "Unlike us, who have forces backing us, Fang Li doesn't have anyone behind him. It's inevitable that he's lacking in information."

"Since that's the case, I'll go ahead and introduce myself." Tamamo looked at Fang Li and said, "I am Tamamo. I believe this name won't be too unfamiliar to those living in this country."

Indeed, the name was not unfamiliar.

This was the name of a Great Youkai from Japanese mythology.

Her full name was Tamamo no Mae, one of the legendary Three Great Youkai.

It was said that Tamamo no Mae was a white-faced, golden-haired, nine-tailed fox who could transform into a human form. When in human form, she was an unparalleled beauty.

Initially regarded as an evil being, one of the Three Great Youkai, she later became associated with the Vajrayana Buddhism's Dakini faith and merged with the Inari Shrine of Japanese mythology. This increased her yokai powers, eventually elevating her to the status of the Inari God, the deity responsible for harvests.

As a result, in Japan, the Inari God is generally depicted as a fox, and over time, this image also became a symbol of wealth, revered by the business and commercial sectors.

"The Tamamo no Mae you're thinking of is my ancestor. After her, all her descendants took the name Tamamo. My grandmother was Tamamo, my mother is Tamamo, so I too am Tamamo."

Tamamo explained this to Fang Li.

"Our clan has always monitored the relationship between humans and Irokane since ancient times, preventing anyone from misusing or abusing Irokane's power. Over the years, we've established numerous friendly and hostile relationships across the world. Up to the present day, because our clan is descended from the Inari God, we belong to a branch of Divine Spirits, with the Hotogi Shrine as one of our main supporters. This time, at the Bandire, I represent both my clan and the Hotogi Shrine."

This was why Tamamo had the authority to bring up Shirayuki to Fang Li.

After Tamamo's introduction, Meiya also spoke up.

"I am from the Vatican City's Exorcist division. As you can see, I'm a nun, but I'm also enrolled at Romen Butei High School, and I'm a fifth-year student in the Kanossa division there."

Fang Li understood Meiya's introduction.

As a fellow Butei, Fang Li had heard of the Kanossa division at Romen Butei High School. It was similar to the Supernatural Selective Research at Tokyo Butei High School, which trained those with supernatural abilities.

At that school, high school lasted five years, and Meiya didn't seem very old— around 18 years old.

"As for me, I believe I don't need to introduce myself," Jeanne said to Fang Li. "I am Jeanne d'Arc the 30th, and you already know this."

As for Reki, she didn't even bother speaking, merely standing silently by.

These four girls standing before Fang Li all had extraordinary backgrounds.

One represented a Divine Spirit Clan.

One was from Vatican City.

One was a representative of Daio.

And one represented Ulus.

Each of them held enough power and prestige to make a name for themselves on the world stage.

In comparison, Fang Li, who stood alone, seemed the weakest in terms of influence.

"However, compared to us, the Grenada (Servant) faction holds even more advantages in this war," Jeanne said. "In this upcoming conflict, the Grenada faction has far too many powerful enemies. If we aren't careful, we could be swallowed up instantly."

"So, I'll start by setting up a barrier around the area," Tamamo raised her hand and said. "At the very least, I'll put up a barrier to expel monsters, preventing Vampires and Oni from launching an attack."

"Since someone is handling defense, I'll focus on the offensive," Meiya immediately said. "I'm more skilled at hunting demons, so leave the matters concerning Witches to me."

The three girls quickly began discussing strategies.

Meanwhile, Reki stood quietly, her gaze focused on Fang Li.

Under Reki's watchful eyes, Fang Li raised his head and looked up at the moon in the sky.

"It seems I need to go back and talk with Aria and Shirayuki."
