I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 404 Separation and Raid_2

"I didn't expect you to have received Goddess Fenrir's blessing. We were hasty in our actions before, and I would like to apologize to you here."

"It's a small matter, don't worry about it."

Lis waved his hand, not minding the previous attack by Erza and the others.

However, the Cendelle in front of him was indeed different. Now, Lis had disguised his aura with the Shadow Power, unlike the first time he met Cecil.

He even disguised the fluctuations of his Extraordinary Domain.

To others, Lis appeared to be nothing more than a Gold-level Warrior.

Yet, Cendelle had sensed the Goddess's protective aura, something the silver-clad Elf Guard had completely missed earlier.

Cendelle shook her head and said earnestly:

"You are an esteemed guest of our Elf Clan, and regardless, it was wrong for us to attack you."

Having said that, Cendelle glanced at Erza, Gardley, and the others standing aside, who quickly lowered their heads, feeling somewhat guilty.

They had truly not expected Lis to have received the Elf Goddess Fenrilya's blessing. This meant Lis's actions were affirmed and appreciated by the Goddess herself.

Such a blessing wasn't permanent. If Lis had indeed been involved in capturing Elves, the blessing would have vanished instantly, followed by the disgust and punishment of the Goddess.

They had mistakenly taken Lis for a member of a Slave Catching Team, which was highly inappropriate.

As to whether Lis had the Goddess's blessing, even though they didn't feel it, they still unconditionally trusted Cendelle's judgment.

Facts had proved, time and again, that Cendelle Baldivia's judgment was far more wise and correct than theirs.

Cendelle gave her teammates a subtle reminder, then said to Lis:

"Mr. Lis, although I would like to talk with you, the matter of the Moon Elves is more urgent. I truly am sorry."

Lis, indifferent, waved his hand and stepped back a few paces.

He was quite curious about Cendelle; he had not heard of this Elf Clan NPC in his past life, and by her actions, she was undoubtedly a very powerful Mage.

Yet for Lis, it wasn't a big issue. Although Cendelle had a strong and unique aura, she didn't make him feel threatened.

"Lady Cendelle, Daphne is... huh?"

Erza froze, looking around, unable to find Daphne.

"Daphne..."

Upon hearing that name, Cendelle's expression seemed slightly odd.

To Lis, it appeared as if she had an 'I thought so' look about her.

After circling around, Erza finally noticed Daphne hiding behind Cecil and pulled her out to stand in front of Cendelle.

"Hehe... Sister Cendelle."

Daphne stood there, feeling extremely awkward under Cendelle's gaze, and could only offer a foolish smile.

"As I recall, Daphne, you should be in Jade City at this moment."

Cendelle stared emotionlessly at Daphne, watching the Moon Elf girl wishing she could hide in a crack in the ground.

Being captured by the Slave Catching Team was bad enough, but getting caught by Sister Cendelle was even worse.

Daphne hung her head low, not daring to look at Cendelle.

She had ventured out from Elf Land with her clan elders, intending to travel around various places in the Elf Kingdom.

After visiting the Elf Royal Court and the Elf Capital, Jade City was next on the list.

Cendelle, unlike Erza and the others, had no special status, but she was striking enough on her own merits.

As one of the top talents of the Elf Clan, Cendelle's talent even received the recognition of the Great Sage, Adela.

Because of this, Cendelle earned the opportunity to train in Elf Land.

Daphne met Cendelle during that time and had taken a liking to her; the two became like sisters.

Daphne was looking forward to visiting Jade City this time because she hadn't seen Cendelle since she left Elf Land, and she missed her sister dearly.

However, after arriving at Jade City, she learned that Cendelle had joined the Elf Guard and was on a mission in the Elf Forest.

Feeling bored in Jade City, Daphne sneaked out.

Thinking she could return before Cendelle got back to Jade City and all would be fine, Daphne never expected to be caught red-handed by her.

Even though Cendelle was kind to Daphne, she was strict when Daphne made mistakes.

That's why upon realizing her misstep, Daphne felt so apprehensive when she saw Cendelle.

"Hehe, I just wanted to see Sister Cendelle sooner, you know?"

Daphne quickly tugged on Cendelle's arm, pleading in a cutesy way.

Cendelle had intended to educate Daphne properly since she had been far too bold this time.

But faced with Daphne's pitiful look, and having not seen her for so long, Cendelle's heart softened.

"We'll talk when we get back!"

She had received a message that people from Elf Land had arrived in Jade City, which is why she had ended her patrol early to return.

Even so, Cendelle still planned to address Daphne's actions later.

Although Goddess Adela had taken precautions with Daphne, ensuring she couldn't leave the Elf Forest, that was no excuse for Daphne's reckless wandering.

After all, Daphne held a quite special place among the Moon Elves of Elf Land.

"Lord Lis, I am preparing to take Daphne to Jade City. Would you care to join us on the journey?"
