I Don't Need To Log Out

Chapter 242: Level 200 (2)

Arlon's sword cut through the 200th monster's chest, its thick, armored hide splitting apart under the force of Aetherion's Edge.

The beast let out a strangled, guttural cry before collapsing onto the stone floor with a heavy thud. Its body twitched for a brief moment before finally going still.

Arlon exhaled, his breath steady despite the exhaustion creeping into his muscles.

The battlefield was eerily quiet now.

The last enemy had fallen.

[Time Remaining: 0:05:12]

Of course, Arlon wasn't dangerously close to failing the challenge.

Even though the remaining time was only five minutes, this was because Arlon didn't use all his trump cards.

He had some dangerous moves and some okay-to-use moves. But he didn't use them.

The reason behind the dangerous ones was obvious, but for the others, it wasn't that he had limited uses.

It was mostly because this Tower was the only source of training left for Arlon.

When he was out, there wouldn't be monsters around the same level as him.

No, except for a few Trionians and Asef, there wouldn't be anyone who could stand against him.

If he could become level 300, even Zephyrion or the Demons wouldn't be able to stand against him.

The ones he was thinking of were firstly Asef, and then, he was also curious about Charon.

Since he had learned that Charon could ascend if he hadn't been cursed, Arlon had been wondering what Charon's level was.

So, he wanted to train his swordsmanship and spells, create more opportunities to fuse abilities, and learn to counterattack more range of motions.

Even if he had used his trump cards, the fight would have ended around the 2.30-hour mark anyway.

While he was thinking that, a familiar chime echoed in his mind.

[Floor 52, Level 2 – Cleared.]

But Arlon barely paid attention to that notification.

Because two more appeared immediately after.

The first was exactly what he had been waiting for.

[You have leveled up!]

Arlon's eyes widened, his fingers gripping Aetherion's Edge a little tighter.

It took a moment for the realization to truly hit him.

Level 200.

His lips curled into a grin.

He had done it.

The monsters below level 250 would be nothing now.

Even if he wasn't an existence level above them yet, the strength difference between 199 and 200 was incomparable.

It wasn't just about stats—existence level was everything.

Up until now, these creatures had been dangerous.

Even though he was winning, he had been fighting at his limit, and a mistake could have been costly.

But now?

Now, they were just… experience points.

He exhaled slowly, letting the satisfaction wash over him for a moment before moving on to the next notification.

The second one was different.

It reminded him of something.

[Congratulations! You are the first to reach level 200. More existences will know your name.]

Arlon frowned slightly.

More existences?

His mind immediately flashed back to the notification he had received when he first reached level 100.

[Congratulations! You are the first to reach level 100. Most of the Trionians will know your name, but all the Keldars will also know your name.]

That was what it had said.

But now, it was different.

Why?

At level 100, it had specified Trionians and Keldars. But now, it was just… more existences.

The wording was vague.

Why not specify who would know his name this time?

Was it because he had already surpassed what Trionians and Keldars could comprehend?

Or was it something else?

He wasn't sure.

But it didn't matter.

Because when he reached level 100, something else had happened.

Arlon's fingers curled slightly.

Back then, he had blacked out.

That was when he met Karmel—the ascended existence who had granted Trion magic and swordsmanship through a wish.

If it happened at level 100…

Would it happen again at level 200?

Arlon let out a slow breath before sitting down on the cold stone floor.

If he was going to black out again, he'd rather be sitting than collapsing onto the ground like last time.

But minutes passed.

Nothing happened.

He sighed, shaking his head as he pushed himself back to his feet.

So that was just a one-time thing, huh?

Well, no point in dwelling on it.

He rolled his shoulders, a smirk creeping onto his lips.

"Let's try the next level."

The notification appeared before him.

[Floor 52, Level 3 will begin when the challenger is ready. Do you wish to start?]

Without hesitation, Arlon selected Yes.

The moment he did, they arrived.

Three hundred monsters.

They materialized in an instant, their forms solidifying from the Tower's eerie energy.

Each one radiated power.

[Level 205 – 207]

S-level existences.

But Arlon only smirked.

If this had been before…

If this had been five minutes ago…

This would have been a real challenge.

But now?

Now, these monsters were just another step forward.

He lifted Aetherion's Edge, mana surging through his veins as he prepared to attack.

This time, he wasn't going to fight them one by one.

This time, he was going to test something new.

Another fused ability.

Arlon exhaled, channeling his mana into his blade.

He called forth wind-type magic together with Mana Sword, an ability he had learned from one of the academy students.

Aetherion's Edge glowed, blue and gray energy shifting as the two forces intertwined.

The wind roared around him, swirling and condensing into dozens of razor-sharp blades.

A storm of mana-forged swords formed in the air, circling him like a hurricane.

Arlon's smirk widened.

This was his new ability.

Sword Hurricane.

With a single motion, he unleashed it.

The mana swords tore through the battlefield, cutting into the monsters before they could react.

Twenty fell instantly.

Of course, it wasn't enough to wipe them all out.

Even if he had reached level 250, that wouldn't have been possible.

These enemies weren't low-level monsters anymore.

They weren't creatures he could just erase with one spell.

They were S-level existences.

But that was fine.

Because before this he had to fight them all individually.

Now, he didn't.

Now, he was faster. Stronger.

Now, he could cut through them like butter.

His stats were already at the level of 300.

Of course, that was only in terms of stats.

Existence level was another thing entirely.

Still, he killed them.

All of the 299 monsters died in 45 minutes.

The only one remaining was the boss at level 210.

Arlon thought that it was inconsistent that this floor' boss was weaker than the last floor's.

But even if 300 Kurget was here, he could still win in an hour or so.
