I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 414: They Must All Die Here!

Bolin Kingdom,

After Lis brought Angela back to the inn, due to Angela's "excellent" performance, he fulfilled his promise and cooked her a delicious meal.

Not long after their return, Augustus also came back from Kate Castle and even made a special effort to thank Lis for his encouragement.

Although they did not go into detail about his conversation with Marquis Kate, the relaxed smile on Augustus's face showed that he had resolved his inner conflicts.

As for whether Augustus would be recognized by the Kate Family again, Lis didn't care,

It was enough for Lis that they had the Kate Family's assistance in this mission; their strength and wealth held no allure for him.

In the following days, Lis busied himself in Kate City.

...

Meanwhile,

Bolin Kingdom, Langlu City,

Under the dim candlelight, a gaunt figure led by a scantily clad beautiful girl pushed open the thick wooden door and entered the room.

"Haha, welcome, my friend Andre!"

"What brings you here today?"

A sinister laugh echoed with the flicker of the candlelight.

A pale-faced man, looking like a specter, sat on a blood-red throne, smiling at Andre.

He beckoned, and the girl who had led Andre in trembled, hurried forward, and lay in the man's arms like an obedient kitten.

"Of course, there's a matter, Devitt!"

Andre's voice was somewhat heavy, and he was not in high spirits.

If it hadn't been for the curse Lis had placed on him, he wouldn't have been so desperate to scour the Bolin Kingdom searching for his kin.

Although they were both Gold Level vampires, there was no strict hierarchy or organized structure between them.

Their interactions were more about mutual support and lending a hand in times of danger.

After all, with the vampires' strength, it was easy to operate in the shadows, but overt warfare was a completely different story.

However, this also made it convenient for Andre to locate those vampires as per Angela and Lis's instructions.

He had exerted all his strength to travel quickly; otherwise, his complexion wouldn't be this ghastly.

"So, spill it, what do you want from me?"

"I don't believe you, dark and cowardly as you are, would pay me a visit without significant reason."

Gold Rank vampire Devitt held the slender girl close to his chest, his right hand boldly reaching into her clothes and kneading without any reservation, as he asked nonchalantly.

The girl being manhandled by Devitt didn't dare to struggle; she just trembled tearfully.

"There's a female vampire, claiming to be Blood Queen Angela, and she asked me to deliver a message to you."

Andre nodded, speaking fluently,

"Submit to me, acknowledge me as your ruler, acknowledge me as the Vampire King of the Bolin Kingdom!"

"Those are her exact words."

Possibly due to fear of the curse taking effect, Andre didn't play any tricks and simply repeated exactly what Angela had said.

"Heh..."

"Blood Queen Angela?"

Devitt sneered mockingly, his expression amused as he looked at Andre.

"Who does she think she is? What an absurdly deluded girl!"

Devitt seemed to recall something and applied a little force with his hand.

The girl in his arms cried out in pain, and her face instantly turned deathly pale.

This time, however, Devitt's gaze was not on the girl.

He looked at Andre with scorn and mocked,

"What did that Angela offer you to make you so diligent, even making a special trip to see me?"

"You're no different from those filthy mutts!"

Upon hearing this, Andre's face struggled to maintain composure.

Although he had already visited several Gold Rank vampires in the Bolin Kingdom, none had been as disrespectful as Devitt in front of him.

"Heh, let's see if you're still as tough when you meet that person," he scoffed.

"Oh?"

Devitt showed some interest upon hearing this.

He cast the girl aside, stood up, and faced Andre.

Although Andre was a Gold Level vampire like Devitt, he felt an overwhelming pressure emanating from the other.

When had this guy become so strong?

Andre was alarmed inwardly but showed no reaction outwardly.

"So, you say this Angela is very strong?"

Devitt looked Andre up and down, then shook his head with a cold laugh.

"It's just like you, utterly pathetic."

"And you still have the nerve to run errands for someone else!"

Andre's demeanor started to crack, and he replied darkly with a laugh,

"Yes, I'm not as strong as you are."

"Four days from now, in Kate City, let's see if you dare to show up."

Before his words had faded, Andre turned into a cloud of blood mist and vanished from Devitt's presence.

Devitt stood there without trying to stop Andre's departure.

But once he was sure Andre had left, all traces of his arrogance disappeared from his face, replaced by a pensive look.

"What do you think?"

Dwight turned to the darkness behind the throne, speaking calmly, a stark contrast to his prior bombastic demeanor.

"Andre must be telling the truth,"

spoke an elderly voice out of nowhere.

"I can sense his soul is bound by a special force, continually weakening."

"Perhaps, this is the handiwork of that Blood Queen Angela."

"Just the strength involved might even surpass mine."
