Consultation with Lilith and a premonition of trouble

It has been a week since I became the young lady’s slave..

At first, I was just the person who provided her with food but despite some ups and downs, life has become more peaceful compared to the days of poverty. 

One notable event was when we started calling each other by our names, “Lilith” and “Ik-kun,” which drew both envy and jealousy from the boys in the class.

Lilith is someone who easily interacts with anyone, but she had never addressed boys by their names, let alone nicknames. 

Being called “Ik-kun” by her must have made me appear like an enemy to the boys.

Whether it’s during class or break time, I’m constantly met with intense glares that could kill with just their gaze.

Even the disdainful succubus-hating white horse seemed conflicted, but he seems to have no intention of meddling in my social circle.

Until a week ago, my position in the class was inconsequential, but the fame of being associated with the two major beauties is not something to be taken lightly. 

On one hand, I have grown closer to Lilith, but on the other hand, the distance between me and Hizuki Akatsuki-san  remains unchanged.

“How did you become friends with Hizuki-san?” I asked Lilith. 

“Eh~? We just chatted  casually about food, fashion, and various things during breaks, and before I knew it, we were friends~?”she replied with a cheerful tone. leaving me speechless.

 It feels like I’m a beginner who’s been shown a play only advanced players can pull off in a game.

Besides the difference in our communication skills, the starting points as a same-sex and opposite-sex friend were fundamentally different. 

 I wonder if there’s even 10% of it that I can reference.

“What, what~? Is Ik-kun interested in Sakuchan~?” Lilith teased, misunderstanding my question and gleamed with excitement.

“Please don’t tease me like the young lady does…” I retorted, denying any romantic interest.

Feeling slightly annoyed by her playful remark, I shared the recent happenings between Hizuki-san and me. After hearing everything,, Lilith pondered, putting her index finger on her chin, looking troubled.

 “Hmm~… I want to help Ik-kun, but even if Lilith says she trusts you, I don’t think it’ll be enough for Sakuchan to believe you, hm~” she said, offering an astute response. 

“You’re right…” I responded, acknowledging her equally valid answer.

Still, Lilith responded with a valid answer, just like the young lady.

If we were to judge our relationships based on hearsay, Hizuki wouldn’t be regarded as someone with a distrust of humans. Instead, it’s possible that being betrayed by people like that led her to lose trust in others.

“But, but! Sakuchan may seem cold, but she’s actually a good girl!,Even if you can’t become close immediately, I’ll try asking her if she could talk to Ikkun sometime to become friends!” Lilith exclaimed enthusiastically.

“Ha ha, thanks. I’m glad to have a friend like you,” I replied with a smile, appreciating her support.

Lilith’s encouragement was sincere, and I found myself genuinely wanting to build a good rapport with Hizuki, even if becoming close friends might not happen right away.

Things may not have progressed to a clear friendship yet, but I want to build a good relationship with Hizuki as a colleague.

 Without much time to lighten the mood, we arrived at the Scarlet Duke’s mansion.

There’s no passage other than the main gate to the Scarlet Duke’s secondary residence.

 If you try to climb over the six-meter-high wall, magic is activated to counter any intrusion. 

Even the main gate can only be opened with the key given by the young lady; it’s otherwise impossible.

Lilith mentioned that the chef, Mr. Jajimu, was the one who designed these security measures. I can’t help but admire the elder lich’s expertise in magic.

Suddenly, we noticed a limousine parked in front of the mansion. I remembered riding in that car on the day when the young lady bought it and asked Lilith about it.

“Hey, Lilith. Is the young lady going somewhere today?”

“Hmm~ I don’t think she had any plans…”

As we talked, someone got out of the car.

It was an adult woman wearing a dress. Her golden hair glimmered like the sun, and her deep crimson eyes sparkled with a graceful smile. Her slender figure exuded elegance that could be mistaken for the moon. She possessed a breathtaking beauty that captivated all eyes.

Enchanted by the allure of an adult, which both Hizuki and Lilith lacked, I—

“That person is the madam!”

“Huh?”

Lilith’s shout brought me back to my senses.

Wait, what did she just call her?

[“ Madam… The young lady’s mother!?”]

Oh my goodness! Vampires may look young, but that’s more like calling her an older sister rather than her mother!

 Women all over the world would be envious.

Caught up in the shock, I noticed that she had noticed our presence. 

She quickly approached us, exchanging hugs with Lilith as if they were closer than just mistress and servant.

“It’s been a while, Lilith-chan. You’ve become even cuter, haven’t you?”

“Hehe, thank you very much. You seem to be doing well too, ma’am.”

The familiarity that they shared felt more like a family than a master and servant. Is this the influence of the young lady’s easygoing household, or is it more like her mother?

Well, I prefer this warm and friendly atmosphere over strict formalities and hierarchy.

As I pondered, the mistress released Lilith from the hug and turned her gaze towards me.

With a hint of nervousness, I answered while being called by a nickname. Sensing my tension, the mistress chuckled gracefully.

“Nice to meet you──I’m Silvinia Luna Scarlet. The Duchess and Elina-chan’s mom. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”

“Pleased to meet you too…” I replied 

I could hardly manage to reply to her introduction. Somehow, I have a feeling that a troublesome matter has arrived in the guise of a beautiful woman. I hope it’s just my overthinking…
