Hogwarts: Rise of the Dark Legacy

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: The Meaning Of The Mudblood

"Have you heard clearly?" Jamie asked, his tone sharp but calm.

Draco, sprawled on the ground, trembled as he looked up at Jamie. His usual bravado was gone, replaced by fear.

"I... I heard clearly," Draco muttered, his voice barely audible.

"Speak up," Jamie said, folding his arms. "You were loud enough a moment ago."

"I heard clearly!" Draco repeated, louder this time, though tears welled in his eyes.

Jamie smirked. "Good. Learn some manners, Malfoy. A clean mouth makes for a safer life."

With a flick of his wand, Jamie helped Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle back onto their feet. Crabbe and Goyle huddled nervously behind Draco, glancing warily at Jamie.

At that moment, Percy Weasley appeared in the doorway, his prefect badge gleaming on his chest. He adjusted his glasses and puffed out his chest. "What's going on here? Is there a problem?"

Draco opened his mouth to speak, but Jamie cut in. "Nothing at all, Percy. Just a friendly chat. Isn't that right, Malfoy?"

Draco glared at Jamie but didn't dare argue. "Yeah... just a chat."

Percy looked skeptical but nodded. "Very well. If there's any trouble, I expect you to come to me. I'm the prefect for Gryffindor, after all."

"Of course," Jamie said with a smile. "We wouldn't dream of causing trouble."

Percy gave them all one last suspicious look before turning and walking away.

As soon as he was gone, Draco shot Jamie a venomous glare. "You'll pay for this."

Jamie shrugged, his grin unwavering. "We'll see. Just remember what I said, Malfoy—mind your manners."

With that, Jamie turned away, leaving Draco and his cronies fuming but unwilling to make another move.

"We're fine, we're just joking around, aren't we?"

Jamie smiled and looked at Draco and the three of them.

"Yes, it is."

Draco didn't dare to look at Jamie, and whispered that he was really scared, and this fear came from the bottom of his heart.

As for Crabbe and Gore, they are completely based on the Della family, and they dare not say anything.

"Since there's nothing else to do, go back to your car and stop wandering outside."

Percy put on a face, pretending to be serious, but his expression was completely learned from an adult, and his immature face was pretending to be serious, which made people find it funny.

"You can go, but don't forget what I said."

Jamie said.

"Yes, it is..."

Hearing what Jamie said, the three of them left quickly without looking back, as if they were being pardoned, as if some monster was chasing them.

After that, Jamie also returned to the carriage, and Ron and Harry immediately surrounded him.

"Jamie, what you did was so cool. Seeing Malfoy's appearance, he almost cried and called his mother!"

Ron laughed, feeling quite relieved, if Jamie hadn't shot, he would have beaten Malfoy hard.

"Jamie, it's not right for you to do this. Although Malfoy said something outrageous, we can't bully our classmates."

Hermione said seriously, if Toby hadn't stopped her just now, she would have stopped Jamie a long time ago, no matter what, bullying classmates is always wrong.

"Hey! Let me tell you, do you have a conscience? Jamie did this to vent his anger on you. Do you know what that Mudblood means? It's a very vicious curse word."

Ron started to fight for Jamie.

"But, no matter what, you can't beat people, you can't bully your classmates, and what does that mudblood mean?"

Hermione still insisted on her point.

"Mudblood is a very rude word."

"Wizards from pure-blood families always have a sense of superiority. They will call Muggle-born wizards mudbloods."

"The word Mudblood is the Muggle equivalent of some swear words."

Toby explained.

Hermione's face was a little ugly, and she suddenly thought of some extremely insulting words, but she didn't expect that such words would appear in the wizarding world.

"Now you know how much Malfoy has gone too far. If it wasn't for Jamie, I would have wanted to beat Malfoy hard."

Ron said.

"But, no matter what, you can't hit people... It's wrong to do so."

Hermione muttered, in fact, she can't be blamed for this, she has been educated like this all along, and this kind of thinking cannot be changed in a short period of time.

It's like an ordinary person who suddenly came to another world, and then asked him to kill people. He couldn't do it at all, because that's how he had been educated all along, and thoughts, morals, and laws bound him.

It is difficult to change mentality and thinking in a short period of time, unless there is a huge change, at that time, it may be changed.

"The wizarding world is not a peaceful world. You should have read the Daily Prophet. Those terrible things happened in Diagon Alley during the summer vacation..."

Toby said.

"Yes, I know that. Most of Diagon Alley was destroyed by an evil dark wizard, and the goblin's Gringotts was also destroyed. I heard that many goblins died."

Ron immediately said that his father was the Director of the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Division at the Ministry of Magic and had always been well informed about some of the information.

"I also know about this, and I have personally experienced it. At that time, Hagrid took me into the Leaky Cauldron, and Professor Quirrell and Hagrid of Hogwarts were attacked by a dark wizard..."

Harry also talked about his experience, and later Hermione and Neville joined in, and the discussion was very lively.

"Hey! What are you talking about?"

The door of the carriage opened, and a pair of red-haired twins squeezed in.
