*Third Person POV*
It had been a week since Victor's visit. Aspen and Ghost were heading out of the simulator pod and making their way up on the elevator. As they were doing so, Aspen checked his system. He had earned some more rewards for leveling up his Pilot Level and they were quite generous.
Originally, leveling up one's pilot level was, and still is quite an arduous and tedious journey. However, Aspen had lucked out when he got the Quad Simulator Pod as a reward, one that pretty much expedited the way to the top ranks. Aspen had yet to collect the rewards the system had given him for leveling up.
So he opened up his system panel and went to the rewards section which displayed rewards for 8 missions, 3 of them for leveling up and the other 5 were for the lasting effects he had left on the worlds of the simulations.
He clicked on the rewards for leveling up his pilot level.
Congratulations on becoming an Epsilon Tier Pilot! Welcome to the journey, you'll need a mech to fit your new role now.
Reward: 1x Mech shop redeem Voucher (Tier 1)
Congratulations on becoming a Delta Tier Pilot! You've officially stepped into your destiny!
Reward: Mech Engineering for Dummies book x1.
Congratulations on becoming a Gamma Tier Pilot! It's about time you upgrade your Mech and get some company!
Rewards: 1x Mech shop redeem Voucher (Tier 3), x1 Lead Mech Engineer Summon Voucher, x1 Lead Mech Researcher Summon Voucher.
Aspen's eyebrows raised as they reached the garage level, which caught Ghost's attention.
"What's wrong?" Ghost asked.
Aspen just shook his head and said "Nothing, just got something interesting."
Aspen decided to open the other rewards he had obtained from his feats in the simulations as they walked to the MRAP.
You scrapped parts from different mechs and managed to make a new functioning and better-performing mech!
Reward: Fully Automated Mech Factory with a warehouse fully stocked with materials. 50,000,000 Credits (Galaxy currency)
You have created a brand new code for a mech!
Rewards: Mech Coding for Dummies book x1, 10,000 CSP
You were the symbol of hope for the liberation of a planet against an oppressive corporation!
Reward: Crew Summon voucher x3.
…
Aspen looked over his rewards as Ghost drove them outside of the city and in the direction of a mountain range that was 1400 km west of the city in the middle of nowhere, yet on the side of a major trading route used by the megacities of Kloln, Chart, Dedrift, and the major megacity of Ciolla, the capital of this planet.
It was a location that was perfectly spread out and allowed for easy movement between cities. It was 1200 km from Ciolla, 1600 km from Dedrift, and 1100 km from Chart. Aspen hadn't expected to receive money, a factory, and a major HQ as rewards for his actions in the alternate worlds (Simulations).
He had looked at his bank account and confirmed that the money had actually been deposited from an anonymous source, though one that appeared to be respected by the bank since he didn't have his money seized or his account frozen.
Aspen was planning on expanding like crazy with his new resources. He had already decided to design and create a new mech that would outperform even the Reaper class mechs for a price that would be around the price of a Sentinel.
He was planning on placing the Major HQ in the mountain range as it would be his new base of operations and use it as the face of the mech manufacturer he was planning to register and have the mech factory right by it, all the while being hiding in the mountain range, making it a tough place to attack in case his true identity and his true purpose in this universe were ever exposed.
(In other words, the MC will maintain the Azrael persona while in public, but on the battlefield he will only be Reaper, maintaining a certain veil over the Azrael Persona.)
Getting a manufacturing license would cost 30 million credits and a license to sell would be another 15 million, leaving him 5 million to with as he pleases. He would use the advantage of owning a mech factory to order materials he would use to make the Eternium Nova reactor. Not only that, he can even expand his new growing control over energy, shit, maybe even have a city by the balls as he holds its energy grid in the balance.
A smile started to creep on Aspen's face as he started to think about how he would become a business magnate.
Ghost noticed the smile on Aspen's face and a chill ran down his spine. 'I had a feeling someone from another world wouldn't be right in their head,' Ghost thought to himself.
It took them about 4 hours of flying down the major, 20-lane, "highway" to reach their destination. Once they got near the mountains, there was a paved exit that led to a dirt road that dissolved into a jungle the more one drove. It got to the point where driving was impossible so Aspen and Ghost exited their MRAP.
"Guess we're going to have to hike the rest of the way," Aspen said as he stretched his legs.
"Remind me once again, just why in the hell are we walking into the middle of nowhere?" Ghost asked as he grabbed his DMR and tossed Aspen his.
"For the view," Aspen responded, to which Ghost just gave a deadpan stare. "I'm messing with you man, but you'll see."
Ghost grunted at this, "I'd rather know before I see."
Aspen smiled at Ghost as he looked at the description of the mech factory and the HQ.
Automated Mech Factory (Mega-Industrial Type): 15 km squared at the surface, 60 km squared per floor below ground. 20 Subterranean levels. It is fully automated with only the need of a lead engineer and a lead researcher to oversee operation. High defensive measures, when under siege, this HQ transforms into an impenetrable fortress as long as there is energy to supply its shields or is attacked by weapons of similar destruction to that of a Destroyer's main battery.
Major HQ (Disguised Top-tier Military Facility): 20 km squared at the surface, 30 km squared per floor below ground. 15 Subterranean levels. With extreme defensive measures, under a siege, this HQ transforms into an impenetrable fortress as long as there is energy to supply its shields or is attacked by weapons of similar destruction to a Battleship's main battery. Comes with a full-fledged military force of 100 Gamma Tier Mech Pilots that are completely loyal to the Host and 100 Tier 3 mechs. As it is meant to act as a covert base, it also has a board of 12 Beta Tier Pilots acting as directors who answer directly to the Host with high levels of intelligence and experience in business dealings and running a company.
"Don't worry, it'll be worth the hike and hassle," Aspen said as he smiled and started his way into the mountain range.
---
Aspen and Ghost hiked for 3 days, covering 80 km a day, 240 km in total. Once they reached a valley that was perfectly surrounded and from which nothing would be seen from the major highway, Aspen sat down.
"So, did we just come all the way out here to sight-see?" Ghost asked, reaching the limit of his patience.
"You know, back in my universe we have a saying, 'Patience is a virtue'," Aspen briefly paused as he looked Ghost up and down, "You definitely have no fucking patience."
After saying that, Aspen opened up his System inventory and selected the HQ. In his eyes, a cyan grid appeared on the landscape to the left of the Valley. He selected 'place' but was prompted to give the HQ a name before Placing.
Aspen thought for a second before saying, "Azrael Vanguard Industries," and immediately the base materialized breaking the landscape. It was perfectly placed into the side of the mountain.
Aspen looked back at Ghost only to see him staring slack-jawed at the giant disguised military HQ. It appeared to be a futuristic corporate campus. Surface-level structures featuring sleek glass towers, landscaped courtyards, and automated vehicles, hiding the true nature of the facility. Water that was never there before now flowed from the facility.
Aspen didn't let Ghost catch his breath as he repeated the action with the Factory, placing it right across from the HQ. It materialized and along with it, a bridge appeared out of thin air, connecting the two, a faint orange tint of light illuminated the factory.

Ghost just looked back and forth from the factory to the HQ, wondering just how in hell any of this was possible. His train of thought was only interrupted by Aspen's chuckling as he said "See, I told you it would be worth it."
After placing both down, Aspen got a prompt from the system telling him to choose what mechs he wanted for the defense of the HQ. He could only select mechs that existed and were in his system shop. He decided on 40 Reapers, 10 Sentinels, 10 Void Sentinels, 20 Vipers, 5 Warlocks, 5 Ghosts, and 10 Parallaxes, all Tier 3.
Once he confirmed his selection, the 100 mechs along with their pilots inside of them materialized by the entrance of the HQ that was built into the side of the mountain. They all bore the same fresh-off-the-line silver shine of unpainted metal.
Right after they materialized, another 12 mechs materialized along with them. These mechs were slightly taller and of tier 4. 3 of them were Reapers, 3 of them Ghosts, 3 of them Parallaxes, and 3 Void Sentinels. These mechs all bore an iridescent purple paint scheme and were the board of directors who were also Beta Tier Pilots.
Aspen smiled at the sight, turning to Ghost and saying, "I think it's about time we meet some of our new subordinates and compatriots who will be fighting alongside us in the future."
Ghost simply nodded, "Yeah, no kidding man, I-I'm pretty sure we can… you know?"
Aspen understood pretty well just what Ghost was talking about, "Get our revenge?"
Ghost nodded as he chuckled, "Look at you hitting the nail on the head."
Aspen too chuckled at this as he started walking in the direction of the HQ. Along with the creation of the new facilities, a 6-lane road that appeared to be made of very strong metal grates had also been materialized and the two were now walking on it.
But it didn't take long before two of the purple iridescent mechs, 2 Reapers, landed just 20 meters from the both of them, causing a gust of wind to hit Aspen and Ghost. After landing, the 2 mechs kneeled and their cockpits promptly opened.
Out of the one on the left climbed out a man in his 30s of Japanese descent with purple eyes and black hair. He had a stubble and his hair was tied back in a tight ponytail. He was dressed in a black suit with a purple button-up shirt that matched his eyes and a black tie. He had a purple Katana tied to his waist and excluded an aura of honor.
Out of the mech on the right climbed out a woman in her 30s with an uncanny resemblance to the man. She had purple eyes, black wavy hair that was tied into a low ponytail, and was dressed in a black suit with a purple blouse that matched her eyes. She too, had a katana tied to her waist, though her katana was white and purple.
The man was the first to speak as he climbed down to the ground and knelt in front of Aspen, "I am Takeshi Kurosawa, the leader of the Violet Cadavers, at the behest of your command."
(Image Here)
The woman followed the man's actions and knelt too, speaking after him, "I am Takara Kurosawa, the leader of the White Fangs, at the behest of your command."

Takeshi and Takara remained kneeling before Aspen, their heads bowed low in deference. The wind from the valley rustled their hair and clothes, yet neither moved until Aspen broke the silence.
"Stand," Aspen commanded, his earlier demeanor shifting to one of a seasoned veteran. The two rose smoothly and Takara's eyes locked onto Aspen's, a glimmer of determination shining within them. "Explain, why were you two the only ones to take initiative and come to me?"
"Although we are part of the Twelve," Takeshi spoke, his Japanese accent bearing a certain charisma, "the others defer to us. Not out of fear, but respect. Takara and I have proven ourselves and thought it to be best if we were the first to come to you and introduce ourselves."
Takara nodded, "Though we know our way around business, we are more oriented towards warfare. My order, the White Fangs, specializes in swift and decisive destruction. I lead 20 reapers, all 20 of our vipers, 8 Parallaxes, and 2 Warlocks. We tend to strike where the enemy is weakest, dismantling their strength before they realize what has happened."
As soon as Takara finished, Takeshi continued, "The Violet Cadavers, my order, handles the full frontal assaults. It is made up of the rest of our forces, the 5 Ghosts are my scouts, and the 20 Reapers along with the 10 Sentinels and Void Sentinels are my main attack force with 3 Warlocks at my disposal and 2 Parallaxes to keep overwatch of the battlefield. The other 10 directors are less focused on battling, yet are formidable pilots themselves. They can join either one of our strike forces if it is absolutely necessary, apart from that, they remain the face and forefront of the company. We engage the enemy head-on, breaking their lines and drawing their attention, ensuring there is no escape." He straightened slightly, pride evident in his posture.
Aspen regarded them both carefully, their conviction unmistakable. He turned to Ghost, who looked as though he were still processing the surreal events unfolding before him, and then turned back to Takeshi and Takara, "I'm pleased with your explanation."
Takeshi gestured toward their mechs, the iridescent Reapers towering above them. "Allow us to escort you to the headquarters. It is only fitting that we deliver you to your command."
Without waiting for a reply, both Takeshi and Takara ascended back into their cockpits. The cockpits were sealed with a hiss, and the mechs shifted slightly as their pilots took control. The massive hands of the mechs extended toward Aspen and Ghost, palms open and inviting.
"You've got to be kidding me," Ghost muttered as he reluctantly climbed onto Takara's mech hand, his DMR slung over his shoulder. Aspen, on the other hand, stepped onto Takeshi's mech hand with calm confidence and a smile on his face.
The mechs' palms closed just enough to secure their passengers, and with a sudden burst of energy, the mechs boosted into the air. The valley below blurred as the jets carried them swiftly to the front of the HQ.
As they landed in front of the main entrance, a sea of mechs and personnel awaited them. The 100 freshly materialized Tier 3 mechs stood in perfect formation, their pilots standing at attention beside them. At the forefront were the other 10 members of the Twelve, their iridescent mechs gleaming in the sunlight.
The moment Takeshi and Takara's mechs touched down, every individual present dropped to one knee, heads bowed in unison. Aspen and Ghost stepped down from the mechs' palms and Aspen swept over the crowd.
"We swear our allegiance to you, Reaper of God," Takeshi declared, his voice carrying over the assembly. The title echoed through the ranks as every pilot and mech operator repeated it, their voices a unified chorus.
"Reaper of God!"
Aspen smirked but said nothing, his attention fixed on the scene before him. Takara stepped forward, her katana gleaming in the sunlight as she unsheathed it and held it horizontally before Aspen.
"This facility, this army, and these lives are yours to command," she said solemnly. "Lead us, and we will follow you to the ends of the galaxy."
Takeshi followed suit, drawing his own katana and mirroring Takara's gesture. "Your will is our law. Your enemies are our enemies. Say the word, and we shall act."
Aspen stepped forward, placing a hand on the flat of each blade. His voice was calm but carried an undeniable authority. "All of you, rise to your feet."
The assembly obeyed as one, the sound of hundreds of boots and mech servos echoing through the valley. Takeshi and Takara sheathed their blades and stood beside Aspen, their expressions resolute.
Aspen stood tall, his gaze sweeping over the assembled soldiers, pilots, and towering mechs. The mountain wind rustled through his hair as his voice rang out with calm conviction, carrying to every ear and every soul in the valley.
"You call me the Reaper of God," Aspen began, his tone measured but commanding. "And so I am. But know this, each of you who stands before me today, who has pledged your allegiance, is no less a reaper of God's justice than I am. Together, we are His hand, His blade, and His shield."
The crowd remained silent, their attention riveted on him, their breathing almost synchronized as they hung onto his every word.
"This universe has lost its way," Aspen continued, his voice intensifying. "It is choked by the corruption of greed, poisoned by the oppression of the innocent, and damned by the abandonment of the One True God. Those who hold power use it to enslave, to destroy, and to devour. They crush the lives of billions under their boots without remorse, without purpose beyond their insatiable hunger."
He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "But we will not stand by and watch. No, we will cut through the darkness with the scythe of justice, severing the chains that bind the weak and restoring balance to a fractured existence. This...this is just the beginning."
Aspen gestured to the facilities behind him, the gleaming facade of Azrael Vanguard Industries, a fortress disguised as a corporate giant. "This will be our face to the universe. AVI will serve as the key to every corner of existence, granting us access to the heart of the beast. Through trade, technology, and innovation, we will infiltrate every world, every city, every stronghold. And when the time is right, we will strike."
The gathered soldiers and mech pilots murmured in approval, their fervor growing.
"We will build mechs that will reshape battlefields. We will create energy systems that will power nations. But beneath it all, our true purpose will remain: to eradicate the cancer of evil and tyranny that has plagued this universe for far too long. To bring justice where there is none and hope where it has been forgotten."
Aspen stepped forward, his voice now a roar that echoed through the valley and resonated within the hearts of his followers. "And through our actions, we will remind this universe of the One True God! A God of justice, of righteousness, of truth! Those who have strayed will see the error of their ways, and those who resist to keep their way…will face the judgment they deserve!"
He raised his hand and clenched it into a fist, causing the crowd to erupt into a cheer. The sound of voices, metal, and engines filled the valley like a thunderous storm.
"You are my reapers," Aspen declared, his eyes burning with a fervent light. "And together, we will harvest a new era—a universe cleansed of oppression, corruption, and despair. This is my mission… and now it is yours. This is our destiny."
Takeshi and Takara stood beside him, their expressions fierce with pride and resolve. They both drew their katanas once more, raising them high into the air. "For the Reaper of God!" they shouted in unison.
The crowd repeated the chant, voices united as they raised their weapons and mechs in salute. "For the Reaper of God! For justice! For the True God!"
Aspen lowered his hand, and the cheers subsided, though the fire in their hearts remained undiminished. "Now," he said, his voice returning to its calm, steady cadence, "we have much work to do. Each of you has a role to play. I have a few things to take care of and until then, things will remain as they are with Takeshi and Takara leading you all. Follow their orders as you would my own."
He turned back toward the HQ, the massive structure gleaming in the sunlight. "This is the first step. Prepare yourselves, for the road ahead will not be easy. But remember: we are not alone. We walk this path with purpose, with faith, and with the strength of the One True God."
Aspen began walking toward the HQ, flanked by Takeshi and Takara. Ghost followed a few steps behind, his expression a mix of awe and disbelief.
As the crowd dispersed to their respective duties, Ghost finally spoke. "You know," he said, trying to sound casual, "you've got a hell of a way with words. That speech…might actually make me believe you've got a chance at changing this universe after we take care of Ajax."
Aspen smirked but didn't stop walking. "We're not here to try, Ghost. We're here to succeed."
Ghost chuckled softly. "Right. Reapers of God, huh? Guess I better start brushing up on my prayers."
Aspen glanced over his shoulder, a glint of amusement in his eyes. He then opened up the system shop and looked at his balance of 736,432 CSP he had accumulated from the "simulation" rewards. He bought a Holy Bible that was titled "Holy Bible for the Chosen" which cost him 1,000 CSP, dropping his balance to 735,432 CSP.
This one, unlike his White and Cherry red one, was decorated in White and Gold instead, and it had a certain condition. It would cause major resistance the closer one's hand got to it. Unless one was truly trying to find God, to follow Him from the bottom of their heart, they wouldn't be able to touch it. But once they did, they would surely not leave His path.
The Bible materialized in his hand and Aspen held it in front of Ghost, "This is the word of God, in it, there are many men like you and I. The prophet Isaiah, for example, was a man with a sharp tongue, yet the Lord used him for great things. If you are able to take this from my hands, it is yours to keep."
Ghost's smile faded from his face, "Here we go with you and your God's bullshit." Despite his words, Ghost reached for the Bible. He felt an extreme force pushing back against his hand and he used his other hand to try to reach the Bible. But no matter how hard he tried, his hand could not touch it.
Ghost's face turned into one of sadness as he sighed, "Yeah, as I had said before, he wouldn't accept someone like me. I'm not even worthy of this so-called forgiveness of His." Ghost went to smack Aspen's hand away and his hand somehow brushed against the Bible, and as if it was a magnet, it stuck to his right hand.
A searing and burning sensation, unlike anything he had ever felt, coursed through Ghost's arm as the Bible shone. Ghost gripped his arm with his other hand and screamed in pain. This pain was worse than when Aspen had injected him with that body-enhancing serum. He ground his teeth until he blacked out and the Bible in his hand disappeared, the tattoo of a cross appearing on the back of his hand.
Aspen smiled at the sight, "Like I told you, the more you run from Him, the more you are called to Him."
