Chapter 4: Chapter 4 - Exploring the World and the First Few Days

Third person POV

After that, Basilio zipped his backpack closed, wore it on his back, and started his journey in this world on foot and towards a random and guessed direction. The young boy from Earth is now trekking through the forests while relying on his map. Luckily, his phone was now reconfigured to the map and system of this world, and he was stunned to see that it had adapted to the system of this world. "Woah… cool…"

After some time of walking and trekking, Basilio finally arrived at a civilization. It was a town called Fresa de Ard, within the Dimwell Dukedom, which was also within the jurisdiction and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Labros Rojosa, one of the countries in the Central Continent. The town was medieval-style, and it had a couple of interesting things scattered in it. At this time of day, the town's market streets are busy with people buying, selling, and chatting. Many kids are running through with fun and in playing time. Basilio was astonished with stunning to see all that, before going through the crowded market street. Then, he approached a seller and asked him, "Hey, sir, excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"

The seller of shoes and boots heard that and turned around towards him. "Oh! Hello there, lad. You're in Fresa de Ard, within the Dimwell Dukedom, which was also within the jurisdiction and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Labros Rojosa. Why?"

"Oh, um…" replied Basilio back while stuttering a bit and trying to process the seller's answer, "…thanks um…"

Observing the young man's clothes and backpack, the seller responded back, "Hmm…say, lad, are you an Otherworlder?"

 "Um…what?"

"Are you an Otherworlder? Because those few people tended to have things we never seen before."

Now trying to remember what it means, Basilio remembered its definition and use in fictional genres back in his previous life and replied back, "Yes, I am."

Chuckling a bit to try to calm and ease the boy's anxieties, the seller responded back, "It's okay, my good lad. You're not alone in this world. In my life, I saw a handful of them, entering this world, doing their thing, and such and such."

Basilio was a bit uncomfortable but wasn't that uncomfortable, knowing that he wasn't alone in being someone who entered this world via reincarnation. "Okay…thanks, sir…"

But then, his stomach growled in hunger because Basilio had walked for approximately 2 hours.

The seller heard that and recommended a tavern down the market street for him.

Basilio felt that hunger and said to the seller, "Yeah…I am hungry. Where can I find that tavern?"

The seller pointed at a tavern with a wooden-ye-old-style sign hanging above the main entrance door.

Seeing that it was nearby, Basilio looked at him. "Thanks, sir."

He then ran to that tavern while snaking his way through the crowded street.

Not long after, Basilio arrived at the tavern and entered through, seeing its mild busy activity consisting of eating, drinking, and serving customers and patrons. Cooks are busy cooking in the back kitchen while waiters and waitresses serve food to the customers and patrons. Basilio felt his hunger intensified a bit more because of the noise and smell of the food.
