Honkai Impact 3rd: Catching the Herrscher of Sentience at the Start

Chapter 75: Chapter 72: The Battle Between The Herrscher of Void and The Herrscher of Sentience, and the Onlookers on the Sidelines

"Wow, everyone's busy, huh? Nice work—it's looking really clean!" Fu Shi returned, carrying a wooden box and beaming at the bustling scene.

"What's that?" Fu Lin asked, curious about the locked chest Fu Shi was holding.

"You'll see in a moment." Fu Shi carefully set the box on the table, dusted it off, and unlocked it. Inside lay a small figure with dark brown hair and white clothing, peacefully asleep.

"Is that... the Book of Fuxi?" Fu Lin stared at the tiny figure, a perfect match for the Book of Fuxi, one of the game's elf's.

---------------------------

"That's right, but now it's in sleep mode because it ran out of energy. Huh? Even if I didn't say it, you should know, right?" Fu Shi gently stroked the Book of Fuxi lying inside the box as she explained, then turned to Fu Lin.

"I'm not entirely sure. Back when I was playing Honkai Impact 3rd, I skipped everything except your storyline. I only learned about some of the other stories by watching videos," Fu Lin admitted, scratching his head awkwardly. After all, he was mainly there for the Herrscher of Sentience, and he skipped through everything else without a second thought.

"So, are you planning to wake up the Book of Fuxi?" Fu Lin asked, looking at Fu Shi.

"It's not the right time yet. I don't have the energy source to power it, but in the future, Schicksal or Anti-Entropy might have something."

"I just wonder if the old antique will cry and make a scene when she comes back and can't find the Book of Fuxi, only to learn that it's with me. She'll probably beg me, crying, to give it back to her."

"Ah, just imagining it feels so satisfying, hahaha!" Fu Shi's lips curled up, picturing the scene of Fu Hua begging her.

"Heh →_→" Fu Lin sneered from the side. "Beware of scamming your 'dear mom.'"

"Brother, everything is cleaned up!" Sirin ran up to Fu Lin with a broom in hand, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him.

"Sirin, great job! It's spotless. Did you dispose of the trash properly?" Fu Lin praised her generously as he looked at the clean area outside. However, there was no trace of the trash that should have been left behind.

"Don't worry, Brother! I sent it to the Imaginary Space with my powers." Sirin patted her chest confidently.

That's not how you're supposed to use powers!

If you don't want them, at least give them to me!

Fu Lin's mouth twitched, and his eyes filled with envy.

"The Herrscher of the Void's powers are completely wasted in your hands. Who uses powers like this?" Fu Shi protested on behalf of the other Herrscher's.

She was utterly unaware that she wasn't much better.

"Hah? Do I need you to teach me how to use my powers? I was using them long before you were even born☆," Sirin retorted, crossing her arms and floating in the air as she looked down at the Herrscher of Sentience.

"Oh, we're comparing who's higher up now? Bring it on—I'm not afraid of you!" Fu Shi pulled out her sword and flew above Sirin with a smug grin.

"...." Fu Lin stood below, watching their childish antics, unsure of what to say.

"Wow! You can fly! Master really is an immortal!"

"Master, teach me how to do that!" Wutong exclaimed excitedly, tossing aside her broom as she gazed up at the two floating figures.

"Let me take care of this pufferfish first, then I'll teach you," Fu Shi said, digging her ears casually, showing no regard for Sirin.

"Take care of me? Haha, how ridiculous☆!" Sirin laughed as she summoned the Spear of the Void and launched it at Fu Shi.

"You struck first, so don't blame me for being impolite!" Fu Shi dodged the spear and, in the spirit of fairness, sent a flying sword hurtling back at Sirin.

Watching the two battling in midair, Fu Lin quickly ran inside… and came back with a chair?

He then brought out a bag of sunflower seeds, settled in, and started watching the fight with great interest, even occasionally offering suggestions to both sides.

Even the excited Wutong, who was cheering and gesturing wildly moments ago, crouched down beside Fu Lin and pulled out her own handful of sunflower seeds to snack on.

"Lin, isn't this a bit inappropriate?" Yae Sakura asked, looking up at the two fighting figures with a hint of worry.

"It's fine. Fu Shi and Sirin won't take it too far. Want some?" Fu Lin waved off her concern and offered her some sunflower seeds.

Yae Sakura hesitated for a moment before accepting them. She joined in, munching on sunflower seeds while watching the fight unfold.

"This is... surprisingly enjoyable?" Yae Sakura commented, her ears twitching unconsciously as she snacked.

"Big Sister, I want some too!"
