How to Be a Dark Hero’s Daughter

Chapter 190.2

The children were conflicted. Nigel closed the trunk lid with a mischievous smile.

“I won’t give anything to the cowardly.”

“No, let’s go.”

The boys took the bait easily. The two lifted the trunk with some struggle.

Clatter, clatter.

Then, there was a sound from beyond the forest.

“Is that the sound of horses running?”

“They might be looking for us.”

Joy spread across Nigel’s face.

“She’s here.”

“What?”

“Oh, nothing. Go to the waterside. We can’t get caught by the teachers. Act bravely!”

Nigel pushed the children’s backs and then took out a small crossbow hidden inside his cloak.

‘I don’t know how she got the scent, but thanks for coming.’

She had known from the beginning that Leticia had arrived. She had seen her riding in.

‘I want to see her weeping.’

Leticia has a weak heart, she would surely be upset. First, Nigel planned to show the demise of those foolish kids.

‘Damn that lying wench.’

She had cherished and adored the girl they had taken, but Leticia had betrayed Siebel without any gratitude and killed him.

‘Seducing us with that teasing smile.’

Nigel gritted her teeth.

The death of Doctor Siebel was regrettable, but he was just a comrade with the same purpose. The only thing precious to Nigel was herself.

What she couldn’t stand was the betrayal.

‘You said we were friends first!’

The path linking the rear gate where the carriages were lined up and the facility was dark. There was fog near the water, and the sky was overcast.

‘It’s dark, but my aim is impeccable.’

She remembered clearly the sight of Leticia’s cream-colored dress with a ribbon flapping as she rode the horse.

Swish, the crossbow was fired.

‘I hope Leticia doesn’t die instantly.’

She wanted to capture her.

Torture her for her betrayal, from her arms to her legs, one by one. It would be worth watching her beautiful face smeared with blood, sobbing.

‘I’ll kill you with care.’

Her mouth watered at the thought of committing murder after a long time.

Nieghhh!

The horse reared up on its hind legs. Nigel approached cautiously. Then it happened.

Bang.

A magic bullet was fired from behind. The bullet pierced Nigel’s arm.

“Ugh!”

What just happened?

Nigel looked up sharply. The horse saddle was empty.

‘She tied the cloak to the saddle to make it look like she was riding!’

And Leticia had ambushed her from behind.

“Come out, wench!”

Rustle.

Leticia stepped out of the bushes behind Nigel.

Holding a small-sized magic bullet gun in her hand, she gave a sly smile.

“Hello, Nigel. You look radiant. You got rehired as a coachman? Congratulations.”

“You, you, crazy woman!”

Nigel threw the crossbow and rushed at Leticia with her knife.

Bang.

However, Leticia didn’t even blink and fired another bullet.

“All my life, I never thought I’d be called a crazy woman by an actual insane.”

Leticia, with a thud, pinned Nigel down.

She shoved her magic bullet gun into her mouth.

“It seems like I haven’t wasted my life, right?”

“Mmm!”

Nigel gritted her teeth, but couldn’t move.

“All the people you’ve killed might have been weak, but I’m not. Even if they’re weak, killing them is just as wrong.”

“…!”

“Besides, didn’t both of us learn hunting from that bastard?”

Leticia narrowed her eyes.

She took a deep breath and pulled out her gun.

“Now, tell me, where are the children?”

Nigel chuckled weakly.

“Wouldn’t it be faster to check by the river?”

“What?”

“It’s already too late, you wench.”

“…!”

“Children are fascinating. They do all the bad things they’re told.”

A chill ran down Leticia’s spine.
