Chapter 1015
<1015 – Eastern Chronicles (14)>
The hole created by Oknodie leading to Hell and the birth of the Magical Territory Literal.
And from that Literal emerged the High Level Spirit Lifeform Mini Noddy series.
Those who witnessed the calamity brought about by their contracts included elite warriors from the investigation team, elite strong individuals, and even the wizards hiding behind the scenes, all of whom were filled with fear.
None among them could escape the pressure exerted by this city and the Mini Noddies.
Sadi and Sing.
The two, observing them through numerous terminals planted throughout the city, thought so.
Until they faced the Rank 2 wizard of the Alliance of Necromancers, the Gold Dragon Sorcerer.
< Breath Hold >
< Origin Concealment >
Sadi and Sing instinctively tried to hide their presence and eliminate any signs of themselves.
They planned to buy some time to escape the sight of a dangerous opponent and think of a counter-strategy.
However, the Gold Dragon Sorcerer’s gaze followed the two of them perfectly as they moved through different angles and dimensions.
< Mirror Reflecting the Target >
The magical power-filled mirror perfectly captured their figures.
“Wriggling around, are we? How cute. If I scared you, I apologize. You seem to have been quite frightened, but I have no intent to harm you.”
Sadi does not trust human words.
She believes in the inner thoughts read through the terminals.
Sadi, having burrowed into the Gold Dragon Sorcerer’s body, was quite flustered.
The memories that should be stored within a person throughout a lifetime, along with the images linked to each moment, were in an incomprehensible form.
Since birth, they struggled in pain at every moment, suffering until death in despair.
Countless forms of death layered upon one another in different ways.
If this isn’t Hell of humanity, then there’s simply no other place in the world that could be called Hell.
The intensity of pain inflicted by the terminal burrowing into those images was equally strong.
However, Sadi did not back down.
“Psychic defense magic. Quite a fun prank, isn’t it? The spell of <Spider> that tames and dominates all those who have burrowed in poorly with pain, or perhaps devours them?”
As a growth-type Undead, she had already experienced numerous forms of death and distorted images in Sadako’s Catacombs.
The imagery of the Gold Dragon Sorcerer felt like a cozy space she had known from the Catacombs.
“Indeed. In this world, plenty of prey is tangled in my web, and the energy transmitted to me along the strands always strengthens me.”
“What desire drives such a well-off immortal wizard like you to seek out the Magical Territory?”
“Well, though they may be inferior beings, it’s quite a problem that the prey caught in my web keeps dying on me.”
The Gold Dragon Sorcerer’s strongest warriors, whom she would call her subordinates, came from the weakest faction of the investigation team.
Yet she referred to her prey, which Sadi realized was not the investigation team she brought with her.
“Lower-ranked wizards and their investigation team. So all of them were your prey?”
It was astonishing.
The Alliance of Necromancers was a secret organization formed when numerous wizards gathered and combined their strengths, yet the second-in-command of the organization was treating the rest as a type of terminal!
Just as Sadi commands the
“Yes. So, shall we make a deal?”
“A deal? With those Mini Noddies who are practically dying to meet me?”
“Heh heh. Quite the mischievous remark. Making deals with spirits of destruction that annihilate all contractors? That sort of thing can never be a proper transaction from the start!”
The feelings that spirits take on are the most significant emotions held by those individuals.
Once taken away, ruin is assured.
However, from Sadi’s perspective, it made one chuckle to consider what trust she could have in a contract with herself being better than one with the Mini Noddies.
“Do you think a contract with me would be safe?”
“Not easy, indeed. But isn’t it all a matter of how the deal is made?”
“That’s true. Let’s hear what you have to offer.”
“An dark spirit. Hand one over to me, and in exchange, I will give you all my ‘prey’.”
An absurdly ludicrous contract condition appeared.
Sadi felt for an unusual moment that she was at a disadvantage against someone whose notion exceeded normal comprehension.
This feeling, aside from Oknodie, Jibsa Jang Okashii-ne, Omoshiroi Principal, Professor Sadako, the Director of the Foundation, the giant jellyfish from another dimension, and the flying spaghetti Outsider, was her first ever.
Though she wasn’t sure about the significance of adding so many exceptions at the beginning.
“Are you an idiot?”
“Such harsh words.”
“There are worse things in the world than idiots. In fact, I’d say I’ve been very lenient!”
“Wouldn’t it be a good deal? One being and all my prey. Once you see how many I have, you’ll understand.”
“Let’s hear it, then. Just how many?”
The Gold Dragon Sorcerer confidently began to unfold the list of prey she commanded.
“Seventeen humans.”
“That’s all?”
“A billion.”
“…A billion?”
“Three billion eight hundred sixty-nine million seven hundred fifty-five thousand.”
My brain short-circuited.
An incomprehensible unit.
It was fair enough to feel dizzy.
“Every human in the Eastern Empire. All humans are my prey.”
“That’s ridiculous.”
“It’s true. This land was woven from my ‘web’.”
Sadi watched as the scenery of the Gold Dragon Sorcerer’s imagery world she had understood crumbled.
What unfolded beyond that was an even more vast quantity of imagery wrapped in countless cocoons.
The entirety of the Gold Dragon Sorcerer.
What she had thought was a considerable scale of imagery was countless, to the point of being innumerable.
If all beings trapped in the cocoons of this vast space are the deaths of humans, existing as fertile images through death, then you could say this imagery world is,
“It’s like the history of humanity.”
“Good insight.”
“How long have you gathered these
“For a long, long time.”
“…Why hasn’t someone like you become a god? With this many people, if they united their hearts and emotions, they could aim for a high god, or even beyond that.”
Human faith holds power.
A high-dimensional status that steps into the realm of the mind and soul.
In that distant upper realm, a new divinity could sprout in the celestial paradise.
Enough quantities to challenge the mainstream 24 divine classes, and enough to rise to the very apex of the 24 gods simultaneously.
“The reason… is simple. I haven’t consumed them.”
“Why not?”
“To grow even more.”
Like a man before a beauty, the Gold Dragon Sorcerer’s face reddened as he drooled.
“Seventeen billion is tasty, but think about how delicious it would be if it grew to a hundred billion. Beyond occupying the deepest throne of Hell, I think there’s nothing to fear in the three thousand worlds.”
It’s insanity.
Her patience too.
Even the grand scheme.
Sadi felt an overpowering sense of fear that made her feel like she would go crazy.
So much fear that one Mini Noddy peeked its head out in response.
“Older sister’s friend. That feeling, could you give it to me if you have any left?”
“Just in time. You’ve come right to me. If we trade, I’d prefer ‘that’.”
Absurdity reached its peak.
The situation was entirely beyond Sadi’s control.
An unidentified wizard, the Gold Dragon Sorcerer.
A dark elemental spirit that takes emotions as commodities.
Purple Mini Noddy.
Both were overwhelming.
Yet, because she had experienced such overwhelming opponents more than a few times thanks to Oknodie, she didn’t freeze in fear from the same terror.
Having already faced a similarly desperate gap before, she quickly broke free from the same fear.
“Is one Mini Noddy more precious than that ‘all’?”
“Of course. That’s merely a ‘fragment’.”
“A fragment?”
“If you control the entire Eastern human race with your magic and breed them, you know, the scale of the magic would increase. Naturally, you’d start looking at ‘bigger things’.”
“Can something so small have anything that big?”
“It does. Calamity. Misfortune. Those kinds of things, but beyond that, fragments of destruction. If you can handle it, you could break and invade any divine paradise.”
Sadi was an adept of black magic dealing with human souls.
She had half stepped into the realm of wizards.
Thus, the Gold Dragon Sorcerer’s words naturally made sense.
The Gold Dragon Sorcerer was aiming for a ‘higher stage’.
The 1.7 billion human beings.
In exchange for the magical ownership of that, she would use the Mini Noddy as a key to break open the bellies of the massive gods holding even greater prey.
“That’s a rather sweet contract, but it’s impossible. I don’t have ownership of the Mini Noddies.”
“Well then, let me tell you how to gain ownership. It’s simple enough. If you interfere with the ‘heart’ you possess and allow the contracted
As soon as the Mini Noddy covets the emotions of the countless humans in the Eastern Region and accepts the contract, the greedy Mini Noddy’s soul is dominated and becomes the key to dividing the gods.
In exchange, Sadi Chocolate, who obtains the seventeen billion humans, has nothing to fear from the contract.
The more hearts she commands, the more superior her processing capabilities become, and she could exhibit more diverse talents.
Her growth accelerates exponentially.
Perhaps she could even aim beyond Oknodie.
“I’ll refuse.”
“Oh dear. Why have you made such a foolish decision? I thought the terms were favorable.”
“I can’t handle that many terminals. To manage them, I would have to shed the human form and take on a much larger form. I don’t want to become an ugly being that only seeks efficiency.”
If Sadi were to dominate 1.7 billion human beings, she would have to mutate her soul into a grotesque form, like a monster.
That was her first reason for disliking it.
“I don’t have a web. Unlike terminals, prey can be freed over time. It would be foolish to trade for things that I can’t even keep and that disappear at their own will.”
Trading for the sand from a beach that will wash away with the tide would leave her with nothing as time passes.
That was her second reasoning.
“No matter how many living beings I command, it’s still just a petty power compared to the gods of Hell who command all the dead. Do you think I could possibly lack the number of souls of the eternally dead as an ‘Undead’?”
Seventeen billion.
A large number for the living, but not for the dead.
In the world, countless lives are born and die.
Over long ages.
Dying, dying, and dying again.
How many souls of the departed have accumulated like that?
At least beyond a hundred million.
That was her third reasoning.
“So, I don’t want that.”
“I see. Then die.”
As the Gold Dragon Sorcerer’s imagery distorted, numerous forms of death surged toward Sadi.
