Hogwarts: Rise of the Dark Legacy

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Revisiting Diagon Alley

"Oh, Merlin's beard! Could it be that I was so busy I overlooked a young wizard?"

Professor McGonagall patted herself on the forehead. Hogwarts' admission book couldn't be wrong. Since Jamie Campbell Ball's name was in it, it proved that he was qualified to attend Hogwarts.

The decision of the Book of Admission and the Pen of Acceptance is immutable, and so far no student has been admitted to Hogwarts whose name was not recorded on the yellowed pages of the Book of Admission.

When a child first manifests a gift for magic, the quill flies out of the inkwell, and the child's name is entered in the Book of Access.

"Fortunately, school hasn't started yet, and there is still time. I have to hurry up and send the Hogwarts admission letter to that little wizard's home."

Professor McGonagall hurriedly left the tower, returned to her office, and then she got to work.

"Oh, the address is... Godric's Valley 17! I remember a little wizard named Toby Regbo lived there too. Could it be that the two little wizards lived together?"

"Forget it, I don't have time to deal with these things now, so let's send the letter as soon as possible."

Even if two young wizards live together, it's no big deal, Professor McGonagall sent the owl in the school to deliver the Hogwarts admission letter.

Godric's Valley 17.

"It seems that the admission letter to Hogwarts has been delivered."

Jamie smiled as he watched an owl flying straight towards him.

Removing the letter from the owl's lap, Jamie threw a crumb at it, and the owl swallowed it and left.

"Let me take a look..."

Jamie opened the envelope and took out two parchments.

"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."

"Principal: Albus Dumbledore (President of the International Federation of Wizards, First-Class Grand Wizard of the Merlin Sir Order, Chief Wizard of the Wizengamot)"

"Dear Mr Ball:

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Enclosed is a list of required books and equipment.

Semester is scheduled to start on September 1. We will wait for your owl to bring your reply before August 4th. "

"Vice Principal Minerva McGonagall."

"The Hogwarts admission letter really hasn't changed at all, and it doesn't even include a card. It's a pity there's only this one magic school in the entire country. Otherwise, it wouldn't struggle so much to recruit enough students."

"Look at the admission notice of the Muggle school. It really is that the whole wizarding world exudes an old and decayed smell. Wizards simply won't keep pace with the times."

After reading the Hogwarts admission letter, Jamie complained.

"The so-called "International Statute of Secrecy" was originally intended to protect wizards, but sooner or later the magic world will be exposed. It's just a matter of time."

Toby was slightly dismissive.

As the Muggle society entered the information age, it was time for the magic world to be exposed.

Muggle technology is constantly developing, but the entire wizarding world has remained unchanged.Natural selection and survival of the fittest. If wizards continue like this, they will be eliminated sooner or later.

"Let's go, let's go to Diagon Alley. Part of it should have been repaired. You need to buy your wand and school supplies there."

Toby said.

"I think I should turn on the fireplace at home and connect to the Floo network. Apparating is not a good feeling."

Jamie shrugged.

"It's not necessary, I don't want outsiders to come to the house, and the feeling of using the Floo network is the same. The current magic of space transmission in the magic world is basically uncomfortable."

Toby shook his head. The Floo Network was under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Magic, and he didn't like the Ministry of Magic.

"Ok, let's go then."

Jamie put a hand on Toby's shoulder.

Toby raised his eyebrows, glanced at Jamie, but didn't say anything, and directly used Apparition, and the two disappeared into the room.

Somewhere in Diagon Alley, Toby and Jamie appeared here. This time they did not pass through the Leaky Cauldron, but came directly to Diagon Alley.

Diagon Alley was severely damaged not long ago, and now it is undergoing major construction, and the wizards coming and going are very busy.

There are many things that wizards can use magic to repair, but there are also some things that cannot be repaired by magic, such as buildings and items burned by Fiendfyre.

Gringotts in Diagon Alley was destroyed, and the goblins suffered heavy losses. Now the goblins are rebuilding Gringotts.

However, in order to facilitate the deposit and withdrawal of money by the wizards, the goblins still set up several temporary work stations in front of Gringotts.

"Those greedy goblins probably wouldn't have imagined that the culprit who robbed Gringotts is now strolling confidently right in front of them!"

Jamie leaned into Toby's ear and chuckled softly.

"The theft from Gringotts is none of our business. It was the work of an evil dark wizard."

Toby glared at Jamie. Can such a thing be said? You must know that with their current strength, they are not yet able to dominate the entire wizarding world.

What they have to do now is to build high walls, accumulate food widely, and slowly become kings. Simply put, they are low-key.

"Okay, okay, I get it, be a low-key person, and do things high-key."

Jamie said.

"Now, let's go buy a wand first, and then go shopping for other things after buying the wand."

Toby said.

The two walked along the way and saw that many shops in Diagon Alley were destroyed and were under construction or renovation. Although the culprit was Toby, Toby didn't feel guilty at all.

In the wizarding world, magic is power.

Ollivander's wand shop narrowly escaped disaster, probably because the location of the shop was too far from Gringotts, so it was not affected.

"Good afternoon, gentlemen, are you looking for a wand?"
