I am Gryffindor!

Chapter 1: How did I get here?

In a secluded mansion in a forgotten corner of Europe, there was a room among many, and inside that room was a small red-haired baby lying in his cradle. Anyone who saw him would find the expression on his face amusing, but no one would be able to guess what was going through the baby's mind at that moment.

"WHAT THE—" My train of thought was interrupted by the sound of a nearby door opening.

That was enough to make me go on high alert, especially as the sound of footsteps drew nearer. Around me, I could observe the room I was in. It was luxurious, looking like something from the 16th century, but definitely luxurious.

The entire room was decorated in dark wood, with various lions carved in every direction, and on the ceiling, there was a Victorian painting. It depicted a red-haired man lying with his eyes closed in the shade beneath a tree, with a large-maned lion resting its head on his chest.

A very well-done painting, I must say. Wait a minute, are the tree leaves moving?

"Looks like someone is already awake," I heard a deep, masculine voice approaching.

A few seconds later, a man's face appeared over me, or rather, over my cradle. He had both gray hair and a beard, with a pair of the most electric blue eyes I had ever seen, and a loving smile on his face.

He placed his hands inside my cradle in an attempt to hold me in his arms, but I wasn't about to let just anyone hold me easily. So, in a desperate attempt, I started to thrash about.

'Get away, old man, I don't even know you, I barely got here!' I tried to say, but all that came out were angry baby grunts.

"Hahaha, calm down little Aurelius, grandpa needs to feed you," the man said, referring to himself as my grandfather. Stuck in my moment of confusion, the man, a.k.a. my grandfather, took me out of the cradle and held me in his arms.

'Grandpa?!' I wondered. A million possibilities started running through my mind about what could be happening, and the most plausible one for me: I had reincarnated.

'Damn it! How did this happen?! I had just gone to bed and plugged in my phone to charge beside me. Did it explode in my face and kill me?' I started theorizing about the possibilities.

"What's that expression on your face?" my grandpa asked, making me look at his face.

"You must be hungry, right? It's time for your dinner."

"Korvus! Bring the little Aurelius' dinner!" my grandfather called to the empty room.

'What are you expecting to happen, old man—' my thought was cut off by a loud "POP."

"Master, here is the little master's bottle," said the creature that appeared in the room. Looking more closely, it was a small thing, with big eyes, pointed ears, and wearing what looked like a pillowcase.

"Thank you, Korvus. You may leave," my grandfather said, taking the bottle from the little creature, who bowed before disappearing with another "POP."

"Here you go, little one. You can drink," he said, placing the bottle's nipple in my mouth. At that moment, I felt a hunger I hadn't noticed before, so reluctantly, I accepted and began drinking.

However, my mind was too full.

'Was that a house-elf?! Oh crap, I've been reincarnated in the Harry Potter universe!' I thought desperately.

'Damn it! I only watched Chamber of Secrets because my ex-girlfriend wanted to, how was I supposed to know I'd end up here?!'

"All done, do you want more?" My grandfather asked, removing the bottle from my mouth, which I had finished while I was lost in thought.

Back in the moment, I allowed myself to take a better look at my now grandfather.

He wore elegant clothes, adorned in red and black, and his white hair was long, flowing down to his shoulders.

'Cool clothes, maybe this won't be so bad after all,' I thought, feeling somewhat optimistic about my situation.
