Hunter x Hunter Or HxH (Isekai) With Universal System

Chapter 3: The System Gift

Chris sat on the creaky wooden floor of his room, his heart still pounding from the adrenaline of the last day. He leaned his back against the wall, staring at the faint light streaming through the cracks. His thoughts were consumed with the system—the strange, game-like interface that seemed to offer him an edge in this dangerous world.

He took a deep breath, then focused on the floating blue menu in front of him.

[System Functions Available:]

1. Status

2. Inventory

3. Missions

4. Shop

"All right," he muttered under his breath. "Let's figure out how this thing works."

Chris reached out mentally and selected the Status option.

---

Name: Chris Valentine

Age: 13

Race: Human

Level: 1

Experience: 0/100

Health: 150/150

Stamina: 80/80

Strength: 12

Luck: 7

Skills:

Adapt Evolution (Maxed)

Hand-to-Hand Combat (Lv. 2)

Awareness (Lv. 2)

Cooking (Lv. 1)

Survival (Lv. 1)

---

(The previous status was just the details of his reincarnation, Background and His Identity status. It follows like the gamer system but you need training for stats and skill upgrade but with system points he can only raise his skill level.)

Chris studied the details. His stats weren't remarkable, but they weren't terrible either. "At least I'm not starting completely at zero," he muttered, frowning at the Level and Experience bars. He figured leveling up would be crucial to boosting his stats and getting stronger.

As his gaze flicked over the stats, a realization struck him. These numbers weren't just abstract values; they were his capabilities. His Health and Endurance determined how long he could survive in a fight. Intelligence might affect his ability to strategize. And Luck... well, that was anyone's guess.

He closed the Status tab and moved on to Inventory. A grid appeared in his mind's eye, mostly empty except for a single glowing icon in the first slot.

Chris raised an eyebrow. "What's this?"

[One Time Reincarnation Gift: Alucard Bloodline (Hellsing)]

Description: The legendary bloodline of Alucard, the No-Life King. Grants the following abilities:

Enhanced Strength, Speed, and Regeneration.

Shadow Manipulation.

Immortality (Temporarily Disabled; Aging will stop at 18).

High Resistance to Physical and Mental Attacks.

Vampire Traits (Thirst for blood).

---

Chris's breath hitched. Alucard's bloodline? He wasn't an anime fanatic, but even he knew how absurdly powerful that was. His thoughts raced as he reread the description. Immortality, shadow manipulation, regeneration...

For a moment, excitement bubbled in his chest, but it was quickly smothered by a cold, rational voice in the back of his mind.

"This doesn't make me invincible," he muttered to himself. "The Five Great Calamities... those things are real. No amount of regeneration is going to stop somethings like the 5 great calamitys if it decides I'm food."

The thought of those legendary monstrosities—the Paps, AI, Hellbell, Zeobeo, and Breion—chilled him. This bloodline might make him powerful, but in the grand scheme of things, he was still just a small fish in a massive, terrifying ocean.

Chris shook his head and focused. "I don't have time for fear. I need to grow stronger if I want to survive."

Without hesitation, he selected Y to absorb the bloodline.

The moment he confirmed, an intense heat spread through his body. He gasped, clutching his chest as his muscles seemed to burn and twist. A thousand sensations overwhelmed him: the feeling of strength coursing through his veins, the sharpness of his senses, and a strange connection to the shadows around him.

---

[Bloodline Absorbed: Alucard's Bloodline Activated]

Enhanced Strength (Lv. 5)

Enhanced Speed (Lv. 5)

Regeneration (Lv. 3)

Shadow Manipulation (Lv. 1)

---

(The Skills he get from the bloodline is intrinsic skills that cannot be upgraded by using system points. His vampire Traits became optional because his 'Adapt Evolution Skill. He didn't even Know. But he will find out how broken this skill is.)

Chris exhaled shakily, standing up. He clenched his fists, feeling the raw power coursing through him. Testing his strength, he delivered a light punch to the wall. The wood cracked, sending a shiver through his arm.

"This... this is incredible," he murmured.

But even as he reveled in his newfound abilities, he reminded himself of the dangers he would face. Power wasn't enough. Strength without control or skill would only lead to failure.

He opened the Shop next, curiosity driving him. The interface revealed countless categories, from Skill Books to Training Items.

The Skill Books section caught his eye.

---

[Skill Books:]

Hand-to-Hand Combat Mastery (Lv. 1) – 200 Points

Swordsmanship Basics (Lv. 1) – 300 Points

Cooking Efficiency (Lv. 1) – 100 Points

Tracking and Hunting (Lv. 1) – 250 Points

---

Chris checked his available points.

[Points Available: 1000]

"I need to focus on the basics first," he reasoned. He purchased Hand-to-Hand Combat Mastery and Swordsmanship Basics, spending 500 points.

---

[Skills Upgraded:]

Adapt Evolution: Maxed

Hand-to-Hand Combat: Lv. 3

Swordsmanship: Lv. 1

---

A rush of knowledge filled his mind, as though he had trained for years in martial arts. He instinctively adjusted his stance, his movements more fluid. "This is insane," he muttered, testing a few punches.

His remaining points would have to wait.

Chris closed the system and stepped outside, the cool night air brushing against his skin. He needed to test his abilities further. Drawing on his newfound Shadow Manipulation, he focused, willing the darkness around him to move.

Black tendrils rose from the shadows, writhing like living entities. Chris smiled grimly. "This... will take some getting used to."

But even as he marveled at the system's potential, he couldn't shake the weight of reality. This world wasn't like Earth. Morality, laws, even basic human decency—none of it mattered here.

The strong ruled. The weak perished.

Chris clenched his fists. He had already made his choice. He would survive, no matter what it took. But survival wasn't enough—he would thrive. He would become stronger than anyone else, strong enough to face whatever horrors this world threw at him.

And when the time came, he would walk into the Dark Continent not as prey, but as a predator.
