Ten minutes earlier, outside Alexander's bedroom door, a figure crept silently through the dimly lit hallway.

After two grueling battles in the world of god slayers, Kurumi had insisted that Alexander get some proper rest. Tonight, for once, there were no plans, no distractions—just peace.

Tohru, who had been anxiously waiting for an opportunity, realized her moment had finally come. With the growing number of women in Alexander's household, Tohru feared her place in his heart was slipping. Determined to secure her status, she decided to take bold action.

Her goal? To solidify her rank as the third most important person in Alexander's family.

Approaching Alexander's bedroom door, Tohru grinned mischievously.

A simple door wasn't going to stop her. Though she often played the comic relief, Tohru was far from weak. As one of the most powerful members of Alexander's household, she could handle this easily.

"Alexander? Alexander? Are you asleep?"

Tohru whispered cautiously, observing Alexander's still figure and even breathing.

Her soft voice almost made Alexander laugh. Did she really think he hadn't noticed her sneaking around? Curious about her antics, Alexander decided to play along, keeping his eyes shut and pretending to be asleep.

Tohru, unaware of his act, took a deep breath to steady herself.

Inspired by a novel she had been reading recently, Tohru decided to take a bold approach similar to the daring heroine in the story.

Tonight, for her happiness, she was ready to take the initiative—even if it meant risking rejection.

Step…step…

With careful steps, Tohru moved closer to Alexander, stretching out her delicate hand toward his face.

However, just as her fingers were about to brush his cheek, a strong hand shot out and grabbed her wrist.

Startled, Tohru's eyes darted upward, meeting Alexander's amused, half-smiling gaze.

"Tohru, what exactly are you doing? When did you join the Night Raid Organization, and why wasn't I informed?"

Tohru huffed, crossing her arms defiantly. "Hmph! I didn't expect to be caught, but so what? I'm Tohru! The fearless dragon princess! I act boldly and take responsibility for my actions!"

In one swift motion, Tohru wrapped herself around Alexander like an octopus, her cheeks flushed a deep red.

"Tohru, you're... quite bold tonight," Alexander said, raising an eyebrow. While he had always known Tohru had a daring streak, this was beyond even his expectations.

Blushing furiously, Tohru buried her face in the quilt. "I came here of my own free will! Don't you have anything to say?"

Amused by her determination and endearing awkwardness, Alexander leaned closer to respond—

Awooo! Wooo! Awooo!

Suddenly, the howling of wolves shattered the quiet night. The sound marked the first attack by Marquis Voban.

Alexander sighed, lifting his head toward the noise. "An intruder? I suppose I should—"

Before he could finish, Tohru grabbed his arm firmly. "No! Don't go! I finally gathered the courage to come here. If you leave now, who knows when I'll get another chance? Kurumi always finds a way to monopolize your time!"

Tohru's argument was reasonable, and Alexander wasn't eager to leave either. He nodded. "It's probably just a few wolves. The defensive magic circle can handle it."

As they settled back into the moment, ready to continue their "discussion," a loud BOOM shook the villa.

The wind roared outside, and the sound of rattling windows filled the room. A massive tornado had formed, threatening to level the entire villa.

Alexander sighed deeply. "It seems someone really doesn't want us to continue."

Tohru, on the verge of achieving her goal, clenched her fists in frustration. She had been so close—just one step away! Why now, of all times?!

Overwhelmed by rage, Tohru decided she'd had enough.

In an instant, her human form disappeared, replaced by a towering, ferocious dragon. Tohru took to the skies above Alexander's villa, her golden eyes blazing with fury.

Marquis Voban, watching from a distance, froze in disbelief.

Tohru's wrath was unleashed.

Poor Voban, you've made a terrible mistake of attacking tonight~
