"Lady Bishop, I didn't expect you to have a penchant for cross-dressing and role-playing."
On the plane, Ana glanced at Susannah, the Valkyrie from Phosphor Squad seated beside her, with a subtle smile playing on her lips.
Yes, outwardly, this person appeared as Susannah, the somewhat naive and wealthy Valkyrie, but in reality, she was indeed Bishop Otto of Schicksal.
Despite being familiar with this plot twist beforehand, witnessing it unfold before her eyes made it hard for Ana to keep a straight face. She knew Susannah well; back when the senior members of the Snow Lotus Squad were still around, there had been frequent interactions between the Snow Lotus and Phosphor Squads.
"Lady Ana, what are you talking about?"
Hearing Ana's words, Susannah tilted her head with confusion, looking at Ana innocently. Those clear and genuine eyes once again made it hard for Ana to maintain her composure. However, this time she refrained from further teasing and subtly turned away.
Out of sight, out of mind.
After all, Otto was both her superior and the Schicksal Bishop. As a mere Valkyrie, a bit of light mockery should suffice; pushing it too far might invite retaliation. If he decided to sabotage her during crucial moments using his manipulative tactics, things could get unpleasant. Bishop Otto of Schicksal wasn't known for being forgiving.
At London's airport, Ana and "Susannah" were greeted by Rita and Bianka who had come to meet them.
"Ana? I didn't expect Lord Bishop to send you along as well."
Bianka's face showed surprise upon seeing Ana, while Rita nodded slightly, having been informed beforehand about Ana's arrival by the Lord Bishop.
"Just taking a break and escorting this clumsy little one here," Ana shrugged, then gently pulled "Susannah" over, who was curiously scanning their surroundings like an eager child.
"Susannah" abruptly spun around, nearly losing her balance, but Bianka swiftly reached out to steady her.
"Are you alright?"
"Wow! It's Lady Durandal! I'm your biggest fan, Lady Durandal!" Susannah's eyes sparkled with excitement as she eagerly rushed towards Bianka. Witnessing this scene, Ana could only chuckle softly. Indeed, Lord Bishop possessed remarkable talent when it came to performances.
"Do you remember me? I'm Susannah from the Phosphor Squad, whom you helped during the Dubai Honkai Event!"
Bianka looked at the exuberant Valkyrie, her gaze filled with confusion, and replied honestly:
"I don't recall..."
It was true; during the Dubai incident, Bianka had merely gone through the motions, effortlessly dispatching Honkai Beasts without much interaction with the Phosphor Squad.
"It seems that this is the Valkyrie sent by the Lord Bishop himself."
On the side, Rita squinted slightly, offering a somewhat helpless smile. She couldn't quite understand why the Lord Bishop would send such a Valkyrie. While her personality was indeed charming, she appeared rather unreliable at first glance.
However, since Lord Bishop sent her, there must have been some deeper meaning behind it.
"Miss Rita! I'm Susannah, here under orders from the bishop to assist you with investigating the Divine Keys!"
"Yes, hello. It's nice to meet you," Rita replied courteously as always.
Bianka crossed her arms and watched their interaction, a faint smile on her face.
"Now that you've met your contact, no need to see me off."
"Huh? Lady Durandal, aren't you joining us?"
"I'm just here for vacation; Headquarters urgently called me back to deal with Honkai Beasts."
"So, please take care of Miss Rita!"
As Bianka made a particular gesture, Susannah's gaze grew even more fervent.
"Oh—Lady Durandal is so cool!"
"Don't worry, ma'am! I'll do my utmost to live up to your expectations and fully support Miss Rita!"
Behind Susannah, Rita cleared her throat.
"Ahem... We should be going now."
Honestly, even Rita found it hard to bear as Susannah continuously flirted with Bianka, stirring an indescribable feeling within her heart.
"Well then, Rita, see you at Schicksal Headquarters," Ana waved, noticing that Rita and Susannah were also preparing to leave.
"Huh?! Lady Ana, aren't you joining us?"
"The Lord Bishop only tasked me with escorting you. Now that my mission is complete, I must return." Ana explained softly, squinting slightly. In truth, she felt like giving "Susannah" a few knocks on the head—Why ask when you already know, damn it?
To make the World Serpent operative believe they would depart together, Susannah had certainly gone all out.
"Alright..." A disappointed expression crossed Susannah's face before Rita led her away.
Ana and Bianka stood side by side, watching them leave.
"Let's go." Ana turned her head towards Bianka and gently said. This might not be bad, she thought. It perfectly allowed her to send Rita away, leaving just herself and Bianka alone.
"Alright." Bianka nodded, her expression unfazed.
Upon reflection, it made sense. The Lord Bishop wouldn't have simply sent Ana to escort Susannah. Judging by Ana's reaction, her mission likely aligned with Bianka's own—perfectly convenient.
Soon, Bianka led Ana to their accommodations.
Despite having ample funds (it was technically a paid vacation), Bianka chose a smaller room. However, opening the window revealed a stunning view, showcasing her discerning taste.
"This place was recommended by Rita," Bianka explained as she sat on the sofa and took a sip of her tea.
Ana sprawled out on the soft bed, letting out a contented sigh. She had been working late nights non-stop for days, barely getting any rest.
"It's fantastic! No surprise from Rita; always so thoughtful!"
"But according to the boss, this is the last available room."
"We'll just cuddle up tonight like old times, back when we first started Valkyrie training." Ana rolled over, propping her head on one hand with a smile.
"Hmm, but I think you should sleep alone tonight," Bianka suggested with a nod.
"Eh?! Why? Bianka, don't tell me you're fed up with me already? Waaah, after being such long-time comrades and close friends!" Ana feigned tears, dramatically protesting to her old friend.
Bianka's face showed a hint of exasperation as she watched Ana's antics. "Have you forgotten Lord Bishop's mission?"
"How could I forget?" Ana blinked innocently.
"Then why aren't we setting out immediately?" Bianka stood up, sounding irked. She retrieved a set of casual clothes from the wardrobe and tossed them casually to Ana. Catching the garments, Ana noticed the faint scent of the young girl on them, indicating that Bianka had worn this outfit before.
