Chapter 112: The Emperor's Secret Visit!
'Is this… is this even considered human anymore?'
Tesla had seen humans in many forms of existence, but never one as versatile as this.
"Tesla, why did you stop fighting? If you don't fight, I'll change back."
A person could be a clown, but one shouldn't live like one.
The former was the oppression and persecution of social relations, while the latter was just a self-centered idiot.
Luckily, Tesla had only been a clown for a little while before the fight, overconfidently thinking that she was invincible. But now…
She had been slapped awake.
"I'm not fighting anymore. I don't have the strength now."
It was impossible to tell if Doctor Tesla truly had no strength left or was just pretending.
Noldrei was disappointed. It was rare for him to try completely transforming into an inorganic form, but Tesla gave up so quickly.
He had wanted to experience other ways to use Honkai power, but the reality was different from what he had imagined.
Since he was already in the form of a 'light sphere,' he decided he didn't feel like changing back.
Tesla could be described as landing from the sky with simple flight, but Noldrei from the sky was more of a 'falling' situation.
The residents of Nagazora City probably hadn't seen such spectacular Honkai fireworks in their lives. Just by looking at the sky, they could roughly tell that these fireworks were a bit big.
In the clear sky dozens of kilometers away, they could even see someone wiping away the clouds above Nagazora City as if they were wiping a window.
It felt like the sky was falling.
"I used to think that worrying about nothing was a ridiculous state of mind, but today... I have a new perspective."
Hachiman Hikigaya was indeed a cultured man, his neck was already stiff from looking up.
Even so, he still tried his best to see what was happening in the sky.
Even though he couldn't see anything, except the beam of light sweeping across the horizon.
But he simply wanted to know how he would die in the future.
Life was full of twists and turns. How could he have known that he would one day see mecha and superpowers?
Now that he had seen superpowers, seeing superhumans, battleships, and things like psionic energy and antimatter engines should be natural, right?
Come to think of it, without the backing of sufficiently powerful forces, the establishment of the Academy City would not have been so smooth.
Hachiman Hikigaya realized, that there must be someone acting as a deterrent in the sky above Earth, to keep those with ill intentions in check.
It was like the U.S. dropping two atomic bombs on the Japan.
Hachiman Hikigaya, who was educated by his ancestors, deeply understood the leadership spirit of the Academy City.
"It's not like the sun in the sky can just fall down, right?"
Hachiman scoffed, thinking that when the sky fell, there were always tall people to hold it up. It was unlikely that he, a mere foot soldier, would be the one to charge into the battle.
"You should say the Earth flies up, not the sun falling down. The larger gravity will always pull the smaller gravity. But you can't be on the smaller gravity side and then say the larger one came to you. In reality, it was the things under your feet that went up."
Hachiman Hikigaya didn't expect that someone else would be this knowledgeable. He also didn't pay much attention to who was behind him.
He nodded, agreeing, "Makes sense, humans are creatures of perception after all."
Having said that, Hachiman Hikigaya turned around, and then his entire body froze.
He was standing by a bench in a small park. He had just been sitting there when he saw the fireworks in the sky, and then he had gotten up to see what was going on.
And now…
Why was there a big ball of light in the park?
'This thing probably has some radiation, right? Should I get down on my knees? Would he understand that my actions mean submission?'
"You're a bit nervous, but there's no need to be…"
When the transparent membrane on the light sphere touched the ground, it quickly absorbed the surrounding plants.
Along with the rustling sound of plants growing, there was also the sound of bones and muscles rubbing together.
This big light sphere quickly transformed into a naked 'man.'
It was described as a man because it just looked like a human, similar to a mannequin in a shop. He didn't have the normal 'plumbing' system.
"Put on the clothes!"
Tesla angrily threw her white coat at Noldrei.
That was the only outerwear she had that she could give him.
"It's okay. I've studied the behavior of primitives. As long as you have a paternal male appearance, you can be naked in front of each other without a problem. I even invited Siegfried to shower with me the other day, but he didn't agree."
'Why did a three-eyed kid appear now?'
Hachiman Hikigaya thought that he should leave as soon as possible. He didn't think he was suited for a place like this.
After Noldrei simply draped the white coat around himself, he finally looked a bit more human.
He said to Tesla, "Your internal energy attack power is not enough. Once I change my survival form, you can't touch me at all. Next time, remember to do some research on power from a more micro perspective. Internal energy attacks are a bit outdated. But I don't have a way to do it right now. The genes of primitives are limited by their own proteins. If you want to break through further, you still need the assistance of Honkai energy... sigh..."
Noldrei shook his head regretfully. He had hoped that Tesla's attack would be more powerful.
"Do you think everyone is like you, with a body like that! I haven't seen anyone who can…"
Tesla realized that there was an outsider present, so she immediately stopped talking to prevent Noldrei's identity as a future human from leaking.
"It's okay, you'll all see it sooner or later. It's just a transformation between organic and inorganic forms. Whether it's silicon-based or carbon-based, the essence is the same. There's no difference. It's all the target of the interaction force between atoms and ions."
"The thing that divided silicon-based and carbon-based into different things, is just you primitives' stupid method of classifying matter. What's the difference between that and using black, white, and yellow to divide humans?"
Noldrei looked down on such behavior. He seemed to have a more advanced method of classification, but he wouldn't tell anyone. Instead, he left them to guess randomly, then hid to watch their jokes.
'What are you talking about?! Did I hear something I shouldn't have? Are you going to kill me to keep my mouth shut?'
"Yes, yes, we're all primitives, we're all primitives. Okay, we've already fought, shouldn't we go back now?"
Doctor Tesla was too lazy to change Noldrei's view of humans. With genetic technology advanced to his level, it was understandable that he looked down on ordinary humans.
What he looked down on more were the 'primitive' views of modern humans.
Doctor Tesla didn't want to argue with Noldrei, and she saw the metal bracelet on the young man's hand, and asked in surprise, "Oh? Has no one taken that off yet? That thing is useless now, it's just a one-time identification tool."
Hachiman Hikigaya frowned, suddenly remembering the suffering he had endured these past few days.
