I, The Aeon of Trailblaze, Trailblazing the Multiverse

Chapter 8: Saeko Busujima: Superman or God?

March 7th blinked at Elias's words, then planted her hands on her hips with a wide grin.

"New companions! That's great! Finally, I won't be the youngest on the train anymore. I'll get to be a senior now, haha!"

Himeko and Welt, seeing her boundless enthusiasm and carefree demeanor, couldn't help but smile as well.

March 7th bounded forward in excitement, her steps almost a dance. "Alright, new world—no, the Earth Hero Squad, let's roll out!"

Himeko chuckled lightly. "A moment ago, she was lamenting, and now she's bursting with anticipation. Ah, to be so carefree."

[Pom-Pom will now initiate ground transport.]

As Pom-Pom's announcement ended, a blue network of circuit-like light enveloped the group like a shimmering screen.

[Transporting to the closest point on the planet's surface.]

In an instant, the four were engulfed by the light and vanished.

...

"Highschool of the Dead..."

Elias's figure disappeared from the observation car at the same moment.

The disparity between "worlds" was astonishingly vast.

As soon as the Astral Express entered this world, the Path of Trailblaze had already claimed the entire planet.

Wherever a Path extended, Imaginary Energy naturally followed.

Now, the entire galaxy was saturated with Imaginary Energy, brimming to capacity.

Elias could almost hear the metaphorical cries of the world beneath him: "I can't take any more!" "Really, I can't handle this!"

As a Superconcept God with a natural state of Supergalactic and a Path Magnitude reaching Low Universe, his arrival had inherently elevated this ordinary world.

Even without the Path of Trailblaze, the sheer overflow of Imaginary Energy had already transformed this physical world into a pseudo-magical realm.

Imaginary Energy, after all, was the all-encompassing building block of universes.

In terms of cultivation tropes, it would be akin to primordial chaos energy—though reality was far less exaggerated.

Where the Path stretched, the Aeon's domain followed.

Just as the Aeon of Remembrance, had their Eden of Blessed Insight, Elias's Trailblaze Realm had similarly taken root here.

Meanwhile, Earth's atmosphere was saturated with a deadly virus.

This virus was Pandora's Box—an invention born from humanity's greed for immortality. A laboratory accident had released it into the atmosphere, and within hours, it had infected the entire planet.

Humans exposed to the virus turned into Zombies within minutes—mindless, flesh-hungry beings with no consciousness.

In just a few hours, 60% of the global population had succumbed, and the infection rate continued to climb.

Those bitten by Zombies became infected within seconds, perpetuating the cycle of destruction.

Centuries of human-built modern order collapsed in an instant, plunging cities into chaos.

The air was filled with the cacophony of an apocalypse:

"AAAAHHH! It hurts! What's happening? What's wrong with you?!"

"Don't come near me! Stay away! AAAAAHHHH!"

"Why?! How can this be happening? It's like Resident Evil come to life!"

"Damn it! Start the car! Move!"

"We're stuck! The car in front exploded! Damn it!"

"Open the door and run for it!"

"Mommy! Mommy, where are you? Wuu…"

Black smoke billowed from skyscrapers as scenes of doomsday horror unfolded.

The four members of the train crew materialized on the rooftop of a tall skyscraper.

March 7th widened her pink-blue eyes and shivered involuntarily.

"This really is the end of the world. It's just like that movie I saw on that one planet… What was it called? Oh, right, Gene Crisis or something like that…"

She turned to Welt, her voice laced with nervousness. "Uncle Yang, how are we supposed to save the world?"

Welt, ever calm and composed, analyzed the situation for a moment. "This is clearly a biological apocalypse scenario."

"A virus created unintentionally by greedy human elites in their pursuit of immortality."

"In this situation, the four of us alone can't solve everything. The most critical step is to organize survivors and establish a new order."

"Simultaneously, we need to develop a globally distributed antidote."

"I'll work on developing the antidote with Himeko. Dealing with a virus of this caliber isn't particularly difficult."

As Welt spoke, his tone carried the unshakable confidence of someone who had led humanity against far greater threats. As the former Herrscher of Reason, ex-leader of Anti-Entropy, and a man who had been instrumental in humanity's fight against Honkai, Welt Yang's ability to plan and act decisively far outstripped any ordinary human on this Earth.

Within seconds, he had formulated a strategy perfectly tailored to the current crisis.

March 7th clapped enthusiastically, her face lighting up. "Uncle Yang is so awesome, as always! Reliable and amazing!"

Himeko, whose leadership skills were equally formidable, turned to Dan Heng.

"Dan Heng, with your abilities, can you eliminate the Zombies while ensuring the safety of most survivors?"

Dan Heng considered for a moment, glancing at the chaos below. He nodded. "If I push myself, I can clear an entire city of Zombies in a short time."

He hesitated slightly but added, "Though I'd have to use my Draconic Power to make it happen."

Using that power, he estimated that he could clear the Zombies from a city in less than a day.

Welt gave him a brief, approving nod. While Welt didn't fully understand the nature of Dan Heng's hidden power, he trusted his capabilities.

"Since that's settled, let's start with the school over there," Welt said, pointing toward a distant campus.

"Protecting students comes first. They represent the strongest seeds for rebuilding civilization."

Dan Heng nodded. "Understood. I'm on it."

Without further ado, Dan Heng vanished, a teal blur streaking toward the school. As he leapt through the air, a long spear materialized in his hand. He swung it in a wide arc as he whispered:

"The truth of life and death, revealed in an instant."

In an instant, imaginary energy transformed into a gale-force slash that tore through the Zombies lining the streets below.

The sound was like a blade cutting through silk—a sharp, clean swish. Within seconds, hundreds of meters of road were cleared of Zombies, their bodies shredded and reduced to ash by the storm of teal energy.

On the rooftop, Welt began his own assault.

"Gravity Rays!"

Crimson-black beams of gravitational energy shot from the rooftop toward the surrounding streets, ripping through hordes of Zombies with devastating precision. The beams disintegrated the creatures on contact, leaving nothing but gray dust in their wake.

Some of the rays swept across the Fujimi Academy grounds, where students fleeing the school building stopped in stunned disbelief, their terror giving way to awe.

Among them, Saeko Busujima, panting from exertion, stood frozen as she stared upward.

In the skies above, a figure seemed to dance mid-air, wielding a spear and summoning teal wind-like energy that obliterated Zombies in droves.

Nearby, on a distant skyscraper, another figure stood with a cane in hand, conjuring what looked like a black hole that consumed everything in its path.

"Is that… a superman?" Saeko murmured, her voice trembling with disbelief. "Or… a god?"
